I ordered a burger and a Reuben to go. I put in the notes. Ruben is to have gluten-free bun. I double checked before the order was placed. My daughter went in to pick it up and the bun was not gluten-free. She politely asked for that to get changed out, the very large lady with pink hair was extremely rude and cleared at her the whole time. It would’ve been way easier for her to just change out the bun and say have a great evening but instead she went Out of her way to make my daughter feel bad. This is unacceptable. We have been to Aubrey’s many times and I’ve always had amazing service. So this review is only reflection of one employee in particular as a whole. Aubrey’s has always been great.
I absolutely love Mellow Mushroom, it’s one of my go to restaurants. I absolutely love that they accommodate my gluten free allergy. They take all safety precautions into consideration when it comes to gluten free foods. They have several gluten free pizza options and a gluten free brownie! Not to mention their friendly service!
We LOVE this taco hub! This is one of the only places my husband (who is very allergic to gluten) can find hard taco shells. Laney was our server this time and was fabulous!
Everyone we’ve ever had wait on us here has been wonderful. The tacos are second to none. We LOVE love love this restaurant; it’s our favorite here! If you’re on the fence, go! Support local artists (the place is full of local art!) and delightful tacos!
This place is the real deal! My gf and I have eaten here twice in one day. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is fantastic. Huge portions too. They are also very celiac friendly and I always feel safe when I eat here. Favorite restaurant in Knoxville!
This is a cute little place with good food and a great place to take the kids. It is in a strip mall in Knoxville. The place has a 80’s gaming vibe. The music is from the 80’s but not the original artists. Some of menu items are named after video game characters. They played anime shows on the TV. The decor was video game character figurines, posters, etc. You place your order at the counter or via the QR code and they bring the food to your table. I had the morning after burger which had bacon and egg on the burger. Very tasty. My husband had the same burger but with a gluten free bun. Tater tots were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They have 7 stand up video games from the 80’s like Asteroids, Centipede, Burger Time, Ms PAC Man, etc. and the games were free!!! It was a little dark in there at some of the tables so just be aware. It is not a very big place so it could be an issue if you have a very big group and there are other diners.
Great vibe, and better food! Kitchen staff was knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity and came out to correct our order out of extra caution to avoid a food that had gluten in it!
Great atmosphere. Friendly, smiling faces greeting and seating. Drink order prompt, nice friendly chat with server to start the order. Food was delivered quickly with everything as ordered. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. I will eat here again and bring my family next time. Wish i had room for dessert because it looked tasty in the pic. A server was at a near by table explaining they offered a gluten free dessert. Go & enjoy some great outback food when you are in knoxville.
I always have the best time here! Me and my boyfriend are obsessed with the pasta bravo! And being gluten free they have sooooo many options! Basically any pasta can be turned gluten free which is such a plus!
The gluten free options are not readily identifiable. They give you a list of things “with” gluten, so you navigate the menu and avoid anything containing those items. I wanted nachos, with no crispy onions. Every other ingredient was ok according to my list. The waitress was not knowledgeable. I asked her to ask the kitchen. They said there were too many gluten containing ingredients, but did not specify what they were. Very disappointed. I was told they have a lot of gluten free “sides”. I didn’t come for the sides. 👎🏻 I ended up not getting anything.
The atmosphere was very laid back and open seating outside with plenty of elbow room away from the other tables. Friendly staff. I had the hangover burger with fries and a side salad with the strawberry vinaigrette. Everything tasted phenomenal and fresh! Will be back again. Sister got the Patriot burger with gluten free bun and she said the bun tasted good and didn't taste like the generic gluten free bun.
Literally no gluten freen options other than sushi. This place was dead on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Barely anyone manning registers. Didn't even bother ordering. As for atmosphere, what atmosphere? Maybe 5 people in the entire place and 3 of them were using the bathroom and left
Took my wife here for our anniversary and she’s got Celiac so it’s very rare that’s she can eat at a restaurant without having bad side effects. Our server Ozzy was very helpful, patient and meticulous going over the menu with my wife; specifically concerning food allergies. Ozzy even ran back to the kitchen three times to double check for us. Wife never had negative side effects, the food was delicious, and the whole experience was worth every penny
Having Celiac disease and going out to eat is not always an easy task.
I enjoyed a burger and brew or drink, as advertised on Monday's.
Cheddar burger with all of the dressing. I had the baked potato as my side item. Sweet tea with a lemon to drink.
I really enjoyed my burger. It was hot and fresh.
I have Celiac disease so I always order from the Gluten Free menu. I also inform my server, as well.
I've come to Bonefish Grill at this location often.
This time I ordered the Mahi Mahi and shrimp with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I got very sick. In the bathroom all night and the next day.
