Update: been here a few times since the first review and unfortunately haven't had the same service. Today nobody was up front. We stood there for about 10mins and then I walked around asking for help, then a girl named Lyla came up straight faced, didn't say a thing. So I said "do we sit ourselves" she grabbed menus and just walked off. Our server, Jaya didn't know any options for gluten-free, non attentive and not a great server overall. Stinks that the staff does really matter on the experience you have and today was a let down. Bummed!
One of things that I feel a lot of restaurants miss the mark on is the hostess/host being friendly but not here! We walked in and was met by Brooke who had a smile on her face, was friendly and knew a lot about the menu! Then our server, Mikeal came over to our table and explained the menu and the options they had for gluten-free (which is a ton!!). The pizza came out quick, hot ... and SO delicious!!! I also have to mention they have crushed ice. Yummmm
Love Chop Shop and the best part is my kids do to! It’s always a challenge to find something we all like. I love their bowls, salads and gluten free wraps. As a person with food allergies they make it easy to eat out. The staff here is great too!
Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers – 7th Ave Location
If you have food allergies, do NOT eat here. I called this location to ask about allergen info before dining, and not only did the staff have no answers—they didn’t even know what an allergen warning was. That’s not just unprofessional, that’s dangerous. Food allergies can be life-threatening, and for a restaurant to be this clueless in 2025 is mind-blowing.
What makes it worse is that this isn’t just a one-off issue. I checked their entire website and there is no proper allergen breakdown, no ingredient guide, and no downloadable allergen menu. Just a vague “gluten-friendly” mention and nothing else. That’s unacceptable for a chain this size.
This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It feels like they either don’t care or are trying to avoid liability by not publishing allergen info. Either way, it’s a total fail in food safety and should absolutely be investigated.
If you or someone you love has allergies, steer clear. It’s not worth the risk. I’m reporting them to the health department because someone could die from this level
This place is absolutely amazing! The service is outstanding! They went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best gluten free experience ever! Oh how I wish we had one of these in North Carolina!
I booked a reservation for 3, to celebrate my spouses birthday with our teenage son. We had a fantastic time. I put in the notes when booking that I have celiac and must eat gluten free, and that we were celebrating a bday. They had hand written card for my spouse upon arrival. The food was delicious, our server was knowledgeable and attentive and he even brought a bday champagne toast and a bday dessert. It was a lovely time. The ambiance was nice , they validate parking in the esplanade garage. Fabulous time. And we all cleared our plates. Thank you Flint for making his bday special.
Server seemed knowledgeable about celiac, but was slightly rude about it when I asked my questions to confirm safety. Also, the ordering process didn’t completely put my mind at ease. However, after receiving the steak fajitas (made with tamari, soy is mentioned on the menu), I enjoyed the meal and had no issues afterwards. The chips are fried in a solely gluten free fryer. But, I didn’t end up having those. Would recommend if you want some Mexican food.
Excellent food and service, with several gluten free options. Items not marked gluten free may be modified to be safe. I had the glow bowl with chicken, which is made with sweet potato noodles, shiitake mushrooms, snap peas, green onion, and a sunflower seed sauce.
This place is hardcore vegan. I appreciate going somewhere where I don’t have to question the menu. Very clearly labeled for allergens like soy and gluten as well.
I went there during happy hour which does have discounted pricing on some of their drinks and food. I was pleasantly surprised that they do have Gluten-Free hamburgers buns. I ordered the El Diablo Burger and it as ao delicious!! You could taste the poblano peppers and just enough of a spicy kick. I'm already looking forward to the next time I go there, I'm inclined to have the same burger since it was so good but curious if the other birthdays are as good. The only thing is that I wish it came with fries or some kind of a side, but you have to order that separately. I said at that bar and the ambiance was good.
We’ve been to Gertrude’s twice now and can say the food is delicious! Their menu has so many options for gluten free which I love. The donuts are fantastic and actually what really brought me back a second time! I ordered the braised boar and it was amazing and my husband ordered the elk chop which was equally amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful since it’s at the botanical gardens, so you get a little glimpse of some that. Service was similar both times, not the best but definitely not the worst, just average.
I love enjoying the outdoor space here. The food is always incredible! And when it’s warmer outside I usually enjoy sitting inside, there’s not as much space indoor but I always seem to find a seat. The lemonade is so tasty and every gluten free dessert I’ve tried has been delicious too.
A good place - good service, good environment and good gluten free pizza. The truth is that the pizza, which I ate in total, could’ve been sooo much better. It was flaccid and limp pizza like many things in life are no fun and in this case sub-optimal. It was 1-2 mins from being made to perfection, where the crust stands straight and proud. The entire experience fell short of the finish line.
my wife and I love this place. it was our first stop off the plane and it was so good we came back again. tons of gluten free options for my celiac wife and food was amazing.
Vecina - A Gluten-Free Gem with Layered Flavors and Classy Ambiance
After hearing rave reviews about Vecina, I decided to see what all the buzz was about, particularly their renowned salmon tacos. Specifically, I tried the *Faroe Island Salmon Tacos* with Yuzu Kosho Aioli, Seasonal Citrus, Toasted Peanut, and Corn Tortilla. The combination of flavors was nothing short of spectacular, with the rich and fresh taste of the salmon perfectly complemented by the bright citrus and subtle heat from the Yuzu Kosho Aioli. The texture of the toasted peanut added a delightful crunch that made every bite interesting.
