I was blown away by how friendly and accommodating they were here. My husband, myself and my 4 year old daughter came in and they were immediately very accommodating to our family. I have celiac and they walked through the only 2 items that cannot be prepared gluten-free and then noted it's a dedicated fryer and they take care to keep those few items away from the other prep spaces to avoid cross contamination. They assured me I would be safe eating there which was so incredibly kind.
Now onto the food! We had fried plantains, panuchos and flautas. All very flavorful and fresh. We also ordered the horchata and a margarita which were both great as well. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!
I’m so happy we found a great Philly cheesesteak place!!! We’re definitely going to become regulars. I love that they have a gluten free bun option that can actually hold the sandwich together and not just crumble away like most gluten free breads do. The rocky is really great but the authentic is even better. The vegetarian option is really good too!
I’m really disappointed with my visit today. This store claims to offer gluten-free and, at times, sugar-free options. However, during previous visits, I was told by a friendly staff member that certain items in the display were sugar-free. Today, I asked about the same items, and a different staff member, who was noticeably unfriendly and seemed unwilling to help, told me they were not sugar-free.
This inconsistency is very concerning, especially for people who rely on accurate dietary information due to health reasons. It makes me question whether the gluten-free and vegan labels are truly trustworthy.
If you have food restrictions, be very cautious. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I no longer feel confident about the transparency or accuracy of this shop's claims.
All of the ice cream is gluten free and vegan, as are the waffle cones. They do make some baked goods with gluten but are very knowledgeable on keeping them separate.
The food is amazing and the customer service is just as great! You can definitely tell the food is made with so much love. I've enjoyed several outings here and always leave so satisfied. Gluten free options make for a 10/10 recommendation! Tell a friend to tell a friend.
Siam Country is one of my faves! They have gluten free options, which as a celiac is so appreciated. I honestly order from them once a week, and it’s always fantastic
Why did I wait so long to try this Lawrence Avenue place out???
Phenomenal. Top tier. Made by skilled people from Southern Greece.
Ate the chocolate baklava roll right there which was fairly priced for the high quality and substantial quantity I got. They have cute little counter seats by the window. And then after being offered a sampling of a delicious sweet bread I was absolutely hooked and got a dozen powdered almond cookies for the gathering I was going to. The best cookies of this type that I've ever had. The kind owners even threw in a gluten free almond paste cookie with a raspberry middle for my GF friend (they do have some gluten free and vegan selections). Had a nice conversation with the chill owners and left with my treasures snuggled in a pretty box. The treats were devoured by all at the gathering. Everybody loved it and I mean loved it.
This bakeshop has been in business for 35 years. They deserve our support. I will most definitely be back for more. I especially want to try a spinach and cheese pie next.
Went with my Dad & the place was super cool. Old but fancy Irish bar vibes. They have gluten free options as well. I had a gluten free raspberry cake (was delicious).
My father was enjoying his few Guinness's & had some breakfast (I wish I could have enjoyed a Guinness too). He did say it was a good pour!
We went during the brunch menu and ate in the bar area.
Very good lunch spot! Will definitely be back. Our server was so personable! I had the Rachel C Turkey Sandwich on gluten-free bread (only .50 cent up-charge!) and it was fantastic! I had the potato salad and slaw as my sides and both were great. We also shared the cheese curds and french fries for an app. Cheese curds were great and fries were standard. Sauces seemed homemade and were delicious.
Fresh and flavorful! I’m thankful to have this new spot across the street with delicious gluten free goodies. I got the kissable smoothie, pork empanada, and chicken empanada.
Pork was a little sweet with a mild heat. Chicken was cheesy and a good amount of peppers. Both had a fluffy outside that filled me up. The papaya in the smoothie was so good. I’ll definitely be back!
My friends always order from Yes Thai. However the last few times they have been incredibly rude on the phone. I had items in my meal that were not from the item I had ordered. When my friend called to explain, they could not have been less interested. I have two food allergies so I wanted to ensure there was no cross contamination with nuts and gluten. It then became a screaming match to which my friend remained calm and repeated himself multiple times to express the concern and safety of the meal; they hung up the phone on him as well. Since then I ordered once more in hopes that it was just a misunderstanding. I ordered to my friends house and used my name but his address and they were intentionally rude and dismissive on the phone and chuckled once they saw the address. They forgot to put me on hold and it was clear they were talking about my friend as I heard his name come up. They were unusually late as he lives a bit closer and was also told a much faster travel time (30 mins v 95 mins). I really liked the food but I will not stand by especially because of the lack of customer service and respect.
