Apparently the founder is not even in the kitchen anymore, it is fast food level at a gas station where buses stop, little elaboration of the dishes, omelette with eggs and things like that. Of course, very good care for celiacs and control of allergens such as gluten and lactose (if your palate is not very demanding). Fast and cheap service, but nothing remains of the "family restaurant" that it once apparently was. They told us and we didn't pay attention, don't let the same thing happen to you!

Three people came to eat, two of whom are celiacs. No problems. Homemade, simple and traditional food, with a gluten-free gofio option. Everything rich and tasty. We opted to share the dishes, whichever was better. Lovely and very friendly staff.

The food is good and reasonably priced. They have gluten-free options. For a couple, I recommend two tapas and a meat main course if you want a light meal. The service is decent. It's a good option if you're visiting the San Antonio volcano and want to eat nearby, but it's not worth driving there just to eat there. I recommend booking in advance. On the downside, it takes a long time to bring the food; in our case, we were there for two hours. This would have been better if you were comfortable in the restaurant, but it doesn't have air conditioning, and it's very hot in summer, so the two hours to eat three bites seemed very long. I would recommend at least adding some additional fans (there is a small ceiling fan, but it doesn't do much).

Suitable for people who do not eat gluten. We came for lunch on a Tuesday with a reservation. The waitress who served us was very attentive and gave us personal treatment, recommending specific dishes suitable for people who do not eat gluten. The waiter who served us was somewhat dry and serious. The food was good, we especially loved the dessert of White Chocolate Cream with Mango Sorbet. The cards seemed somewhat impractical to us because they open like a fan, in itself a creative idea, but not very successful in our opinion. Overall, we can recommend the restaurant.

We spent a few days on the island, and it was one of the few places open at that time, but we loved it. They have dishes for all tastes, they're gluten-friendly, and they also have vegetarian options, which was great for me. We ordered the typical grilled cheese, which was delicious, and some other dishes, which were all very good. The waitress who served us was super friendly.

the staff very friendly. We went because I have celiac disease, and I had seen reviews of other clients following a gluten-free diet that went well for them. Unfortunately, there were not many gluten-free options to try, only vegetable things since they are grilled separately due to the issue of cross contamination. The rest of the diners ordered whatever was available (we were unlucky and went at the end of the week so certain dishes that took hours to prepare were sold out). The breaded chicken and fried rabbit dishes were a little dry, lacking some sauce, some vegetables from my barbecue were still hard, but the fish was very tender and tasty and the potatoes were delicious. It is a restaurant that you should go to at the beginning of the week to be able to enjoy all the dishes they offer, and I do not recommend it for celiacs who want to eat anything beyond vegetable dishes or fried cheese (which was very good, but you have to emphasize the lack of options due to the possibility of cross-contamination), although your knowledge on the subject is appreciated.

Excellent, incredible, highly recommended. Food with an exquisite flavor, friendly and unbeatable treatment. If you visit La Palma, don't hesitate, come to Los Cancajos, where the Hotel Las Olas is located, and look for this tavern on the ground floor because you will eat very well at a really low price. And something very important that few places take into account, people who cannot eat gluten here worry about it and that is very appreciated because it rarely happens.

It's located on the route to the Masca ravine, or to Mount Teide via Santiago del Teide, or to Punta Teno... They have delicious coffee (I forgot to take a picture), and they offer gluten-free desserts without cross-contamination, suitable for celiacs. They have them on a tray covered with a glass bell; today we had carrot cake and chocolate coulant. They also have sweets in individual containers, like croissants or cookies. And a gluten-free Toblerone cake, although they told me this one could be cross-contaminated. They seem to be on top of this. I didn't ask if they had gluten-free ice cream, but they did have sugar-free ice cream. The staff is very friendly. There's a small lounge, and also some tables on the street. Oh! And a little bowl for dogs to drink from, as they're welcome.

Simply exquisite food. We loved it so much that on our last day in La Palma, we changed our route so we could go back. The staff was delightful. Both the grilled meat and the goat stew were spectacular... and what can we say about the gofio... delicious! If you let them know a day in advance, they'll prepare the gofio for you if you have gluten! 😌 The best restaurant on the island

Highly recommended! Delicious food! And the location is stunning with luxurious views, but without a doubt the highlight is the blonde waitress (I forget her name) who is very, very friendly! She explained everything in detail and always had a smile! We went with a girl who is celiac, and the waitress constantly explained everything that each dish included and made sure it was gluten-free! The price is a bit pricey, though. I think they could lower the prices on some things a bit... totally recommended.

The quality of the food is very good. Although at 10 euros for a tomato, you'd expect a little more cheese than just 20 grams. Overall, the portions are small, although considering the prices, they look like main courses. But I'm more about quality than quantity. In the photos, you can see a main course of cod with onions and a sweet potato, another main course of octopus with a sweet potato, a salad (not a starter), and a tomato with fresh cheese (which is actually just 20 grams of cheese, no more). But, as I said, I'm more about quality than quantity, so it's fine. Still, with all this plus dessert for two, I left a little hungry (and I don't eat much, believe me!). The apple dessert was spectacular. There's no photo because it disappeared before I could take it! Hahaha. The waitress went a bit overboard. They're constantly talking about their leukemia and judging you if you try to order a gluten-free dessert (without knowing why you're doing it). It's a bit lacking in professionalism for such a posh place.
