Everything was incredible, to say the least! My friends and I joke that I’m a human gluten detector. Within minutes of eating something, I can tell if it’s been compromised. So I’ve been watching the reviews roll in, waiting for the right moment to try this place out. This morning I woke up early, was hungry, and decided today was the day. I was not disappointed. Finally, a real bagel I don’t have to travel into the city for. Thank you! I love NYC, but going all that way just for a bagel is an exhausting mission. Also, I can’t forget to mention their incredible selection of gluten free desserts / pastries! I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese w/ lox. I usually ask for it toasted, but when they’re fresh, there’s no need. I got there early enough to enjoy it at its best. I also grabbed a gluten free, dairy free dessert that was truly delightful. I feasted the second I got home, so apologies…no pictures. Despite what social media might suggest, the phone does not always eat first in my house, haha. Elliot, thank you for the warm welcome and for making me feel completely at ease. Your confidence and pride in the gluten free offerings was so reassuring and made me all the more excited to dig in. I’m so glad I finally stopped by and I can’t wait to become a regular. Thank you for caring so well for those of us with allergies and sensitivities. May you always be blessed in abundance. Amazing breakfast this morning. The owner’s daughter has celiac so very aware of cross contamination. My daughter with celiac had pancakes with strawberries. This was her first time eating breakfast at a restaurant since she was diagnosed with celiac. They can make anything on the menu gluten free. The only thing that is not gluten free is the scrapple and tater tots. Very good, we will be back.

Chimney Rock takes food sensitivities very seriously. As a parent of a child with celiac disease, Chimney Rock provides a safe place for my child to eat and feel like any other kid. When we originally called to talk to them about how they handle food, the first person we spoke to answered confidently that they properly separate food prep areas for people with celiac or other gluten sensitive conditions. This told me they train their staff on this subject. They have a ton of gluten free meals, including pizza. The first time we ate here after my child's diagnosis we had so many questions. Our waitress was patient, wrote down everything, double checked with the kitchen and management, and came back to our table multiple times to make sure everything we asked was answered to our satisfaction. Honestly I can't say enough good things about Chimney Rock Inn. We ate here a bunch of times before celiac and it's been good food and service consistently over the years. Eat here. Bring your family. You'll not regret it.

Best gluten free sandwich I've ever had!!! They use Two Fields Italian rolls which is the only edible gluten-free bread in my opinion. I was skeptical to try because of how much I disliked other gluten-free sandwiches such as the warm have a Jersey Mike's. I was pleasantly surprised! I'll definitely be going back.

Almost killed our friend with celiac. Got there at 6:30, didn’t receive food until 8:00. Food received was cold and not appetizing. Never came over to tell us what the issue was and left us hungry.

One of my favorite spots. I’m celiac so I’m extra thankful for places like this. I’m not always in the area but when I am I stop in twice! KITCH muffin for breakfast with citrus black and turkey club with sparkling lemonade for lunch are my favorite and my kids love sitting in there sweet garden area to eat. I recommend ordering online first even if going to sit and eat there. Love the atmosphere and the staff. Small space but warm and inviting.

A Hidden Gem with Heart Thank You, Eleanor! I called Bradley Bake Shop last minute in a bit of a panic, trying to find a vegan and gluten-free cake for my friend’s birthday she has strict dietary restrictions and I didn’t want her to miss out on her special day . From the very first moment, Eleanor was an absolute dream to work with. Not only was she polite, professional, and incredibly accommodating, but she made the entire process feel easy and joyful even managing to make it all happen the same day! Her warmth over the phone was instantly reassuring, and meeting her in person was even better. You can feel her love and passion the moment you walk into the shop. It’s clear she doesn’t just bake she pours her sweetness & heart into every detail. We chose the red velvet vegan/gluten-free cake and WOW it was incredible! My husband and I finally came here to dine in. Last time we had pizza here it was just a little take out window and wow had it transformed! I didn't expect it to be as large on the inside. The vibe was cozy and energetic with loud lively music. I loved the gluten free options. I pretty much created my own gluten free vegan style pizza and my husband had the pepperoni pizza. It was super delicious. Service was great. Overall a great experience!

