I appreciate having a bakery in this area that makes gluten-free foods. However, most of the items I've ordered have been disappointing and not worth the high cost. The biscuits are too dense, dry, and salty. The everything bagels are tough and salty. I wouldn't order either again. The cupcakes are okay. I do love the chocolate croissant, though. Get it heated. It is sweet, chocolately, and delightful. I will order it again. Please note this is not somewhere you can sit and eat. There is room for about 2-3 customers to enter, order, and exit.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s baby shower. Shanna was terrific! I sent her a photo of our art style, and let her do her thing. The finished result was literally a work of art. Not only was the cake beautiful, but it was delicious, moist and fluffy. We chose two flavors, mocha and vanilla. The fondant was perfect. Several of our guests commented that though they had never liked fondant before, they loved this. No one could believe it was all gluten free. Corbin’s is pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

My gluten free family was so happy to find a new gluten free bakery in our travels. Delicious treats (especially the pepperoni rolls) and great prices. Nowhere compares to the quality. Both gluten free and dairy free options, and they don’t pack a ton of sugar in anything where it’s hard to eat. I’ve never ordered something that made me feel bad or give me any sugar rushes. Big fan of this place.

I was really excited to try this spot and was a little disappointed. Great and extensive menu with gluten-free, vegan, and healthy options. I ordered the pancake combo, and my pancakes were undercooked. They were perfectly brown on the outside, but the inside wasn't cooked through enough. My server was friendly and the restaurants decor matches it's name.

We have been to the bakery twice now and bought the bakery items from Good Foods Grocery and Elwood and Thompson. We have had the take and bake cinnamon rolls, brownies, cupcakes, and more! Today we tried the strawberry shortcake and it was really good! The cupcakes are my daughter’s favorite. I have a soy allergy and gluten intolerance. My daughter has peanut, most tree nuts , and egg allergies. It’s so nice to be able to walk in and be able to let her have a choice. Thank you!

Overall, the pastries are really good. I like their cookies and apple donuts. They always have a variety of stuff, and even their bread is suprisingly good for being gluten-free. The coffee is kind of so so and the cakes were a bit sweet for my liking. The service is always friendly and the interior is very cute. I will definitely be coming here more regularly

It is hard to put into words how much I love and respect this place. Everything I've had from here is amazing. The first time I popped in was over a year ago- I legit was almost in tears eating a cinnamon roll. And The chicken pie :,) to die for. Even iced coffee is somehow taken to another level- and it was VEGAN! I would have never guessed any of the items I had here were gluten free OR dairy free if I had not known its a dedicated Gluten Free, Dairy Free, & Wheat free kitchen. This place deserves more recognition. I even am able to try new things that I hadn't had even in my years before I was unable to eat gluten- like today I had a sample of minced fruit pie! its like your regular fruit pie on steroids- way more flavor. I love it!!! (Obviously I bought one lol) and also tried the Veggie pizza and Pepperoni pizzas today and they blew my socks off. Ambiance is great- calm french music, place smells amazing when you walk in. Greeted by friendly and knowledgable staff. Keep doin yo thang, guys! Thank you!!!

i’ve come here a few times now. I’ve never been disappointed with the service. The food and desserts are always amazing. They have fabulous choices for vegan and gluten friendly people as well. We always stop by Blue Ridge Bagels when we are in Lynchburg. They have gluten free options, almost anything on their menu. The food and coffee is delicious!

My husband and I got our wedding cake and cupcakes done through Pearl's, and we are so happy with how everything turned out! We had a complimentary tasting a few months before. We had gluten-free and vegan guests, and Pearl's was able to make cupcakes for those needs which was really important to us. They worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!

Run do NOT walk to Anna B’s for the oatmeal cream pie! It has become my favorite sweet treat. Do not let the gluten free part of this bakery fool you if you aren’t gluten free. You would never know the difference. The bakery is perfectly decorated and is so cozy. Always clean and fresh. A true hidden gem that needs everyone to know it exists!

Minglewood Bakery offers a delicious selection of scones and cookies that are soy, dairy and gluten-free (!!!) in addition to their other vegan baked goods. Most bakeries just throw too much sugar or other sweeteners in to make up for the fact that there is no diary or gluten. But Minglewood actually balances the taste experience, nothing is overly sweet, and you can experience the other flavors. The textures are also great (which if you are gluten-free, you know it's hard to get good chewy textures without being overly dry). The Raspberry Jam cookies are wonderful. And my husband, who is not vegan and has no allergies, didn't even realize he was eating vegan deviled eggs and chicken salad. It was so tasty and the textures were close to real chicken salad. Minglewood Bakery is my happy place. You won't be sorry you stopped by.

Good coffee with dairy free options and a variety of flavors. Their pastry cabinet features gluten free options although I haven't verified if they're celiac safe. Atmosphere is nice, and they sell locally crafted goods. Line is often out the door around peak coffee hours.

