This was my second time eating here and although the food was delicious giving my celiac wife Tom Yum soup that wasn’t prepared gluten free is unacceptable. We came here back in September because of there large selection of items that can be made gluten free and celiac safe. The server who helped us the first time was very knowledgeable and said they would take extra caution. This time we told the server at least three different times that my wife was celiac and we will order everything gluten free. She still asked about allergies and then assured us everything would be gluten free. A different server or food runner brought the soup and then walked away. Our server brought the mains and said both dishes are gluten free. When we got the bill the two main dishes said **allergy next to it but the soup didn’t. I was hopeful that it was a typo and the soup was gluten free…not 10 minutes later as we got back to the hotel my wife’s celiac flair was in full force and she was out for the night in pain. It’s disappointing that a restaurant with a Michelin star would be this careless

Food is decent. It's great that they have a gluten free eggs benny. Potatoes were definitely undercooked. It is always busy and a zoo to get in - not necessarily worth the wait to get in.

Met up with a pal who was vegan. I have celiac, so Bloomers was a done deal! Had a lovely flat white while I caught up with my friend and got a funfetti cookie to go! Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle... 100% would eat again!

Sometimes it's hard having celiac disease. Today our group went for sushi and I unfortunately couldn't eat anything there. Lucked out and Sweets from the Earth was close by! I met Olivia and she was so friendly and sweet! She gave me coupons and bonus cookies too!

I decided to try Bloomers since I can't have gluten or dairy. I gotta say it was pretty disappointing. I got a few cookies and one was raw inside the middle and overall very under baked. The cookies were all very bland. The pistachio matcha didn't taste like anything. The best one was the red velvet but it was still not that good. The carrot loaf was good but the icing could have been better. The quiche was good considering it wasn't egg. I've gone to a lot of gluten free dairy free spots and this was definitely lower on my list and I won't be back. I wish the gluten free donuts weren't preorder. It's hard to find gluten free donuts and I don't need a whole pack of them.

Came here for the gluten free dumplings people raved about. Got pork and vegetarian. The dough was a little crumbly, which made them a little tough to eat, but I still loved the ability to have something gluten free that normally isn't! I was hoping there might be more options on the menu for gluten free items, but that was all I saw (and essentially what I came for). If I were not allergic to broccoli, I would have tried the beef and broccoli, which I was told could be made gluten free.

Had to come back to this spot for a slap up breakfast. Conveniently located around the corner from where East meets West (King St). The menu is filled with options for anyone, with a nicely elevated complementary pairing of flavours and gluten free options above and beyond bacon and eggs. It’s a bit on the noisy side with the open kitchen so if you or your party are sensitive to noise I’d keep that in mind. Reservations recommended - it’s busy because it’s good! Shout out to Jill who remembered us from our trip last summer :) all of the staff who served us today were wonderful!

Our server Karan was so great and fantastic and was so knowledgeable about the menu. The food was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good. We were especially excited about the gluten free options and the first good gluten free poutine we've seen in years. The milkshake was delicioso yum yum yum yum. The rooftop patio was skibbity.

Amazing experience here, the food, the drinks, the customer service and attentiveness from the waitstaff is a breath of fresh air! Our server Brie was a complete sweetheart and took outstanding care of us, making sure that my food allergies (celiac disease) were taken care of and I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, fun, lively atmosphere with delicious food and a waitstaff who cares! The restaurant offers a gluten-free pizza option, which is great. However, the $7 surcharge for the gluten-free crust feels quite expensive. While I initially liked the dough, it became so hard and chewy as it cooled that it was almost impossible to eat. Unfortunately, the ingredients didn’t seem very flavorful either. We tried two varieties—Pompei and Pesto Chicken—but both lacked taste. Overall, I wouldn’t return.

They have a lot of different waffles choices on the menu. I ordered the Churros one with some cinnamon sugar and syrup on the waffles. It was delicious and i love it. The environment was nice, good for people who want to chill or gathering with friends. They also have gluten free and vegan options. Good for vegan people to enjoy waffles. One thing a little bit inconvenient to me is they only accept debit/cash. not really a big deal but just i prefer pay in credit card.

Went here today for the first time and…. What has taken me so long!? This is a neighbourhood hidden gem in every single incredible way. Beautiful, carefully selected products offered by a passionate, friendly owner who seemed to know everyone who walked through the door. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait to be back. Also - a TON of delightfully delicious looking gluten free options! Wow!

Being gluten free since 2000 makes me a critic of gluten free products. Generally I look for good fibre content, texture, and flavour. This brand does a decent job, their primary liabilities are two things: the price point (this is a costly product line that punishes gluten free diets with what I call a “gluten tax”), and their frozen format; bread is found in the freezer, and whether it’s bagels, or buns, or flatbread, they’re diabolically fused together like they’ve been welded shut. The effort and time it takes to toast these from frozen while trying to pry apart two halves makes these products not worth the money. I’ve stopped buying them unless they can at least slip a sheet of wax paper between two halves. Yes I’ve tried defrosting beforehand but then I’m committed to eating the whole batch within a week, which I cannot afford.

Ich hatte eine gf Pizza zum mitnehmen - sie war super! Knusprige Kruste wie bei „echter“ Pizza, leckerer Belag. 5$ Aufpreis für gf, insgesamt hat sie mich ca 23€ gekostet. Das ist natürlich nicht wenig, aber für Kanada normal und sie war so groß wie alle anderen Pizzen. Ach ja, sie wird in einer Extra Pfanne zubereitet, könnte also auch für Zölis funktionieren.