I guess I won't be returning to this restaurant. Very disappointed.
I love this place. And maybe my review will change next time I visit. The cashier rolled her eyes when my aunt who has celiac asked about menu items. I had told her how friendly this place was. Oops. Then it just seemed like no one was happy that day. Food was okay. Off day I guess. I will go back because I know it's a good place to eat.
The quality of the food and the service has been outstanding each of the 8–10 times that I’ve eaten dined here. They do an amazing job with their gluten-free pizzas, they’re the best that I’ve had anywhere, and their wings are amazing.
Same order as my FIRST TIME experience. Bad first. Then good....
-The bad👎-
1️⃣ The 2 coffee cups on my table were still dirty. One still had lip stick on it🤢. The waitress grabs the other table coffee cups and they were dirty too. I finally just wiped one coffee cup out with my hands and poured coffee in it. Because I felt bad for the young waitress watching me find these things in absolute horror 😂. I could see shortly after they huddled around all the coffee cups and wiped them down. 😑... Should of been wiped down and re-washed..... The white plate that was decorativly brown speckled kind of threw me off since my coffee cups were dirty.🤢. I pushed through it though.
2️⃣Price was a bit steep for me but we did pick gluten-free items and they tend to be slightly more expensive. I don't like to eat out much (something about never knowing if your dishes will be clean when you eat out 🫣) so I don't have a solid variety of places to compare to.... but yes I could of ate cheaper somewhere else for sure so price seemed a bit steep to me. Kids plate especially
-The good👍-
1️⃣Food was delicious! I'm a French toast snob and it was delicious... (eating off that brown speculated plates was a struggle 😅)
2️⃣Loved having my own insulated coffee pitcher on the table. Ready to pour.
3️⃣Overall the place appeared clean (except them coffee cups)
4️⃣Gluten-free options! Love the inclusive cooking options for people struggling with their health.
I love frequenting this restaurant. I've enjoyed many different entrée options and they were all gluten free. They accommodate my requests and specialty orders and they have never made a mistake! They deserve a shout out!

We were on a little birthday excursion when hunger hit hard. We stumbled upon this place by accident and I am SO GLAD we did!! I have a gluten allergy so the fact that they have a separate menu and gf v and vg markers is a huge bonus! The food was fantastic and service was excellent! I got the chicken bacon ranch on a gluten free bun and we split the Brussel sprouts.. fantastic, highly recommend!! My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and loved it! Not so hot that he was uncomfortable but great heat and flavor!

My wife and I had the small orders of steak stroganoff and shared an appetizer of the pot stickers. The food was of good quality. The service was respectful and fastidious. They also have a bunch of different gluten free noodles to switch out for their entrees. The restaurant has seen some use. Ripped cushions and markings, but still clean in its state. The music play list was a little awkward for the restaurant, though we loved it....it sounded like someone was playing their playlist of late 90s and early 2000s rock kits by bands like audioslave and others. Just didn't fit the mood of sitting down at a restaurant....more like my dorm room and eating pad Thai takeout....still noodles linking it together I guess.
Breakfast was great. Service was stellar - thank you Jenn!
We had the SoCal Hash. One of us is gluten free so subsituted GF toast for corn tortillas as the server said the corn tortillas had wheat in them.
Food was very fresh and tasty. (Note- If someone is on a low-salt diet, this particular dish might not be the best option.)
Would definitely return.
We love Bella Roma Pizza! They have the best Gluten Free Cauliflower Crust in Knoxville. I get the GF Margarita and my family gets hand tossed thin crust with sausage and pepperoni. We are from NY and on a constant persuit to find good pizza. Bella Roma is our favorite! Also, the owners Solmon and Yuseff are very friendly, which makes us love this place even more.
Fantastic food and friendly staff. I have a gluten allergy, and before they served us, they realized they added potatoes that were cooked in a fryer with food containing gluten. They apologize and re-cooked a complete new meal. They could have simply removed the contaminated food, but we're kind enough to make sure it was safe. It's definitely one of our favorite Knoxville restaurants.
The meal we had was one of the best I've ever had! They have a gluten-free risotto that's amazing, and my husband loved his carbonara. I wish we had this restaurant in Nashville, I'd love to come back!
The first time we went the staff were rude so we didn’t eat.
We went back last night and there were different workers on staff (including the owner) who were nicer so we ate. Wish we hadn’t.
The good: french fries were great, but also a very small portion.
The bad: the burgers were dominated by the cheese taste which is at best a very cheap grade of orange American cheese. The regular bun had a bitter crust and deflated to chewy flat and tasteless after the first bite. The gluten free bun was dry, and crumbled into an uneatable mess.