In addition to the tacos, I also tried the *Karaage*, which, despite the menu not explicitly stating it, is a Japanese-style fried chicken. As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, finding fried chicken that I can enjoy is a rare treat, making this dish an absolute delight. It was crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside, with a balanced flavor that had just the right amount of seasoning without being overwhelming.
What truly sets Vecina apart is its impressive gluten-free menu. As someone who appreciates gluten-free options, I was thrilled to see such a wide array of dishes to choose from without compromising on flavor or quality. The thoughtfulness in crafting these dishes is evident, and the result is food that is not only accommodating but also incredibly flavorful and satisfying.
Beyond the food, the ambiance of Vecina adds to the overall experience. The restaurant has a classy and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a nice dinner out. Whether you’re gluten-free or just a lover of good food, Vecina is definitely worth a visit.
I love eat up. Big family dinners to go, good lunch, loaded baked potatoes and lemonade. I appreciate all the gluten free options and the mixed fries are unbeatable.
It's a little extra overpriced, but the quality is good. Twelve dollars for a pound of salad is a little ridiculous. But I guess that's why the salad sits there all day and night with a few selecting it. The soups are a little overpriced as well, but they do taste good. And there are gluten free, as well as vegan options. If you have amazon prime, it does take a discount off which in most cases brings it down a little bit to regular grocery store prices. It's kind of creepy that they have the hand scan to check your groceries out. But there are options such as paying in cash and card too. At least at this point in existence. In the future, they might remove the other options to promote people getting chips inside of themselves.
First time having Cupbop. The Korean beef is SO GOOD. I like the amount of options they have, including gluten free. Staff was also extremely friendly when I walked in to get my online order.
Chris Paul at the butcher was super helpful assisting us with what we should throw on the grill. He looked up the ingredients for the marinated meats because i am celiac. Super friendly. Thanks Chris Paul!

I have a gluten allergy so it’s hard for me to eat out most of the time. I love that i came here and they were very accommodating and have gluten free options. The little blonde manager, Drew, was so kind and well informed on gluten friendly eating and personally made sure no cross contamination happened with my food. She made the ordering process so much easier for me. The service here is phenomenal and my food was delicious. Will be returning!
A little bit of a wait for the food but worth it. The food was very good, I'll definitely be back there. I love that they had gluten free toast available!
We had a great time. Service was fantastic. The wine list is extensive and unexpected with something for everyone. Some notable foods tonight included the mussels, the truffles (cacio e pepe), the Bolognese, and the gluten free, vegan trifle. The kitchen and service staff here understand and respect food sensitivities. Would highly recommend.
Best restaurant in Arizona hands down. I've been to many restaurants and ive never had an experience like this before. Food is cooked to perfection. Everything you order from the menu has bold flavor compared to many other restaurants they water down their food. The Bone Broth they used for the soups is outta the mind, you can taste how clean it is. The chef uses high end clean meats. From clean water to clean oil the food is fantastic and organic. Everything comes out fresh. The food here could be made Gluten free, Vegetarian, Presbyterian, and Vegan. This place have many great health benefits they will naturally cure your problems.
The gluten free chicken enchilada was amazing. The white sauce is the best I have had in Arizona. It reminds me of Mexican food served in Missouri. Plus the diet pepsi was oddly fantastic.
Stake 44 is a fine dining gem that nails the vibe on a Saturday night—classy but far from stuffy, with a lively, fun energy. The filet mignon was a knockout, served sizzling on a hot plate, keeping every bite perfectly warm and bursting with flavor. The gluten-free chocolate bomb dessert? Pure indulgence, a must-try. This place delivers big on food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Our favorite spot; our 'local joint.' Always lively, the food is solid (best gluten free crust in the Valley) and the staff are amazing. Special shout-outs to Elena (Aò!), Mariah and Isa, in no particular order! Make sure to make reservations Friday or Saturday.
🤩 Forgot to take pictures of my amazing corn tortilla pulled pork quesadilla the kitchen made to accommodate my gluten sensitivity. It was delicious, as was the traditional margarita! Loved the art work and laid back vibe. Una más!
Went to the Vig for Saturday brunch and I liked that it was not crowded at all. I sat at the bar with friends. I like that they have gluten-free options. I ordered the Breakfast enchiladas and they were delicious. I plan on going again and ordering that same dish.
Casual atmosphere, not very expensive, but good food and great service. The Mac and Cheese is fantastic (not kids meal)! It is penne pasta with sausage and bacon. The cheese sauce has a smokey flavor and is awesome. My wife said the gluten free pasta wasn't that good but she enjoyed the grey garlic sauce.
I ordered the pho. I was sick, working away from home and craving a brothy Veggie soup. It hit the spot. :) I ordered mine gluten free. When I picked up, the waitress asked me if a fortune cookie was okay. I am grateful for their awareness!