Our Gluten-Free and Vegan wedding cake was absolutely phenomenal. I received assistance from Dennis- who is such an amazing person. Every time I walked into the bakery with a panic about ideas for our cake, he was there to calm me down and handle everything I threw at him (figuratively speaking, of course). I walked in with tears from the planning stress and Dennis gave me some great advice and even a free cupcake to make me less nervous. Thank you so much Chantel’s Bakery! Deliciously Indulgent!! I have never been to the store front but I have been gifted treats! And I have to say, it was an absolute treat from start to finish! The Variety is impressive- Gluten Free and Vegan, whether you're into classic favorites or more adventurous flavors, there is something for everyone. Even though I have yet to be at the store front I do know the staff is friendly. Its super helpful for people with Dietary restrictions or preference. Overall, this is defiantly a place ill return to whenever I am craving something sweet! The quality, flavor variety, and friendly staff make it worth every bite. HIGHLY recommended !!!

I love my little hometown coffee shop. The baristas are friendly, the gluten free options are amazing, and this little shop never disappoints. If you’re new to town, try an oat fudge bar :) I also love their cafe au lait and it’s my new go to :)

I love this little cupcake shop so much! My wife and I often get a craving for cupcakes and they always pull through. The place is adorable - a whimsical little spot situated perfectly in Old Town. The staff is always so friendly even when busy. Also, they have great gluten-free cupcakes! Though if you’re like me and get cravings late in the day, it never hurts to call and make sure they’re in stock. Only rarely have they told me they’re sold out, but it happens as with all bakeries. I appreciate that they usually have one “traditional” flavor and then one that’s more unique for GF options. That’s a rare find. Bonus: they make a nice, hearty GF cupcake. Other place’s GF cupcakes tend to be dry and crumbly. Something about their cupcakes just tastes better. I’m no baker, but you really can taste the better-quality and fresh ingredients.

I'm a Williamsburg native and Hohl has delivered the coffee/latte quality and experience I've craved for years. - Atmosphere is warm and inviting. It's a great place to linger with loved ones, catch up, and create new memories. Only note is that it's a bit loud, but that's because Hohl is loved by many. I'm not sure if they can do anything to fix that. - Parking is easy at both locations. The Toano location has a parking lot on-site and a gravel lot adjacent to the building. The CW location has a parking garage behind it and hourly street parking. - If you're into coffee, you'll like it here. They HOUSE MAKE their syrups (which is awesome) and offer two sizes; 8oz and 12oz and do solid pour overs. It feels like the coffee scene from RVA is finally trickling into Williamsburg. - If you have food sensitivities, there's gluten-free options and vegan options available. I don't think they're 100% celiac friendly, but they have those disclaimers on the menu, I believe. - The staff is service-oriented and kind. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the products. Shout out to Hosea for being a great barista! As far as food, bev, and vibes go in the Burg, Hohl is one of the best things that's happened to the city. Very stoked to have Hohl in town and to see what the owners do next. Please support local businesses! <3

I don’t believe they actually make gluten free bagels. I have tried to come to this location and their others multiple times - and they have never actually had the gluten free bagels. Even if ordering online and it says they are available, they always say they’re “out” of them, regardless of the time of day.

This is my comfort coffee shop and my bi-weekly reward for grocery shopping. They take celiac disease seriously and prevent cross contamination as much as they can for gluten free bagels. It’s so appreciated and it does wonders for my mental health to know I’ll be safe at this coffee shop. My favorite drink is the iced wafflelatte. I order it every time. Usually I’ll get a gluten free everything “the works” bagel with salmon. If I’m craving it, I’ll get one of the gluten free brownies. You can’t go wrong with what you order here, it’s all incredible.

The restaurant is clean but dated. The tape on our booth seat was loose and sliding around. The staff were attentive and the breakfast prices reasonable. The wife's chipped beef was good as were my eggs and the pancakes were excellent. We haven't been here for many years but will be returning. The silverware was very substantial and kudos for serving soft butter vs frozen for the pancakes!👍 *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, or kids emojis etc.. Absolutely loved this place! I had a Reuben sandwich and the smoked gouda mac and cheese, and both were delicious. I had the best cold brew with oat milk—smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. My husband went for the Sicilian flatbread and an iced frappe, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. Since my daughter has celiac, I was happy to see they offer many gluten-free and vegan options on the menu. The staff was super friendly, the service was quick, and the whole vibe just felt warm and inviting. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. A true local gem!

The most heavenly, silky buttercream ever. Vanilla Raspberry Almond is my weakness and the rotating weekly flavors are INCREDIBLE. Cookies and cream is a delicious chocolate option on the regular menu - I'm not even typically a chocolate cake fan but PLEASE try something chocolate here ! Some of my favorite rotating flavors include: Butterbeer Cherry Blossom Sharkberry Peanut Butter Cup The gluten free options are also really delicious. The staff is also really awesome every time I stop in.