This gluten-free bakery is absolutely incredible! Stopped by on a lazy Sunday afternoon not long before closing. Egg and cheese on English muffin was outstanding and the coffee can't be beat. The crumb cake and cinnamon donuts were delectable. Both items had a light almost fluffy consistency and the taste was absolutely scrumptious. After carbing up for brunch, I left with a bag full of tasty gluten-free baked treats and salad for later. Owners are super cool and it's a nice mellow atmosphere. First visit but certainly won't be the last 😃

Love Asbury Kitchen! Breakfast is my fav meal of the day, and OC def has a lot to offer when it comes to breakfast/brunch! My boyfriend has celiacs (gluten free allergy) and this is our go to! Equipped with a separate fully Gluten Free menu, gluten free desserts, and accommodating staff. There were so many options we’ve never seen at other places (gluten free eggs benedict— pictured) and so much more that we need to go back and try— gluten free almond pound cake- yes please! I got a regular Jersey Eggs Benedict which was absolutely delicious and he got the same made gluten free and we shared a stack of gluten free pancakes with fresh strawberry and crispy bacon. Everything was made to perfection!!! Cozy and clean atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of options! Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch and especially for any friends with allergies!

Ate here twice during our weekend. it’s a fun spot with so many different hot dog options. For us the best part was how awesome they are with allergies - our son is wheat free/gluten free so the fact he could get essentially anything on the menu was so exciting. Chili dog with cheese? Sure. Mac n cheese! Or a brownie ! They’re super careful here. And “Tommy” is so lovely, fun, considerate and clearly enjoys his shop! I wish more places made the same effort for allergy folks!

I’m really disappointed in my experience with Broad Street Dough Co. I placed an order for a Gluten Allergy Mini 9 Box—clearly labeled for those with dietary needs. Instead, I was handed four full-sized donuts and told to “just cut them up.” That might sound simple to an adult, but it doesn’t go over well with children who were each expecting their own donut. Try explaining to nine excited kids that they’ll be splitting donuts with forks and napkins instead of enjoying the individual treat they were promised. I’ve reached out to the business multiple times via email, Facebook and their website. Days have passed with no response, no refund, and no apology. This isn’t just poor customer service—it’s a disregard for food allergies and for customers who trusted them to get it right. I hope they take this feedback seriously and start treating allergy orders—and communication—with the care they deserve.

Brigantine is such a cute town to get away from when staying in AC. I love coming here because they have a wide range of things to eat for breakfast to dinner, and they’re accommodating to gluten free diners. They also allowed my pup outside and brought her chicken breast that I ordered in a doggy bowl. It definitely feels like a homey locals spot and I always look forward to visiting!

Upon arriving, we received a not very warm welcome which set a not nice tone for the evening. However, things quickly became a bit disappointing. When being seated, the host mentioned he saw the Resy notes indicating someone in our party was plant-based and gluten-free and asked if we’d like that menu. If it was already noted in the reservation, it would’ve made sense to have those menus ready at the table or automatically offered. Otherwise — what’s the point of specifying it ahead of time? Our server, Mary, unfortunately wasn’t very knowledgeable about the plant-based, vegan, or gluten-free options. She seemed unsure of the menu, had to double-check multiple times, and lacked confidence in answering basic questions about ingredients and modifications. It’s frustrating as a guest when you take the time to add dietary preferences in advance specifically to avoid situations like this. The veggie soup was far too salty and unenjoyable, though the eggplant parmesan was actually pretty good. The Saratoga still water isn’t a personal favorite and it was the only option, so I had to add several lemon wedges just to make it palatable. The most disappointing moment was when I asked about plant-based desserts. Mary seemed confused by the request until my mom clarified by saying “vegan dessert,” which then prompted her to bring over a tray of pre-made dessert shooters to choose from. Honestly, that felt off-putting. Who knows how long those had been sitting out or how many tables they’d been to that night. It just wasn’t an appealing or thoughtful presentation, especially for a restaurant that prides itself on seasonal and fresh offerings. The restaurant was nearly empty given it was the 4th of July, so it would’ve been an ideal opportunity for attentive service. I’m hoping this was just an off night, perhaps due to holiday staffing. I might give them another try on a regular evening to see if it was an isolated issue — but based on this visit, it definitely missed the mark.

I’ve had gluten free items from the Matawan location before and they were always good. But it was the complete opposite at this location. The cookie sandwich was hard and greasy, one bite and I was done. The brownie cookie and raspberry oat bar were very grainy and not good. For the price that everything was, it should be much better than it was. I’ll just stick to my Simple Mills gluten free cake mixes because at least I know they’re good!
