Fantastic experience here on all fronts: service, food, and atmosphere. The people who run the place were exceedingly friendly and went above and beyond taking care of customers. The design is modern but with little details in the decor give the place an authentic homely feeling. The backstory behind this cafe is so interesting - apparently the space has been in the family for three generations (you can read about them on their website).
The menu features modern HK comfort food and is all gluten-free! I was there around 2 pm on Saturday and many of the baked goods were sold out, but luckily they still had what I wanted. I tried their corn pot pie, a ginger milk burnt sugar cookie, and an iced HK milk tea. The corn pot pie was creamy but not heavy, topped with a pastry that was the perfect sweet spot between crisp and soft. Very comforting. The cookie was phenomenal!! At first bite, the taste of fresh ginger was VERY strong and the burnt sugar added depth to the flavour without making it too sweet at all. The texture was also amazing, soft and chewy, and I loved the thick edges. As expected, the HK milk tea was also excellent, strong and smooth. The tall and full glass was much appreciated because I didn't want it to end. Dipping the cookie in the milk tea was heavenly.
I can't overstate how much I enjoyed my visit here. You can really tell how much love has gone into this cafe.
In heaven. Most items are or can be made safe for celiac. Had the Yum Bowl…sooooo good. The best part though? GLUTEN FREE ONION RINGS. They were just incredible. If you’re able, come down and chow down. It’s definitely worth it.

Came here for our anniversary dinner, as a celiac I usually avoid eating out Italian as the pasta substitute js subpar, that was not the case here. The best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had and most appies and all deserts were gluten free. My gluten eating husband also said it was the best pasta he’s ever had. Was nice to have a desert option that was not a flourless chocolate cake, highly recommend the olive oil cake! The service was really good and they were very knowledgeable about celiac. Would highly recommend!
This was the second time I've had their pizza! The cashew cheese is sooo good! All crusts are wheat free, and they have separate oven and fryer for celiac. The cashew blue cheese dip was the perfect pairing. One thing I wanted to add is the last time I had the BEST vegan ice cream flavor I've ever had. Lavender and butterfly pea! Please do that again!
Service and atmosphere are great but food is beyond mid and overpriced considering the lack of real flavour, definitely not the most enjoyable sushi, iki is miles better for gluten free folks. But this place was alright.
My travel partner and I each had a gluten-free free lamborghini with salad. Fresh ingredients, meat had nice seasonings, and a good flat bread (gf "bun"). They earn a double tasty and a recommendation to all GF eaters out there. Already planning a return visit when back in Vancouver in a few weeks.
The menu is SO CLEARLY LABELED! I can’t have gluten or dairy and I had the most fabulous dinner! The cider was also lovely. Kind staff that take allergies very seriously
Couldn’t recommend this place more. Staff were honestly amazing. Modified the menu for celiac and honestly was so so tasty. Hats off to the chefs! Special thanks to Kat, Paige and Darren. They were so welcoming and nice, one of best experiences we’ve had to date in Vancouver. Thank you all 🎉

So busy. Even when we went in winter. But the food is banging. Able to work with my gluten free and dairy free diet. Still thinking about that Mediterranean bowl. One of the best meals of my life tbh.
As a celiac, it's very hard to find places to trust. Practically this entire place was gluten free! Killed Mexican with a creative twist. Loved it - highly recommend!

Tiffany was super nice and attentive. Food tasted so nice, the gluten free burger buns stayed together and the farmers market salad was delicious.
Second time we’ve been and it’s 5 ⭐️ again
Y'all!!
I've been getting delivery for a while from here, but finally went in to eat the other day.
The staff were all friendly.
I would've given 5 stars to the delivery quality alone, but would give 6 stars for the fresh stuff.
The machetes are phenomenal. ¡Perfecto!
And the yuca fries... *Drools
As a celiac, it's nice that most things are gluten free, and as I've never felt sick from eating here, it's one of my safe go-to restaurants.
If you're in the area, I would 100% recommend this place, especially if you eat gluten-free (or even have dairy restrictions too, they can take care of you).
This place is a hidden gem. A women owned business which serves delicious vegan options. Restaurant does not have huge seating space but can accommodate a group of 6-8.
We tried Bombay Bad Boy pizza and were surprised with flavor. I will highly recommend trying "Almond Cassava" crust; it is gluten free but not too hard or crispy.
Definitely worth visiting if you are vegan/vegetarian food lover or, interested in trying vegan food.
Server was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. I got a gluten free pizza that was pretty terrible, probably the worst one I've gotten in a restaurant actually- the crust was thin and chewy, not in a good way; it was like a frozen pizza. The ceaser salad had polenta croutons that were good but there was only like 4 of them total. I felt safe as a celiac and there was lots of GF stuff on the menu to try, but definitely avoid the pizza. (If you want good GF pizza in the area go across the street to Per Se, it's the best I've ever had!) I would come back to try the other options though.
If this is your first time visiting Vancouver, Miku would be my top recommendations on your itinerary list for places to eat. Now, this isn't your typical sushi restaurant, in fact, I would consider this to be fine dining and here's why.
When it comes to Japanese food, presentation is the most important next to customer service level, and they are bang on. I absolutely love how intricate their sushi layered to simplicity on a plate. Reminds me of a zen garden. The waiters/ waitress' are knowledgeable of their dishes being served and super friendly! Dishes are, at minimum $20, but the portions are decently sized. (Anything with Wagyu will always be expensive).
They do offer gluten -free and vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic drinks.
(I had their Shiso Nojito and it was the most refreshing non-alcoholic I've ever had. Not too sweet either).
Overall, I would highly recommend it for first time travellers to Vancouver. It's absolutely a beautiful place to dine in!
Came there to have the gluten free pizza and when I went to order (8:30) they were all out. Not sure what they can really do but it was sad as a celiac who came from out of town for the pizza (not many alternative options either)
Hubby and I (from Australia) began our Canadian holiday with a New Year's dinner at Cardero's. Although jet lagged as we had arrived that morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It was made extra special by our friendly and professional server, Katy. The food was incredible. We had the prawn cocktail and BBQ ribs as appetisers, and both were divine. We then had the signature salmon and beef tenderloin for mains and finished with the most silky and creamy peanut butter cheesecake. It was also decorated with happy anniversary for our 10th wedding anni. Katy helped me with matching wines, and this was much appreciated. We tried ice wine for the first time, and we're addicted. Menu is incredibly gluten friendly. What a delectable dinner to start our Canadian food adventures!

