We were looking for a breakfast place as we drove up to Duluth early and this place came up with a 4.8 star rating. All I can say is that it deserves that rating. Great service and food. I loved that the menu labeled gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options! The woman serving us was super awesome and between her and other servers they made sure our coffee and water were filled when they got low. It's rare finding places this good, especially on the fly.
BEST experience, all the way around! Brisket was flavorful and DELICIOUS; dipping sauce options were varied, house-made, and tasty; my dietary-delicate husband was able to get a phenomenal burger on a gluten-free bun; sides were unique and mouthwatering (I tried the hush puppies, pecan-topped sweet potatoes, and my husband's fries); and the drinks were excellent - SO MANY bourbon options! We requested to sit on the patio. It was peaceful and the atmosphere was stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I am ever in Duluth again, I'm going back to try the pulled pork.
My only complaint is that it said on the menu that gluten-free buns would not be an additional charge, but they did charge us a few dollars extra for it. I think because we told them not to worry about cross-contamination? Lucky for them, everything else was 6/5 stars.
I have severe celiac and I safely ate delicious food here! My server was kind and knowledgeable. I was told by my partner and brother that the gluten food was also delicious.
Really nice place with lots of alcoves to choose from to get cozy in. Spacious with lots of local decor. The marketplace is a nice addition too where you could find gifts of different types. Good selection of teas and coffees as well as gluten free bakery. The burrito bowl was a good brunch option.
Dedicated fryer for the fries. Chicken wings can also be made gluten free. Gluten free bun available but had to make sure that the bun did not get toasted in the machine where the regular buns go. Very knowledgeable staff and if they don’t know, they make sure to ask before inputting your order. Just make sure that you advocate for yourself and ask about kitchen and prep practices.
Nice place, decent service. Food was greatly lacking. They say their burgers are medium....but they were very well done. Dry to eat... edges were actually crunchy. I got the Garlic Mushroom Swiss burger on a gluten free bun. Side salad. Salad was okay. Burger didn't taste like there was garlic, and in general, was not tasty at all. Very messy too. The gluten free bun was cut so there was a lot of bread on top and hardly any bread underneath. Had their router which was meh .. got iced tea sheet that. We were right by the bar and it got really loud for a while. Gluten free is not marked on menu. But it does say they have gluten free buns for 2.00 more. They also have gluten free pizza crust. Probably won't go back though, did was kiind of disappointing.
This is the perfect place to get REAL FOOD! Cori makes everything from scratch with organic ingredients, no GMO's, etc. Great options for vegan and gluten free, and those on special diets. Her salads are delicious! Very personal and friendly service by the owner/operator. Highly recommend!
Fresh ingredients and tasty food. Huge bonus is careful, well-designated gluten-free menu items with staff knowledgeable about Celiac cross-contact concerns.
What a refreshing new option for Duluth! The dishes were cleverly designed and the flavors melded wonderfully. The atmosphere is very inviting and the service was great! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They have many gluten free options for those with allergies. We will definitely be back often!
Got to eat here today and it was fabulous! The server knew exactly what I could and couldn't eat with my gluten allergy, he was so helpful! The food was fantastic! I loved that I could sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. Will definitely eat here again!
