My kids took me to Hat Creek in Richardson today for Father's Day. It was amazing! I loved everything about it, especially the seasoned hamburger patties and the fries. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. My daughter was just diagnosed with celiac so her options for eating out has become quite limited. All the sides are gluten free, and delicious. The seasoned fries are next level! Their ability to provide such amazing food while accommodating special dietary needs is remarkable. We will definately be back. Thank you, Hat Creek!
Ordered a gluten free pizza, they gave me a regular crust. Glad it wasn’t a severe allergy issue. They also disregarded specifics in the order all together including dressing, removing items from salad, and forgot a salad in the order all together. They did remake the pizza, and offered a refund, which was kind, however, the manager was the one to take the order so there needs to be more training.
I ordered the Gluten Free Chillerno Burger with Skinny Fries. I made my own Arnold Palmer drink with their lemonade and iced tea. The burger was delicious and the gf bun used was the best I have ever had. The burger was cooked exactly as I requested. It was flavorful and professionally plated. The prices were reasonable and the quality of the food cannot be beat. I highly recommend this location for people with gf issues or not.
This place is amazing! Every item on the buffet is absolute perfection. The display of foods consistently looks fresh and clean as if just offered for you! All items are clearly labeled if vegan or gluten free. Everything is so fresh and delicious. This is arguably the best middle eastern restaurant in DFW. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Don’t miss the dessert case on the way out…the baklava is legendary 🥰
My only complaint here is the beautiful floor is SOOOO slick that its dangerous. Scary to carry a tray from the buffet to table while navigating a hazardous floor!

Burger was incredible. I got the Olive Cheeseburger. And Lenny is top notch, super professional, very helpful, and very friendly.
If you haven't been here in a few years, you need to go. They have really upped their game. The quality of the food is excellent. Special points for not charging extra for gluten free toast!
Every pizza I have tried has been good. I especially appreciate the gluten free crust which is crispy and light. The staff is nice, prices are reasonable and the ingredients are good quality. The Forager is my fav! Highly recommend.
We discovered this restaurant in early May, 2025. We went because of the gluten-free substitutions. We went twice in one week. The first gentleman that waited on us was amazing. We ordered one gluten-free pizza and one regular pizza. They were both very delicious. The chopped salad was amazing and to my surprise, the pistachio cake was phenomenal!! Very light and tasty. My manager got the dark chocolate and espresso dessert and at first she was skeptical about the dark chocolate ice cream/gelato but after that she's convinced it should never be served with vanilla. The second time I went with my step-daughter after a golf lesson. We got pizzas, the Fritto Misto (the best I've ever had!), and the copped salad. But the female waiter said she really couldn't have us order the pistachio cake and take it with us. We were too full to eat it there. That was a huge disappointment. I get it that it's better fresh, but it would have tasted the same even if it had fallen. Overall, I will definitely go again when I'm in town.
Server was rude and acted like I was crazy for asking about certain items on the menu being gluten free. Corn tortillas had wheat flour in them apparently. Both manager and server seemed to know absolutely nothing about the allergens in their food. The manager himself actually had to look at their own online menu to even give me examples of what I could get, which was essentially just bread/toast/sandwiches. Cross contamination was also a huge issue, never specified any gluten free prep area in the kitchen and other than the bread I was refused any accommodations. Never coming back, staff seems incompetent and the range of gluten free items isn’t nearly big enough.
This is the one Italian eatery that our whole family can eat at. Their gluten free, and cauliflower pizza are delicious! For those of us that can eat regular pizza it is definitely delicious.
Had the most amazing experience here! I’m gluten free and without hesitation, I was accommodated. The food was incredible and I loved the holiday tea. Being gluten free can oftentimes feel isolating when restaurants don’t have many options, but this place made me feel so included and cared for. Will be back!
The staff was very friendly. They have an outdoor patio for cool evenings. My food was good. They have homemade cocktails and whiskey flights at the bar. There were gluten free options on the menu.
You can't go wrong with any Alamo Drafthouse, anywhere. Superb service, great menu (Vegan and gluten free options), and the pre-movie entertainment is like no other.
Food was good and service was fantastic. We sat at the bar and it was very comfortable. The inside is intimate but didn’t get as loud as I would have expected. The patio is fabulous and I can’t wait to go back when the weather is better.
My friend has a gluten allergy and I was super impressed by how the bartenders took care of us. We had apps at the bar, but then I got 2 meals to go. When my to go order was brought out, the 2nd bartender said she noticed on our ticket that there was a gluten allergy and she wanted to make sure we knew the to go meals were not gluten free. I appreciated her attention to detail and concern for our health.
P.S. Order the deviled eggs!
Took the family to Shady's tonight. Not the first time and not the last time, but possibly the first time that I have reviewed the experience...and tonight I am compelled because of our server (more on that later). This is a good review. Our most recent visit was on a Monday night at about 6pm. As expected, the restaurant was fairly busy, but not so much so that we couldn't just walk in and grab an outdoor shaded table with views of the Olympics and MLB on TV. The atmosphere was just as you would expect...welcoming and warm and clean. The drinks, starters, and burgers were as dependable and tasty as usual. The big deal tonight was our server. First of all, he was about 7 feet in height. We very quickly moved past that because he was right on top of server duties. To be quick - he brought us waters, took our drink order, came back and took care of starters and dinner orders. He was extra attentive without being weird or intrusive. Totally great in accommodating a couple of special orderings on our part. However, the icing on the cake, was that late in the meal, we ordered an extra meal for my Celiac daughter who was joining toward the end of our dinner experience. We ordered a burger on a gluten free bun and fries...he was very quick to let us know that the fries would be cooked in a fryer that did not discriminate between gluten and gluten free. He went so far as to let us know that the fries could be a concern for people with Celiac. He might be the very first server, at any restaurant around the country, that we have encountered in the past twelve years who connected gluten free with Celiac! He was very considerate and even presented the to go meal in separate bags so as to not cross contaminate the gluten free burger with the fries. I can't say enough how about how appreciative we were to have a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and generous server. Go check out Shady's if you are in Canyon Creek.
Mediocre location. Probably won’t ever come here again. The cashier was so quiet and mumbled so much I couldn’t understand him… no gluten free buns, no milkshakes, no tap pay… and the employees were just standing around talking as I waited for my order. Zero sense of urgency.
Cafe Amore is an all around enjoyable dining experience. Friends and I enjoy the BYOB aspect.
The food is great. The prices are so reasonable. I appreciate the fact they also offer vegetarian dishes and gluten free pasta which is my preference. The Cappuccino pie is amazing. Shout out to Jessica - you are AWESOME!!😁
Our first time here and my oat milk chai latte and my husband's Turkish coffee were delicious. The owner and his young daughters made us feel welcome! I was happy to see some gluten-free food items and will try them next time.
Food was horrible. Their gluten free menu is very limited. I would not really call this restaurant gluten free for celiacs . I will not return. Very expensive.