I love the food and vibe here. As a Celiac, I always order their Trifecta Rice Plate and have always been asked if I'm Celiac or have a gluten allergy, which is reassuring.
My non-Celiac partner usually gets their banh mi and he loves them.
Pretty good portion on the dosas if you get their Dosa of the day. I like the lamb on Tuesdays. Pretty fast at in-between times (non-dinner time) when they are quite empty. The dosa is probably gluten-friendly but you might want to ask if other ingredients inside it are gluten-friendly too.
Our server was amazing and food was to die for - gluten free or not, best pasta and selection in the area! Would HIGHLY recommend :-) Thank you Trevor for hooking us up!
Tom was amazing. I have celiac disease and he answered all my questions, advised me what to avoid and double checked with the chef to make sure every thing was safe. Felt very comfortable eating here, will definitely go back. Great service and great food
That is a very nice place, with a lot of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. I got the drink on the house and it was delicious and refreshing lemonade. Didn’t get the chance to ask a servers name, but he was delightful and very friendly. The food was well seasoned and really tasty. I also asked about the weight of lamb to count the proteins and they provided that to me. I would rate it 6 stars if I could.
I chose the Pour house based on reviews and a widely advertised gluten free menu. There is indeed a gluten free fryer however other allergies were not well managed. We discussed extensively with the team what was available and were offered chips and a green salad. As we were attending a show nearby we took the option believing it to be relatively safe. We were disappointed at the lack of effort to accommodate or make any suggestions of suitable items. I had a reaction shortly after dinner. I would not recommend this venue to anyone with a serious allergy
kiona was our server on a date night and we have nothing but amazing things to say about her!! She was sooooo accommodating to our gluten allergy and just all around a friendly, positive, and helpful person. I would come back JUST to have Kiona as my server.
This was one of the best places we’ve ever been to! The food was incredible, the process of grilling our food was easy and the waitress was very helpful, the gluten free variety was huge and the service was top tier! Had no issues at all and although we ate a lot, the prices weren’t unfair at all. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks for everything!
Best brunch in Van imo. Place is so nice, the staff inviting, the food excellent. Big portions and everything was tasty. They have a fantastic gluten free bread, which is always a plus. Totally recommend!

I’ve always loved coming here. Today was probably my 6th-8th visit, and I can say with confidence that Hello Nori is very consistent. The yellowtail hand roll with Shiso leaf added is my favourite. The by the glass sake options are great and they all pair well with the rolls. Lisa was my server today and she was excellent. She checked in lots and made sure that the chef was aware of my gluten intolerance. Gold star for Hello Nori, I will be back!
Great place for those with celiac disease or a gluten allergy. I received GF bread and many of the dishes are or can be made GF. They have GF appetizers, pasta, risotto and GF dessert. The service was great.
Had the BLT bagel it was stacked with bacon and great value, DELICIOUS! Loved the mayo/sauces and guac it had on it! Espresso drinks have minimal sweetness which is nice. Quite impressed with the food and drink I enjoyed here today. Also loved the gluten free options. The service was wonderful. Looking forward to summer mornings on the patio with my dogs. Will definitely be back again and again!
Loved our experience at Minami - we had a bunch of dietary restrictions and were celebrating our wedding which they thoughtfully provided us with a surprise dairy free/ gluten free dessert 🙏🏼 service was excellent, we loved the aburis, brussel sprouts (try it!) and how fresh the sashimi was!
Excellent restaurant! The only downside is the wait time (about 1 hour) as it is walk-in only and you cannot call to place your name on the waitlist over the phone. Nonetheless, great food and servers. We really appreciated how knowledgeable about they are about gluten allergies. We strongly recommend getting the fresh wasabi (3 dollars extra).
Good place! Has gluten free options. Bread was quite dry. I got the express burrata and the eggplant Parmesan with gluten free penne. Waitress made sure to check with chef and made good suggestions.

Our turbulent first night in Vancouver with hotel issues was saved by the Cactus Club Cafe. We missed our booking due to the issues, but we were helped by great staff who told us we could sit at the bar to eat. The bartenders were amazing, the drinks excellent and the food was amazing with great options for vegan and gluten free. Highly recommended.
My wife and I along with our kiddos (12, 10, 8) were exceptionally pleased with our time at Red Robins at 803 Thurlow Street. While parking was (to be honest) a little involvement (and expensive!) I cannot sing the praises of our server (Chris) enough. One of my kids has Celiac and we had no issues (that same kid also had over FIFTEEN helpings of the oranges, haha). My other tikes also enjoyed several helpings of the bottomless Mac and Cheese. Not to belabor things but Chris was a true model of servanthood. We could not have asked for more :-)
