TLDR: amazing service, quality food with good portions, well trained staff, able to accommodate many dietary requirements and accommodate different budgets.

My most recent visit was my fourth time dining at Chin Chin, this time it was with work colleagues for a Christmas lunch.
The food was delicious as per usual, and it is worth noting that despite the fact that the restaurant was absolutely packed and insanely busy, all of our dietary requirements were met without fail (lactose intolerance, gluten intolerance).
In terms of cuisine you wont find anything “traditional” at Chin Chin, it is Asian fusion at its finest, but everything is well thought out, well balanced and also fun.
The service was excellent with the staff explaining each dish, making sure our drinks were topped up, checking in with us in between courses and even taking the time to have a quick chat with our table. Additionally when I passed by the kitchen it was very clear that they had their communication locked down.
Always a pleasure to dine here.
Expect a vibrant spot with creative cocktails, ample dining options, and a cozy atmosphere perfect for any occasion or celebration.

Fantastic all round.
We didn't have a booking but the staff made room for us. Amazing food, great service and good pricing.
My partner is celioac and they brought her a specialised menu and made everything she wanted completely gluten free. They even used a separate fryer for the chicken.
Can recommend the feed me option.

Lovely food and friendly, helpful staff. They have lots of gluten free options. I had a chicken teriyaki bowl and it was really nice, fresh and tasty. Service was very fast. It's a clean, casual cafe in the CBD, highly recommend.

Emma looked after us beautifully.
Plenty of gluten free options. Only one GF dessert but it was full of flavour.

Really lovely Indonesian restaurant. The staff here are so friendly, they were very patient and accommodating to all customers. The staff were knowledgeable about coeliac disease, so I felt safe eating here. Plenty of gluten free options! The food was delicious! Clean and a good atmosphere. Recommend!

It's nice enough, though very crowded with the seating. I'm Coeliac and I only had 1 Entree option, 2 Main options and 1 desert option. I picked the Dahl, but to be honest, no better than what I get locally and far more expensive. Not somewhere I would pick.
A vibrant spot with a chill vibe, tons of unique tea options, and stellar accommodations for diverse dietary needs!

I am so glad I found this joint! A cool space with a good atmosphere and excellent customer service. If you’ve seen any of my food posts you’ll know I’m that person with a ridiculous food intolerance that is usually not considered. Here it was! They have a separate emu that lists the items open for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, fructose free, onion free and garlic and onion free! What? So good!
My bloke and I shared a few dishes when eating out for the first time in… for ever! Delicious cabbage and pork dumplings, legit fried rice, crispy pork belly and eye fillet steak - we had sauces on the side for him to enjoy and me to avoid and both thoroughly enjoyed a top notch, tasty meal along with a couple of crisp and light rice lagers. I bought some of the yummy smelling teas to go. A first class experience. Thanks!
This spot offers a unique take on Japanese dining with a delightful atmosphere and a special menu for those looking for alternatives.

We waited 40min to get our order… we were only a table of 3 people. All the tables around us have been served before us but arrived later. The okonomiyaki was burnt, the corn cheese was floating in oil, the noodles were too much cooked, the clay pot was fade…. No indication for gluten free meal.. no tap water … Never again !
Experience a vibrant atmosphere with a unique tasting selection that celebrates creativity, perfect for sharing and enjoying with friends.

