I think my partner and I had an incredible time here.
As a coeliac person I have not had the chance to eat gluten-free dumplings for years now, so it felt so amazing for me that I found this amazing restaurant that has such delicious gluten-free dumplings.
My partner and I found the food delicious, friendly service, incredible views and the weather at the time was absolutely stunning.
I feel that I loved it and I would undeniably recommend.

This place is fabulous for those looking for gluten free goods, the options are endless and delicious! The sweet and sour pork was absolutely outstanding and the vermeceli noodles were to die for. We ordered some food to go here because we tried coming last minute (even on a weekday) and they had no tables available. So make reservations in advance. I got their yellow curry to go and it was delicious. After asking the staff they said they take precaution in the kitchen to help prevent cross contamination. They said that you can't have any fried foods though because it's not a dedicated fryer.

High quality, elevated but still traditional southern Chinese taste.
Steamed beef rolls were silky and flavoursome, with a nice hint of coriander.
The beef tendons were soft and delicious.
The dumplings were all gluten free and perfectly steamed.
Crispy skin chicken was deboned which was a pleasant surprise.
The soft shell crab (also gluten free) was crispy and I could tell the oil was very fresh. This was honestly the best soft shell crab I have had.
All in all, a succulent Chinese meal indeed.

I love Chat Thai, especially this one on level six of the Westfield. As well as being away away from all the crowds on the food court below, the food is delicious, fresh and staff are friendly. As a person with coeliac disease, I have eaten here many times with no issue - I just select a gluten free marked option, and then let staff know about my dietary requirement. There is a risk of cross contamination, and they advise they can’t guarantee it’ll be 100% gluten free, but I’ve eaten here many times and had no issue, but make your own decision. My favourite is the fried rice dishes!
Get ready for a lively atmosphere with a diverse menu featuring authentic flavors and plenty of tasty options for everyone!

i have celiac disease and was pleased to see so many options on the menu. Our server insisted that the items we ordered were safe for me BUT shortly after my dinner I was in terrible pain and extremely sick. We ordered the gf options but i’m certain they gave us non-gf (i haven’t had a dumpling that good in a long time). This was the only food I had that evening and i’m familiar with what it feels like to be glutened. It turned my night into a horrid affair, not to mention it’s a fairly pricy place only for me to get sick :(

It was SO excellent to have gluten-free Chinese dishes! I haven't had most of the Australian-Chinese classics in 6 years. The chilli eggplant was incredible, as was the honey chicken and mongolian lamb. Can't wait to come back.

Ok wow, the food here is some of the best vegetarian/vegan food I’ve ever tried. The Szechuan chilli chicken was very impressive, I’ve had many variations of this dish with chicken and this one with vegan chicken is just as good as the best meat ones I’ve had. The wok fried beans were stir fried perfectly and had a nice char and crunch to it.
The dumplings were incredible, we had the English spinach, mushroom and sweet corn, and pandan choysum dumplings. All were gluten free as well and exquisitely made, very soft skin that’s packed with delicious filling. They also had homemade chilli oil on each table and they were perfect to go with the dumplings.
For dessert I had the mango pancakes and they were awesome, fresh mango wrapped with delicious coconut cream and freshly made crepe. One of my favourite desserts.
All the food we had were gluten free except the chilli chicken and mango pancakes. My partner is coeliac and enjoyed the gluten free options with no issues. Will definitely be back!

Service was fantastic. Food was fantastic. My only slight issue is when ordering set menu if gluten free there’s a lot of veggie dishes, I love vegetarian food but would still have liked some more meat options.

It has been at least 15 years since I dined at Bay Tinh, it was my favourite restaurant for years. I returned on Friday night with a group of friends who have never been there before. The food was delicious, the taste and freshness were absolutely how I remembered. The biggest plus was that they totally catered for our dietary requirements, vegan and gluten free. I can't believe it has taken me so long to get back there and I cannot wait to return. All my friends were super impressed too :)

A special first anniversary date with my girlfriend who is Coeliac. Was greeted by Carly who was fantastic in giving us recommendations on Coeliac friendly dishes which made us feel at ease.
Started with Scallops and Whiting both 10/10.
The Salt n Pepper Tofu and Fried Rice were exceptional. Our other main was Spiced Lamb also a delight.
Wine prices were very reasonable. We finished with "dessert" being a Daiquiri Cocktail each.
We will be back again for the Set Menu - which Carly mentioned can be done GF of course.
Please pass on our thanks to Carly who made what was a wonderful experience next level.

Korean Samurai is one of my go to takeaway spots for an affordable and delicious feed. I always get their bulgogi with either pork of beef and both are excellent. When you dine in the bulgogi comes out sizzling hot and the aroma of the dish is incredible. Staff are always so friendly here, and it’s close to the Orpheum so it’s a great food option if you are watching a show there. They also have plenty of gluten free options that have been fine for a coeliac, namely the bibimbap and bulgogi are the gluten free options we’ve tried so far.