The service was great the waitress was super nice and related to my gluten allergy. We got the calamari and tiger shrimp and for a main I got the Linguini de Mare and it was all so good but Oh My god the bread. If you come here get the bread. if you have leftover sauce get the bread. I have never had as good bread in my entire life. My gluten allergy could never hold me back from this bread. My stomach hurt so bad after (because of the allergy not the quality of the food; food quality was great) but it was so worth it and I would go back just to get that exact same meal again. Everything was 10/10 but the bread was the best bread I ever had in my entire life

Seeing the unique name of the cafe and the fact that the cakes were vegan made us visit this place. Though there is less seating place inside, there is a large patio at the back. I wonder how this space would be used during the winter season? We ordered a coffee and a chai along with some cakes and we were not disappointed. The chai was excellent and tasted like desert. The cake was dense and tasty. Not overly sweet. I wish it was a gluten-free one. The service, too, was good, and we had fun chatting with the baker+ server. This place seemed popular as quite a few people were dropping in to have their coffee and some savory items. Unfortunately, the cakes we wanted weren't there, hence the selection was less.

A great place to go if you and your friends enjoy sci-fi/fantasy/horror themes. A lot of care and effort has gone into making it a fun place to have drinks and food. The staff and service have always been friendly and accommodating. One of our group is celiac and one is vegan and we have never had an issue.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place and super surprised to find out everything is gluten free! All the ice cream flavours and the cones! Staff was super friendly and nice, ice cream itself was so good and they have alcohol infused ones that tasted amazing. I only got the ice cream to go but they have a cute set up for drink pairings as well - I'll definitely be coming back to try that.

As someone who is gluten free, and who often tries to minimize my dairy consumption, I am appreciative of Defina’s offerings! This pizzeria has gluten free bases, as well as well-thought out vegan toppings (they do change up). The gluten free dough is very good. It’s more fluffy as opposed to flat (I prefer this Neapolitan style of pizza). What I like most about Defina is their creative toppings. There really is something for everyone here! You want a regular margarita? Got it. You want a lot of cheese? Got it. You want chicken wings? Somehow - got it! The service has also always been friendly, attentive, and willing to talk me through my dietary needs. I also like the more intimate atmosphere, which makes it perfect for a date (friendship, romantic, or even self-dating). The food was good and the gluten-free options were great. It was definitely one of the better gluten-free pizzas I’ve had. I liked the amount of pepperoni on my pizza and the spiciness of the pepperoni. We also ordered the amalfi coast spritz cocktail, which was really good. Our waiter was super friendly and very helpful with the allergies in our group. The best part is the view though. I don’t like sitting outside so we sat inside and you still get a full waterfront view. It was honestly so beautiful I wanted to sit there forever. I ordered a cappuccino at the end and that was also surprisingly really good.

More than 10 years later... still amazing! Professional, attentive staff. I brought my husband here for his birthday, and of course I forget to make a note in the reservation to indicate it... but the staff overheard and put a candle on the absolutely-mouthwatering Basque cake anyway. A very thoughtful gesture :) Prix Fixe lunch menu is fantastic and such great value. I loved that the entire lunch menu can be made gluten-free. Look forward to being back for the summer patio!

Love this place! So many gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options that are actually delicious! The atmosphere is also very cute and the rooftop patio is lovely! Expect to come by when you have some time to relax and enjoy the experience as the food doesn’t always come out super fast but it’s been delicious every time Our server, Imaan was also absolutely lovely!

The food is always on-point. Incredible selection, so much to try. Always good for a group, either pickup or dine-in. However, service is an issue as they awkwardly require everything to be paid for at the cash and guests can’t order anything to the table. It’s high quality, just note that there’s lots of extra charges for sauces and such, and the cost for additional wraps, especially gluten free, is disproportionately high.

This place has a fabulous vibe right from the get go! Decor is rustic & eclectic, & there's much to catch your eye....like trees! The menu has pasta (no gf) & pizza (gf/vegan options), accompanied by lots of drink selections. We ordered 1 gluten free pizza, 1 gluten/dairy free pizza, & one regular pizza. I have a load of allergies & the server - Ceci - was very accommodating & knowledgeable about what the kitchen could do for me. We were super impressed! All the pizzas were amazing (like the best gf pizza in the city imho) & my husband polished off the whole regular pizza himself it was so good! We can't say enough about Ceci (& Mark) as they really took good care of us! We highly recommend Bar Poet, especially for the pizza & beer special!! Can't wait to go again! PS - we were able to get a photo with no one in it bc we came in right at open on a mega snowy Monday!

The Moroccan scramble is really tasty! Not too heavy, it’s great. We subbed the salad for potatoes and I think that was the right move. The gluten free bread is really good!! The coffee is super good, and bottomless for $3.50. The vegan kale Caesar is also delicious. Some of the potatoes were crispy, but I would have liked them even more crispy. The service was sooo good. Super kind and very informative. We had to wait around 20 minutes on a Saturday at 10am.

Hubert and his wonderful team at Udupi palace catered my 40th birthday party with a delicious live-cooked dosa bar, with idlis, samosas and pakoras as well. My guests loved the food and a few of them commented to me on how warm and friendly the Udupi palace team was. When my sister asked if they had gluten free dosas, they went all the way back to the restaurant to get special batter for her. I also used Udupi palace to cater my dad's 60th birthday and we had the same experience. These folks will not only bring great food, they will enhance your party atmosphere with their presence. I eat at Udupi places Gerrard Street restaurant at least once a month and I look forward to being a customer for many more years. Thank you!
