I got the smokehouse salad with smoked turkey which was juicy and flavorful. My party also got a serving of smoked turkey with sides that were substantial, the smoked turkey sandwich was absolutely phenomenal with the pimento cheese and beautifully toasted bun, the pulled pork tacos which were displayed well and were stuffed substantially. We also tried to zero proof mocktails. Highly recommend the sweet sereni-tea and the "nojito". Fresh and beautiful presentation. Our server Meghan was attentive and pleasant the entire meal. They were also accommodating and attentive towards my dietary restriction of gluten. 10/10

Ms. Rose’s Fine Food is a treat in Charleston! The food was absolutely delicious—highly recommend the avocado burger with the gluten-free bun, which was sturdy, flavorful, and a perfect match. The meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans was another standout. Don’t leave without trying the brisket fries—mouthwatering! The restaurant is spacious, the staff is warm and welcoming, and our waitress Raven gave top-notch service with great recommendations for us first-timers. We’ll definitely be back!

Busy Friday night. Long wait and we needed to get the Charlotte so we grabbed take out. Our order included brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Sides were mac and cheese and hash and rice. I'm gluten free but husband liked the mac and cheese, it was gone before we left the parking lot. The hash and rice is super finely chopped (puree) pork over plain rice with a kick of hot sauce. My favorite but not kid friendly. The brisket was amazing. The pork was ok. The ribs were disappointing. I'd try them again just for the brisket.

The positives: They have a gluten-friendly menu. The gluten-free bun was excellent. The angus burger was very good. The not-so-positives: The fountain drink was flat. The kettle chips were ho hum. The service was merely adequate. So it was a mixed bag, and next time I'll probably just order the meal to-go. But I will definitely come back, and give it another shot.

No...we're not talking the fancy panini sandwiches...not that I even know what a panini tastes like with being gluten-free for so long. But if you want a plain ole sandwich on Udi's type bland GF bread - toasted (!), Jason's got you, babe. 😘 I still think their salads are the tastier option, but now you've got choices, my friend. And isn't that what we all want? That and free ice cream, of course. Thanks, Jason, wherever you are.

I eat out almost every night and most restaurant experiences are totally unremarkable. OKAN is remarkable in every. Single. Way! I mean where do I start?! The service was excellent, everything I put in my mouth was phenomenal and when Chef Bernard came out to our table and connected with us, it made it a truly memorable experience. He has been on the Food Network’s “Chopped” as well as “Beat Bobby Flay” so you’re in the midst of a native Chicagoan superstar 🤩 Run to this restaurant tonight my friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PS- this is a gluten-free dream restaurant to boot!

Needed a last minute gluten free cake for my mother's birthday and Always Original Bakery came through for us! We were able to get a 6 inch cake ($32) that feeds 6 along with 1/2 dozen cupcakes. Everything tasted great! You can get a 1/2 sheet cake or a full sheet cake, but you do need to order that in advance.

As I local, I’ve been to Chestnut (both the Greenville and Simpsonville locations) many times, but I don’t think I ever left a review. But today, as I am eating the gluten free blueberry scone I bought YESTERDAY at Chestnut, I had to leave a review. Not only is this (now day old) scone still fresh, it is incredibly moist, full of plump blueberries, and has the best texture and flavor. Honestly, it is the best gluten free blueberry scone I have ever had (and I thought I baked a pretty awesome GF scone myself)! You barely know it’s gluten free. I enjoyed every bite and can’t wait to get my next scone. Also, Chestnut serves up Greenville’s best coffee (IMO) - Methodical. All this is wrapped up in a beautiful, chill setting which is perfect for hanging with friends or chilling in your own.

CROSS CONTAMINATION WARNING!! When asked if there was a separate pizza sauce for gluten free crust, they looked dumbfounded. I had to explain that it cannot be the same sauce they used for regular pizza. If you have celiac you need to inform them to use new sauce, pizza cutter, pans etc.

Our waitress did not refill our coffee, forgot our waters, forgot our cream, condiments and didn't seem to care or desire to improve. Normally, I'm very forgiving. In this situation, it was not terribly busy and our waitress did not seem stressed. She was a) either not trained well which is a management issue or b) has no business being in the service industry. Other than that, the Juevos Rancheros was delicious. For gluten free biscuits though, biscuit head in Greenville is miles ahead of this place on taste.

Really good coffee, gluten free bread for egg sandwiches - great quick breakfast spot! The staff were all very friendly and easy to discuss gluten free options with. We ordered the “Farm Egg Sandwich” with sausage and the “Vintage Breakfast Sandwich” - both were delicious! We are both very sensitive celiacs - and had no reaction eating here. We felt confident in their cross contamination measures, but keep in mind they are not a dedicated GF facility. This is a super quaint restaurant with amazing food and service! Steve was our server and he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating as my family is gluten free! The food was also incredible! I will definitely be returning and highly recommend!

We enjoyed the 5-course chef’s tasting experience for Sunday dinner with our grandmother in town! If you are up for a culinary adventure, you should try this “Topsoil Trust Fall” where every dish is a surprise! The chef is so intentional with ingredient sourcing from local farms! I even had duck and goose for the first time! Our server Sean was very knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful! He also recommended the hot cinnamon tea for an after dinner drink that was delightful! I would look forward to the tasting again and trying more new flavors! 🍽️✨Thank you guys for being so accommodating of our gluten free and dairy free lifestyle as well! Stopped by on a Sunday morning 30 mins after placing our name on their wait-list. Since we had a large group of 8, we thought we'd have to wait longer but our table was ready within the 30 mins we were told we need to wait. Overall, we were quite impressed with our visit, especially with the quality of the service. An older waitress who obviously had been there a few years took care of our table of 8 and did a fantastic job, always with a smile. She was kind and efficient and really knew the menu, particularly for some of our gluten-free guests. Food was served hot and was generally quite tasty. Some of the food was over-salted and the sunrise eggs were a bit over-cooked. Overall, we had a great breakfast experience for our party of eight and enjoyed the food we ate. Prices were a bit high but reasonable.

This is my third time coming here. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food is good. I am really glad to see somewhere that offers so many gluten free options. All the plants and surrounding decorations are so pretty. I do have one complaint though that really ruins the whole experience for me and the reason our family probably won’t go back. Every single time I have come to this cafe I have experienced the man who cooks things (I think this is the owner?) is quite rude and hasn’t been friendly. My daughter commented the same thing as well. Today was a special day for my daughter and I and we are both gluten free so we chose this cafe to take our little family to for breakfast. We were met with irritation that we had 6 people in our party. He rolled his eyes and grunted like it was a huge inconvenience. We tried coming as soon as they opened hoping to not cause tension because I know it’s small. Already feeling unwelcomed, I tried to find a table and was snapped at by him and told to go to the back. Even my husband was surprised at the rudeness and irritation from this man. This is the third time we have been met with a less than friendly attitude from him. Kind of put a downer on the whole breakfast and special day. When we got home even my son said something about the guys rudeness. Such a bummer because this cafe would be one of our favorites but we won’t be back :(