Everything is great if you don't have coeliac disease, I sent them a text message to book a table and ask if they could cater for a coeliac, they said YES.
So that YES was simply "I don't have the knowledge but let's give it a try", be aware that coeliac disease is not an allergy or intolerance, it is an autoimmune disease, so cross-contamination is no good for us either, it should be illegal in all restaurants.
Of course I got glutened and was sick for 5 days, apart from that, my small intestine will still be damaged, so no tries and more empathy.
I wrote them a message to let them know and they have left me in the dark.
I hope this review is of some use.
A must-visit spot for anyone craving a vibrant atmosphere, unique flavors, and a diverse menu that'll keep you coming back for more!

Food and drinks were lovely but service and venue are not good for a group booking. I would recommend considering other restaurant options for following reasons:
- booked for 19 guests ($3000 spend), one person was sick on morning of and we were still charged per head for them - no flexibility with the group booking policy even with unforeseen events. Also charged for a whole extra person, there has been communication with the restaurant regarding this and they have communicated they will refund the extra charge but not the ‘no show’.
- On arrival, the restaurant was very quiet for weekend lunch service. Staff were not friendly (except one male waiter, short with brown hair) or welcoming, in fact we almost felt we were an inconvenience. This continued throughout our entire experience at lunch.
- they could not accomodate or move tables together so that 18 people could sit together. We were sitting on two adjacent tables and separated. The reason they explained for this was that by putting two table together “it would interrupt service to other tables”. As mentioned above the restaurant was quiet and there were no other guest dining around us at all for the entirety of our booking.
- We had provided dietary requests upon making group booking and were informed via email that the booking notes would be updated. Staff came to take our order and they did not appear to be aware we were having the banquet and had no prior knowledge of pre-notified dietary requirements.
- Additionally, there was no indication that we would then be charged extra for food substitution for those with allergies. Ie charged extra $9 for roti for someone anaphylactic to sulphites and someone who is coeliac
- I can appreciate extra charges for substitutions but the restaurant didn’t consider crediting us when we only ordered 9 desserts instead of 18. Of course ordinarily I would not have expected credit for this but I think some flexibility and consideration for the extra charges for dietary would go along way!
- Fans above tables were not working and we were told they were broken. Summer in Byron bay is hot!
Overall, Bang Bang has fallen short of providing a smooth experience for a celebratory group booking and I would consider the multiple other dining options in Byron.
Experience a vibrant atmosphere with a unique fusion of flavors, great for group dining and unforgettable celebrations.

We had a Christmas lunch here and it was amazing! Everyone loved the food. Service was great and atmosphere is nice.
We shared the banquet menu and they made it suitable for two of us with gluten free diet.
The pavlova dessert was perfect ending for the dining.

My first time ordering from Penrith Chinese. Who knew? They have an entire gluten free menu and the best thing, it tasted amazing!! I didnt rate high on atmosphere simply because the restaurant itself looks a bit tired and sad so if i wanted to eat out i may think twice BUT I will definately be back. HIGHLY recommend

I wouldn’t have bothered with a review, but they sent an email. It was terrible! Firstly I stood in line for booked patrons and a waitress barged past me twice, one time pushing my back without saying excuse me.
Then I ordered wine and 20 mins later I had to chase it up.
Then we ordered food and it all came out cold and at different times. I ordered gluten free gyozas (gf friends don’t bother) and was served soy sauce - vs tamari.
People around me were chasing up orders, places to sit, drinks and food. Bearing in mind we order via an app. The app crashed several times, which made the whole thing frustrating.
Thursday night, darling harbour, big show at the ICC - maybe try harder.
Modern vibe with spacious settings, perfect for celebrations or gatherings, offering a lively atmosphere and a fun, quirky experience.

Great very large Asian restaurant located next door to the huge hotel and serving up modern Chinese cuisine.
STAFF: Exceptionally helpful, albeit seemingly less experienced dealing with a large booked out restaurant.
FOOD: Cannot rave about this enough! Very reasonably priced with various vegetarian and gluten free options. I was pleasantly surprised that they use gluten free flour/panko crumbs/pancakes etc - so rather than the typical inferior gf option - many of their dishes are served up as high quality gf by default - without compromising on flavour.
ENVIRONMENT: Very large, dimly lit, modern yet warm interiors which large groups of people can enjoy. At the times I was there - I witnessed several people enjoying Birthday/Engagement parties and business get togethers. Tables easily sitting 30+ people each.
ACCESSIBILITY: All wheelchair and pram accessible, including bathroom areas.
Discover a fantastic spot with amazing, authentic flavors, perfect for everyone in the family, plus quick service and budget-friendly options.

This place is pure gold! An authentic gem I visit regularly for delicious Currys. My kids favourite restaurant (eggplant pakoras!), and caters beautifully to our gluten free, dairy free, vegan and meat loving family members. Try the eggplant curry, goat curry, fish curry, spinach paneer. So so so good. And affordable! A Newcastle landmark.
