We had a September 2023 wedding at the Publick House and it was absolutely wonderful! Our initial plan was to host the ceremony outside but it was absolutely down-pouring the day of the wedding. Dennis, our day-of coordinator, kept everything on track and prepared us for the likely change of venue to indoors. The food was delicious. My husband has a gluten allergy and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating to his dietary needs. One note about the cake, it was a little difficult to find a design we liked as many of the photos provided of cakes were from weddings hosted well over 8+ years ago and so the designs reflected that style. We eventually found a designed we like with a bit of trial and error. It turned out delicious!

(Note: I write these reviews in part for my own nationwide business clients, for travel and activity inspiration. Follow me for more! I’m a financial planner - CFP®️practitioner - with a focus on retirement wealth strategies, primarily serving business women and LGBTQ individuals. #VirtualPlanningCraftedWithCare®️) This place is darling! It caught my eye because of the Pride flag proudly displayed outside. Thanks for that. You walk in and are greeted by a ton of options of sweet treats and friendly staff. We were served by Katelyn who was attentive and knowledgeable of all the desserts. This was important because I have a gluten allergy. I was so pleased to discover a GF, KETO option. This is hard to find in terms of baked goods not in a freezer section. I was informed that the typically carry 2-3 items on rotation so there’s usually something new on the menu if you visit often. They also have diabetic friendly and vegan items. They have a few places for seating inside and plenty of parking. The prices are appropriate for what you’re getting, especially given the specific ingredients required for specialty baked goods. People of all ages would enjoy this shop. Stop in next time you’re in Sturbridge.

We went in to get some drinks after lunch and it’s a quite cozy area because it gives Café/brewery vibes. I got their golden espresso martini, which is gluten-free and dairy free and it tasted like an actual espresso martini.. We also got a few desserts. I got pistachio and a honey lavender cheesecake. The pistachio was perfect. No need to add any more comments on that but the lavender cheesecake is interesting like perfume if you’re interested that flower flavor. Not my favorite, but interesting concept. The staff was great. They all worked pretty diligently. You can also sit here and do some work by the tables and chill and they also provide coffee.