I have always passed by this place several times but never been in here once until October 20th when I went out with one of my friends. Initially before coming here I had to make sure they had gluten free options because my friend cannot consume gluten. My friend and I were happy that they have gluten free bagels! Definitely the store had a lot of options to choose from. I got the northsider sandwich and my friend got the joni sandwich (with the gluten free bagel). It was super good and honestly my first time having a bagel like this. Also they have the best Nola hazelnut latte ever!! I am a huge fan of hazelnut coffee/lattes and when I tried it here…oh man it was instantly my favorite! Definitely rank #1 for me when it comes to hazelnut lattes. A chill and relax place to eat at and enjoy with friends or family!!
Anna’s might be the best Thai food in Chicago. The dishes are always fresh and perfectly prepared, plus they are very accommodating for vegan/vegetarian options, gluten-free options, and food allergies.
You have no idea how difficult it is to live within walking distance to this place and maintain a diet T___T As an East Coaster, I will always prefer this style of pizza, it's crusty with a generous gluten chew and a little give in the middle for folding in half -- they have lots of creative toppings and the Sicilian slices are incredible. And now they have really tasty round croissants, too. FML
The staff is also always really bubbly and pleasant, despite the constant circus of middle school kids running around after baseball and soccer games like bats out of hell. Probably the most impressive thing for me is, no matter how busy it gets, you will always get your heated slices in-hand in just under 5 minutes. Howwww?
This place is wonderful. Very nice menu and they also had some specials when we went. My gf had Lake Superior whitefish which was on special and it was very good. I had cassoulet and which was delicious. Both were beautifully presented on the plate. Both were prepared gluten free. A number of other items on the menu could be prepared gluten free as well. The wine list was good and we shared creme brûlée for dessert. The wait staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We sat on their beautiful patio which was enough shaded on a hot day. We will definitely be back
FINALLY!!!! A place which cooks everything from scratch. Delicious food. You’ll want to lick the plate. They can accommodate gluten free with no difficulty and are happy to do it. You don’t feel like you’re a bother. The wine selections are first rate as well. Gather is not a large place and it fills quickly, especially if there’s a performance across the street. Come early like we did at 4:30. Or make a reservation to be sure. The atmosphere is a little too dark for my taste, but it can be adjusted if requested. And best of all, for those GF folks, the desserts are awesome. Truly unique. No crème brûlée to be found anywhere. Yay! (So sick of crème brûlée)

It's a wonderful neighborhood grocery store! I appreciate that I can buy a single piece of fruit or vegetable, and don't have to buy produce in bulk or wrapped in plastic. The employees are friendly and the store is clean. I also love that they offer a variety of international products and gluten free pastas and flours as well. I highly recommend!
The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios.
For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!
Very nice, accommodated my friend who had celiac's disease and needed a gluten-free bagel. It was excellent, she said. Thank you for being nice! It's hard to find a place all of us friends can eat together at. We will definitely return!
The food and drinks here are delicious. They have gluten free and vegetarian options. Very cute inside and nice patio. They are attached to the Davis theater.

This place is awesome! The owner Julius Tacadena is the coolest, sweetest, and most kindhearted young gentleman you will ever meet! I tried the Uber Banana Pudding which was a hit! Tho it was not gluten-free as it has mini vanilla wafers, Julius is willing to make it for me gluten-free without the wafers! I My friend and I also tried the Tomato Jam + Egg over rice, and that was really good too! I made a comment to him "You guys are SO accommodating in such a small space" and he said because it's their slogan "Everybody eats". He owns the restaurant with Francis Almeda who also owns Side Practice Coffee right next door to Kanin! And he owns Novel Pizza in Little Village. This grand opening on the very first day was a blasting little Saturday lunch for me and my friend in the neighborhood! I will be coming here 3-5 times a week! Keep it up Julius! You're awesome!!
Amazing Korean comfort food that is also quite healthy. This place is a hidden gem in the Albany Park neighborhood. It appears that everything on the menu is gluten-free and dairy-free. The harmony that runs the place is very sweet!
The food is largely Korean noodle and meat soup. The brisket and flank, sliced beef are really good, but you really explore the flavors when you get tendon, tripe, oxtail, tongue, and thinly sliced spleen. No korean bbq dishes.
Each dish is very lightly salted, so they have sea salt on every table to add to your taste. The noodles are sweet potato noodles, which are semi translucent and wider than pho noodles (vermicelli)or egg noodles.
Everything comes with two different kinds of kimchi, traditional cabbage and diced daikon radish, as well as a bowl of rice. You get your money’s worth!
Highly recommended!
Note: cash only.