Red Hot - Indo Chinese & Indian Kitchen
744 Central Expy Suite #230, Richardson, TX 75080, USA
What??? Mind blowing doesn't begin to describe this Indo-Chinese restaurant!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE INDIAN FOOD! When I'm feeling blue, nothing picks me up like prayer, Indian food, and a young adult comedy/love story movie(don't judge me). Red Hot Indo-Chinese and Indian Food right off 75 north in Richardson fits the bill!
This place delivers BIG on service, ambiance, and flavor. Everything is served family style, and whatever you are in the mood for; be it chinese, indian food, or a mash up, you will find it here. Hot & Sour soup, fried rice, triple szechwan noodles, chicken tikka, the list goes on and on!
My Kanna and I ordered cheese naan(which I didn't know was a thing). It was buttery with a sharp cheddar cheese worked into the layers(ya'll know I'm gluten-free, but the bread had me risking it all)! Buhari Chicken, which is the original chicken 65 (and was listed as an appetizer and was nothing of the sort), was spiced to the hilt! Reddish, tenderals of lushly spiced chicken almost made me hurt myself! Accompanied by fluffy basmati rice. The Thai Basil Chicken was a mound of chicken stir-fried with basil, bell peppers, onions, and red/green chiles. It was mind-boggling! Back doored with a tiger, tiger, mocktail of mango and pineapple nectar, grenadine, and lime juice. It was refreshing and addictive. We ended up splitting everything and still had food to take home! It took everything in me not to order rice pudding for the road ( but that would just be greedy).
All in all, Red Hot was absolute bliss. I can't wait to go back.
Check It Out!

This place was so good! I'm new to Ethiopian food and the owner(?) was extremely helpful in helping us decide what to get and understand the menu. Portions are BIG and she even gave us extra of the things we really enjoyed. I am gluten free (preference) and stupidly didn't ask what was gluten free or not and didn't realize that most injera is made with gluten and not fully teff, so she offered rice instead! She was so very nice and seemed knowledgeable on ingredients and preparation so I would definitely trust going back and being able to eat fully gf. Def recommend!