ORDERED: Tasting Selection ($45.00pp)
🐟 Kingfish sashimi: ponzu yuzu, chilli oil, shallot
🦪 Baked scallops: on shell, Vietnamese potato cheese sauce
🥣 Green Chicken Curry: Bamboo, capsicum, zucchini, snake beans, fried kale
🐖 Crispy Pork Belly: Chinese celery, puffed rice, coriander, caramel soy sauce
🍚 Coconut rice
We spent $51.77 each for 2 people, which included juice!
REVIEW:
📖 I love Kiss & Tell's approach to affordable food. For $45pp, we got to pick 2 entrees, 2 mains and a side dish which turned out just to be the right amount of food for us!
When you can also pick what to get from the menu to make up the Tasting Selection, it's hard to go wrong (unless you pick things you don't like). 😅
❤️ My favourites from our selection:
1. Baked scallops. The Vietnamese cheese sauce was heavenly and added this savoury kick that I appreciated. It's a classic treat that always goes down well. 🧀
2. Green curry chicken. The fried kale was an excellent addition to the dish that added an amazing savouriness and texture. Fried kale is my kryptonite and it elevated this dish to drool-worthy heights. ☘️
3. Coconut rice. It's a simple thing but incredible when restaurants go the extra mile to drown the coconut rice in coconut milk and give it the royal treatment it deserves. 🤍
Big love to the kitchen for the amazing food we had that night!
My friend is gluten free. The food we had didn't detract from my experience at all. I can see why Kiss & Tell were so popular on a Friday night - it was packed to the rafters by the time I left!
Bookings HIGHLY encouraged. ⭐
Service lost points on being unable to manage my water levels.
I never got a refill on my water cup (sad) and would've appreciated a carafe if my water wasn't going to be topped up throughout the night. 🌧️
Other than that, we found that our food came out in a pretty timely manner! No complaints here. 👍

We enjoyed the set menu dining experience and enjoyed every mouthful. We were greeted with a tasty cocktail and then the food came out soon after. I have a gluten and dairy intolerance and was catered for very well. Staff were efficient and friendly. Nice place for a romantic/ quiet meal away from the hustle & bustle of busy Melbourne.
An exceptional catering experience with attentive service, fresh nourishing ingredients, and a focus on plant-based meals makes this place a must-visit.

Delicious poke bowls that are filled with a great selection of yummy fresh ingredients that are nourishing and include great gluten free options.
Used to eat here pre Covid. Standard has dropped a little unfortunately. Had lunch today (weekday) and food was very average - nasi goreng was quite bland and didn’t have enough spices. Would be nice if they had more gluten free options! Portion size is good though, at least I felt full afterwards.
Service and ambience great for catching up with friends so it’s a good place for meetups.
A hidden gem with a chill upstairs vibe, serving fresh and delicious meals that leave everyone satisfied and wanting more.

Wonderful for coeliacs. Every care was taken to ensure my meal was safe. I had a poke bowl, and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I went with a work group and everyone enjoyed their meals. Upstairs room was also quiet. If I lived in Melbourne I would definitely be returning.
Brim CC Japanese Organic we decided to go there for a late breakfast 10.30 am they open at 10 there is construction going on in the street so the ambience is not great but this is more than made up for in the great food and friendly service.
I had the HALF CURRY & rice + Soup SET --- $12.50 it was the chicken curry really good with miso soup made with lots of veges and meat balls delish.
My wife had the Tokyo Bento --- $12.00
Rice balls, Meatball, potato salad w/Japanese mayo, traditional carrots and egg plant & tofu w/sweet miso
Not only did this look fantastic it tasted fantastic 10 out of 10.
We liked it that much we had to go back the next day and shared the Buckwheat Pancake (Gluten Free) --- $8.00
+ With sauteed Organic summer veges
+ With Organic Fruits and honey (as sweets)
The Pancake with veg was huge taking up almost all of the plate covered with Japanese style veg it was very good. The fruit pancake though not as big was very tasty and wonderfully sweet. We also had the Japanese tea on both occasions having never tasted this before it is a treat for the senses very different almost a sort of meaty after taste.
The service was very friendly and helpful. We would defiantly recommend that you try Brim CC Japanese Organic.
Secret Kitchen in not so much a secret among foodies who love good chinese food. This place is Huge...Really HUGE and the team of attendants is Big for obvious reasons, it's always crowded.
Beef was perfectly cooked in the Spicy Flavorful Broth , Eggplant with Minced Chicken was perfectly savory and the Secret Kitchen Special Egg Fried Rice was topped with perfectly cooked Prawns was reason enough to live up to our expectations.
We also ordered piglets Bun stuffed with custard for desserts but they weren't as good as we thought they would be. The custard fillingwithin a very fat but was little and dense, and not creamy at all. Quite disappointing after such a delicious meal.
We were three of us and one portion of dessert serves two and as soon as we requested to add one more, they were happy to add at an extra cost which was quite sweet of them.
Portions are generous and hospitality quite friendly. They have good choice for Vegetarians, Vegans and Glutenfree foodies.
Athough an expensive affair (opposite to what Zomato and TripAdvisor) was a beautiful affair with food.
