I ate at this restaurant when it was called Riz, and i just went under their new name. The menu is expanded and is all gluten free. It is a treat to be able to order anything and not have to ask about ingredients. As a huge bonus, they had a dessert pastry selection of items I’ve never seen available in gluten free versions. I had a chocolate eclair which was amazing.
Tucked away on a side street, this vibrant spot boasts warm vibes, stunning decor, and some of the best Thai cuisine you'll ever find.

This was my second time eating here and although the food was delicious giving my celiac wife Tom Yum soup that wasn’t prepared gluten free is unacceptable. We came here back in September because of there large selection of items that can be made gluten free and celiac safe. The server who helped us the first time was very knowledgeable and said they would take extra caution.
This time we told the server at least three different times that my wife was celiac and we will order everything gluten free. She still asked about allergies and then assured us everything would be gluten free. A different server or food runner brought the soup and then walked away. Our server brought the mains and said both dishes are gluten free. When we got the bill the two main dishes said **allergy next to it but the soup didn’t. I was hopeful that it was a typo and the soup was gluten free…not 10 minutes later as we got back to the hotel my wife’s celiac flair was in full force and she was out for the night in pain.
It’s disappointing that a restaurant with a Michelin star would be this careless

Wanted to leave a review specifically for celiacs: Planta Queen has the best celiac-friendly accommodations I've experienced anywhere in Toronto. Our hostess confirmed upon check-in that someone in the party had celiac disease. Our server confirmed it when introducing herself to the table. The manager came by to inform me everything would be prepared in a separate area, with gloves being changed before making our dishes. And every time a dish was dropped off, they confirmed it to be celiac-safe. I felt so incredibly secure that a dish didn't inadvertently get "missed" by the kitchen, and that there wouldn't be any cross-contamination. Bonus: they have a separate fryer so celiacs can even eat the fried items, AND they were able to modify dishes that weren't marked gluten-free to be gluten free for me. Everything was delicious. Definitely, definitely worth a visit!
A must-visit for plant-based enthusiasts, this café boasts stunning desserts and a cozy vibe, minus dine-in options and with takeout only.

Absolutely love eating here, the vibe is amazing and the staff are top tier! The food and atmosphere are so unique and as a Gluten Free Vegan who doesn't drink, trust me when I say this is a haven.
I have been a few times so I have tried most of the food. Alot of the menu is already edible for me as is, but the majority of the menu can be accommodated to a vegan and/or gluten free diet which is amazing. The mocktails are equally fantastic.
Watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen is the best, and the Management team and Madison in Events are always the most generous and accommodating. If you are so lucky to have service from Joseph, you will leave a very happy and full man!

I would give 50 Stars if I could for the most amazing experience we had with Udipi Place.
Mr Hubert D’Mello, the owner is an incredible human being and I was floored by his service, attitude and food. His restaurant has been in Toronto over 20 years and the food and service has always been impeccable. Living downtown I often frequented.
For my daughters wedding reception on the 17th of September 2022 we catered, a Live Dosa Station and other dishes from this humble yet iconic authentic South Indian restaurant.
From planing the menu, to the food tasting and pleasing all our food preferences & demands, Mr Hubert showed immense patience and understanding, even prepared a few dishes which were not on his menu to accommodate our Vegan dietary requirements.
Our venue required fire insurance and a small 10 pound propane tank, which Mr Hubert easily accommodated, without charging us any extra. ( he went and bought a new propane tank just for my event, amazing service👏🏻)
The day of the event went flawlessly with the arrival of Mr Hubert’s team who set up the the live Dosa grill and food.
We had 8 varieties of Dosas 😍 all vegan and gluten and nut free.
Samosas and Dal Vada ( specifically made at my daughters request) as starters. The tangy and spicy Rasam soup along with Bisibele Bhath.
For dessert their Chef specially made Moong Dal payasam which was sinfully delicious and yes Vegan 🙌🏻
We had a melange of guests from all corners of the world, each of whom found the food incredibly delicious. More so, nothing was left over from the buffet.
The food was perfect for all age groups as the dosas were made in the spot individually on requests of each guests. People landed up having more than a couple of dosas each, which shows how good the food was.
I had catered for 55 people but we had 60 turn up and yet the generous portions brought by Hubert and his incredible team sufficed.
I’m so grateful to have catered from Udipi Place as it left my guests satiated and happy.
Honestly when one hosts a big event, seldom people don’t give too much importance to the food( my observation attending many events ) for me I believe food is the way to peoples heart and when it’s served with so much love and care it’s outshines everything.
We all were blown away by the service beyond expectations by Hubert and Udipi Place.
Thank you so much for making our Big Day so memorable.

Not to be missed! This is an incredible Royal Thai restaurant with a beautifully done menu and great atmosphere. The food was absolutely incredible - even items I don’t usually enjoy like caviar were amazing and done to perfection. We loved every single dish.
Highly recommend for a date night, anniversary, or birthday dinner. I have 8 food allergies including Celiac (gluten free, dairy free, soy free, peanut free and more) and they accommodated and adjusted the menu so I could enjoy the meal! If you’re a foodie, you need to go here to experience a Royal Thai cuisine meal. The attention to detail was amazing!