I specifically asked for no bacon but was charged for and received bacon. I don’t eat pork, but for $1.75 it appeared to be a very fatty cut of the meat and only two slices which were about 2 inches each.
Out of all the toppings, (and I got them all) the only discernible taste was mustard and ketchup. A shame since there were two kinds of onions, jalapeños and many other flavors that I would have loved to experience on my burger.
The actual ground beef patties were very pretty much flavorless even plain.
Overall, it took way too long to get our order (and the burgers were actually cold as soon as we picked them up) The price was not commensurate to the quality at $20 per person not counting a tip which we always gladly include. The only “upgrade” I asked for was the gluten-free bun and because I asked for everything except cheese and bacon on my burger I was also charged for ketchup which interestingly came on the side in a cup as well as on the burger. I mention this because the other person in our party didn’t have any side of ketchup with their meal and they also ordered a plain Build Your Own burger with fries— a real shame that you have to pay $2 extra to have onions and sauce removed from your sandwich.
I had high hopes for this establishment based on all the hype it’s received, but sadly, it appears to be based more on the excitement of the locale and Randy Boyd’s politics rather than real patrons who value quality and consistency in their dining experience.
Amazing food, extremely knowledgeable and accommodating for Gluten Free options. We were passing through and ordered online so it was ready and waiting when we picked it up along with hand written notes about how the sauce may contain trace amounts of gluten. So thoughtful.
Interesting place with good Asian food. The pho soup is good, the sous vide brisket was delicious. They have gluten free options- a plus
The Chinese bbq chicken nuggets was a little too salty.
Staff is friendly.
The tapioca pudding was delicious- not too sweet. The berry puree was great.
Food is very delicious, especially offering gluten-free alternatives! There are tons of options and very informative when you're unsure what to try next! Staff was wonderful and knowledge, which was helpful! Good portions as well! I'm excited for family to try my leftovers since we all love trying some good Foodie spots
An “eclectic eatery” is an accurate description of the Kraken’s Cup. Such a charming destination, with a wide variety of teas, from which to choose. During my most recent visit, I selected a black tea, aptly named Black Arrow, an Earl Gray tea, with fruity notes and hints of vanilla. The tea sandwiches were absolutely delicious, as well as the tea cakes and assorted confections, which were delightful. Each guest receives their own tea pot, cozy, cups and saucers, each beautifully crafted and uniquely delicate.
If you like high tea, you will love this tea room. They even have gluten free options. I highly recommend this hidden gem in found in Fountain City!
I am gluten free our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu items. So it made it easier for me to order safely. I also learned that their rice is safe unlike wgat I had read and online. The corn tortillas are hand made daily so they are also safe. I was so excited to be able to enjoy a meal like i had before I had a gluten sensitivity.
Really enjoyable steakhouse here in the Knoxville area. Offers a lot of different entrees, appetizers, unique proteins, and hardy sides. Healthy list of wines, spirits, and unique mixed cocktails.
They are able to accommodate allergies, with a knowledgeable staff that can help you navigate the menu. One of our favorite dishes was the Wagyu.
They are specifically able to accommodate gluten allergies and cross contamination concerns.
Their menu listed items as gluten free, however they informed us as we ordered that the "gluten free street tacos" have corn that is not gluten free. We asked if the corn could be left off, they said they did not like to modify any of their menu items. The corn was not removable.
We then ordered chips and dip, asked if they were gluten free and our server said yes and left to put our order in.
We looked at the menu again and saw corn listed, so we asked again. They informed us that the chip corn was gluten free even if the taco corn was not.
Then after the rest of our table received their food, they then told us the chips and dip was *not* gluten free cause the dip roux has flour in it. So two of the menu items that were listed gluten free, were absolutely not gluten free. Upon hearing that, we decided to play it safe and not eat the fries anymore after they had assured me those were gluten free. Just couldn't trust the level of gluten free anymore.
The owner came over and while they were very nice, they explained that some kitchen staff are not as educated much about allergies yet, and that they were in a "transition" stage where some gluten free items still contain gluten and flour. If this is the case, then the menu needs to accurately represent this. The menu should *not* say gluten free until the transition period is over and the foods do not have gluten.
I understand cross contamination possibilities, and I understand shared kitchens can cause contamination. However food containing gluten in the regular recipe should not be labeled gluten free at all.
My husband and I made reservations ahead of time and were welcomed and seated right away with a smile. Our server gave her recommendations right away and was very knowledgeable of the menu. I have a gluten free allergy and she recommended the salmon with potatoes to me and it was the best salmon I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Sourdough Pizza and the pizza was loaded with toppings and had a nice crunch to it. My husband ordered hot honey ranch on the side and that sauce elevated his dinner even further. We both highly recommend The Kennedy for a nice night out.
