Fantastic!! My GF husband doesn’t really like fried food so he ordered the grilled Haddock and Hobson’s Special Salad and was extremely pleased. My daughter and I are not GF so we ordered the original fried fish. The single order of chips is enough for 2 and we also ordered the (must-have) mushy peas and green bean sides which also happen to be GF. This is a home styleChinese restaurant. Service was outstanding and the staff were very attentive and kept asking us if everything was ok. There is a separate gluten-free menu and the choice is reasonable. The main menu is not extensive but covers the usual dishes.
I was slightly disappointed in the quality. The gluten free lemon chicken was lacking in sufficient lemon taste but the chicken breast was great. The non coeliac meat dish was very tasty yet overpowered by the use of too much starch in the sauce. Spring rolls were did not contain enough filling. The oil in which they were fried was perhaps not hot enough. The hot and sour soup contained chicken and shrimps and was tasty, although the thickening starch was a bit too much.
Overall, excellent service and great for coeliacs who very rarely get the chance to eat Chinese food. Highly recommended.

Many of our guests didn't even realise they were gluten-free, and for our coeliac friend who'd never had a cupcake before, it was a revelation. Make reservations well in advance! This location was near the London Palladium where we were seeing a show. It is very important to note that Dishoom is very serious about allergens, but not all locations have the same dishes. The Carnaby location is a bit limited on its GF entree choices. Because of my husband’s many preferences plus GF needs, he felt his only choice was the Mutton Pepper Fry, which ended up being tender and delicious. There were more side and small plates that were GF or could be modified. The Carnaby location is in a bustling pedestrian area that is bustling with bars, pubs, and shopping. Our reservation was early so we had time to walk through Carnaby and into Piccadilly before our show.
Specific note: if you have airborne wheat allergies, the bathrooms are in the basement and you must walk through the naan baking section and flour is abundant. It’s cool to watch unless you’re allergic.

We visited this beautiful restaurant on Sunday the 26th January. We were booked in for dinner and very much looking forward to a roast dinner after a soggy and cold day at the zoo.
Upon arrival we were welcomed into the restaurant by the manager. Upon checking our booking the table was checked and we were shown to our seats.
The restaurant had a lovely friendly and warming atmosphere, the rooms were lovely and warm.
Shortly after sitting down , our drinks order was taken and they arrived shortly after.
I myself am coeliac, I also cannot have dairy or soya . I mentioned this to the waitress , who checked straight away with the chef what they could cook for me to meet my dietary requirements.
To my amazement I could have the roast beef dinner!
There was a great selection on the menu for normal and for gluten free needs. I was very happy with the choices available to me, even with additional allergies. Also the children’s menu had plenty of options, we took 3 children with us.
The food arrived in good time and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing! The beef was cooked to perfection and the dinner was to a very high standard.
The children’s meals were good size portions and the kids loved them.
We enjoyed the food so much that we had puddings also. Yes they even had a pudding that was gluten, dairy and soya free! I had a sticky toffee sponge with dairy free ice cream. It was amazing, I don’t usual go out for a meal where I can be catered for especially for pudding as well.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our meal out and will definitely be dining again. It was faultless and the staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Thank you for being an inclusive restaurant and making our Sunday lunch an enjoyable one.

We had a fantastic experience here, truly cannot fault it. We were looking for a quick pre theatre light dinner with gluten free options, and this was perfect.
Between two, we had a selection of 4 gf dumpling flavours, cucumber salad, and noodles. Our server asked how hungry we were in order to recommend the right amount of food. She also highlighted that we would want to save room for dessert, and she was right!
We had the dessert platter, which was incredible. If you are only choosing one, go for the apple pie. It was such a surprise treat! As it was happy hour, we also ordered two espresso martinis, which were also lovely.
Service was quick and courteous. We were accidentally given one wrong flavour of dumpling, but it was swiftly replaced without fuss.
The dumpling decorating was, of course, the cherry on the cake.

I have been trying to find a decent gluten free cake for ages, and not only did I get the best slice of cake I have ever had, but even got some brownies & cookies for other snacks. Even better, I was able to get a loaf of bread for my sandwiches which doesn’t disintegrate the moment I put it in the toaster or fall apart when I’m eating it.