The new location has a great atmosphere. I really enjoy their food and have options as a gluten free vegetarian. I often ask for a decaf espresso martini with no alcohol and most say they can’t do it - the bar tenders at Lee made the best one I’ve had to date! Thanks for a great experience.

I can't usually eat Asian food, due to having celiac disease, but I was DELIGHTED to see a page in the menu with dedicated, gluten-free entrees!
I had never been able to try soondubu before, so I jumped on the chance, though I had no idea this would be a spicy dish 🔥🥵. I also got the "mild" japche, which I shared with my partner.
Everything was DELICIOUS and I was so grateful with how the owners made it their personal mission to ensure that my food would be safe for me to eat.
I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Korean food, especially if someone in their party had food allergies like myself. I even got pork fried rice to go, and it was delicious too!
They have tons of gluten free options and even have included gluten free soysauce! Which is a huge plus since other places don’t have gluten free soysauce option

What an absolutely fabulous dining experience!! Went to Minami for the first time with my family, including overseas visitors. We ordered lots of different sharing plates and menu items including many recommended by our server (Jay). Every item was so delicious and the perfect portions. My sometimes picky teenagers could not get enough, they devoured everything. The food was also beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly, attentive and super helpful. One of our party was gluten and dairy intolerant so they modified dishes so this member of our party was included in all but one dish. We were so impressed. The atmosphere was cosy and comfortable. We will definitely be coming here again!!
I ordered takeout from Miku for the first time on Family Day and it will probably be my last.
I ordered the signature 12pc set and the gluten free soy sauce I requested tasted like gasoline.
The food is way too overpriced for this to happen. It ruined the whole meal.
The pieces were also way too big. It feels like they are catering to North American expectations of ‘the bigger the better’ but it is very off putting when a roll can’t fit in your mouth. J San sushi is much better at this and their prices are much more reasonable. The pieces also didn’t seem very fresh. So disappointed.
The conveyor belt dining experience here is a hit, serving up delicious dishes with a fun vibe, though it leans on the pricier side.

Formally one of our go to restaurants. Went to celebrate 3 August birthdays My birthday on the 22 My granddaughter celebrated her birthday at camp. So she was really excited. We have restrictions with nut allergy and being celiac. We were told that the ingredients had changed. They now have a new spice which contains wheat put in the rice. Why! So menu limited for the 2 diners restricted Beware if you have dietary restrictions!!!!
We chose to stay as no need to also ruin the enjoyment of the other birthday girl. The other birthday boy agreed Then we noticed we got no service, no water being replenished, no dirty plates being removed We were actually stacking them. Plus the portions of a couple of plates seemed smaller Then, one of the sushi pieces had a dark hair,, since we are all light hair it wasn’t ours
My daughter went and outlined our concerns to manager who was apologetic, and very pleasant. He immediately got service to our table and offered a complimentary dessert.
One other complaint would be that we went about 6:30. Were told a 30 min wait. As we were sitting waiting, a person we knew had just come out and said why the wait, place is empty. Sure enough when we went in. Place was 1/2 empty. Why the wait? Insulting yes
Then the bathrooms., one was closed, so only 2 functioning and there was a lineup. And they were not clean. Passed on even washing my hands Would not have used facilities in that condition.
The only reason I gave the service a (1 ). was that the young hostess was so pleasant and helpful. Our bill was not minimal, this is not fast food prices
My birthday, food wise, would have been ruined. If we had let it happen. The atmosphere and. Celebration would have been awful It was totally disappointing For individuals having that occasional special dinner outing. It would have been sad and a financial waste
Fortunately when we left, still hungry, we went next door to Restoration Hardware where we had excellent food, service and pristine conditions even though they were busy No wait and same sort of price range Good bye Toro. Hello RH!
Will people we know hear about this. You can be sure And by the way. ….. There was nothing wrong with the old rice

As someone with celiac disease it’s very hard to find places to eat. It’s even harder to find any Japanese food that is safe for me to eat. There are many gluten free options here, which (writing this review the morning after eating) seem to be safe. On my take away order I noted I have a gluten allergy and the food prepared did not give me any reaction. I believe the kitchen took the necessary precautions with my note about my allergy.
I will definitely be ordering from here frequently in the future. Also I should note the filling to rice ratio on the rolls were amazing, they don’t overdo the rice ratio.

My husband and I went for dinner tonight and we were so pleased with Sisaket! The service was charming right form the start. The food was FANTASTIC. We started with the Tom Yum Lemongrass Soup, and it tasted exactly the way I want it to taste - absolutely packed with flavour. We had the green curry, which was decadent and deeply delicious, with just the right amount of heat. The cashew stir fry was sweet, had tons of veggie, and was so very tasty. The pad thai had a lovely tamarind flavour. My husband is gluten free and they gladly
