Amazing! Service was terrific and food was absolutely delicious! Celiac friendly- extremely aware and the price was surprisingly very reasonable for the amount of food!! AAA+++
This place is so special. I love that there are gluten free options in addition to regular. Something for everyone! Each time we try new things, and we're never disappointed! So yummy!!!
Absolutely delicious. It’s a pretty and rustic atmosphere with low lighting with certain bright areas. Pretty plants and rustic decor.
The gluten free food options are delicious and there are soooo many choices.
We were the last customers they had. They didn't rush us. They even gave us a couple of pancakes for free. Very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and they have gluten-free options.
So many mixed feelings about Scandi.
There was a point in time where I was a regular at Scandi - going 2/3 time a week, every week.
The atmosphere is stunning and the aesthetic is beautiful - if you’re just looking for vibes or the Instagram photos or a cute Zoom background, then you’ll love it.
For service, I have really only ever had one bad experience with a barista and candidly, they apologized to me the next time I came in and said they were truly just having a bad day.
For food, there’s limited options outside of carbs and treats - I believe only 2 gluten free options and nothing with protein.
The reason I’m giving them a lower score with service is truly based on my experiences when the owner is present and when she isn’t.
On multiple occasions, I’ve felt uncomfortable or judged in my personal interactions with her. While I understand cultural differences or misunderstandings, I’ve felt everything from a loaded comment to my son, passive aggressive comments about my service dog, dismissive tones in conversation, etc.
However, I’ve also felt that the entire atmosphere of the space changes when she’s there. She’s not afraid to reprimand staff in front of customers, the music often becomes religious (which is fine for some spaces), but everyone tenses when she’s around.
From my understanding, she comes in on a daily basis and I was truly uncomfortable to the point that I found a new coffee shop to go to on a regular basis.
Went here for engagement dinner and it was incredible! My fiancé has celiac disease and is very allergic to Gluten and she had absolutely no issues with eating here. Our waiter Jermey was fantastic!
Pretty good BBQ. I had the BBQ Pork, Brisket, Baked Chicken, Green Beans, and Brunswick Stew. I had the lemonade which was good. I am gluten free so I'm glad I was able to have a choice in what I ate. Decent prices and decent serving size.
We stopped here for coffee and a light breakfast and it was absolutely charming. The staff was welcoming and we loved the unique coffee options. Each of us got the avocado toast, but two of us got the gluten-free bread and it was all delicious. I appreciated that they slightly mashed up the avocado on the toast so it didn’t slide all around!
The food was great, and the atmosphere was delightful. However, it was chilly inside, so we opted for the more comfortable outdoor seating. The waitresses seemed rushed and strained to be polite. They would quickly check if we needed anything but then hurry off right away. They offered a Gluten Free menu which was nice.
Brought my dad here for his birthday. Not my normal haunt and we didnt have reservations (eek). The hostess, Anna, was so kind and sat us in the bar area! (Thank you for helping me avoid a crisis Anna!) My dad had the filet and I had the seabass and mushrooms. The food was great! On top of that, our server, James, was knowledgable and welcoming. I have celiac disease and it's really difficult to dine out. Being service industry myself, and having "eating stipulations," I could not be more thankful to be able to eat GREAT FOOD ... ***SAFELY!*** with knowledgeable and empathetic service! 10/10 all the way around. This may be the new birthday spot to treat everyone I love! Thank yall so very much!
Saw this place mentioned on tv food show but turned out to be disappointing. Confusion about correct menus, dishes being served, and ingredients for dietary restrictions made it nearly impossible to cobble together a meal in a timely manner for a vegetarian w/gluten sensitivity. Should not have been that difficult in today’s restaurant climate. Coupled with hectic environment and frazzled wait staff made for a lackluster lunch. Management sent over dessert which was very nice but unfortunately don’t plan on returning. Far too many other choices.
Our server was amazing, we explained we were celiac gluten-free. When the kitchen mistakenly put one of the items on toast, she had them remake the meal and let the manager know. The manager came over and apologized and adjusted the bill. The food was cooked perfectly and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I love Chick-fil-A. And they have gluten free options, and a separate frier for their waffle fries, which means safe fries for us celiacics! Also they're just always so friendly and accommodating. 10/10 even though I can only rate 5 stars.
