TL;DR - Substantial drop in food quality and service. I can't imagine myself visiting this location again, and you shouldn't imagine yourself going here either. Pizza Luce has always been a place I could rely on for great food and service, but my most recent visit was incredibly disappointing. During my visit I got a Breggfast pizza to eat there, and Gluten Free Bruscetta to go; both were entirely disappointing. Pizza - I got the Breggfast pizza with their Buffa-Luce sauce... well, at least that's what I ordered. What I got was a pizza crust with some ingredients on it, but no sauce. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he told me it was there. I restated that in fact, no, it was not, and showed him the pizza, and he informed me that I was incorrect and it was there, and then just walked away without another word. So apparently as far as this waiter was concerned, I'm blind and have no taste buds. Gluten Free Bruscetta - Oh, I'm sorry, did I say Bruscetta, I meant the cheapest, most terrible gluten free hamburger buns you can find. Pizza Luce's GF Bruscetta used to be, hands down, the best around. I believe they got the bread from a local bakery and perhaps they aren't around any longer, but if you can't find a good alternative, then just don't have any. If I had to guess, they just use Schar hamburger buns, though that feels like an insult to Shar. These were terrible; they tasted like cardboard and were soggy. Pizza Luce was always a safe bet when I was in the area, for both Pizza and gluten free items, but this visit was a joke, and an expensive one at that.

We visited during our vacation and had an incredible experience. Our server, Ellie, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and ensured that my daughter, who has Celiac, had all the items clearly marked as gluten-free. They use separate fryers and cooktops, and even offer gluten-free buns and wings! The food was so delicious that we decided to come back the very next day!

I’ve accepted that I’ll never be a judge on Master Chef, in return I’d accepted that I’d never have an experience where you bite into a dish and get to be absolutely astounded by all the flavors and profiles that come along with it… until I ate at Colita! We had the Pate and it was nothing short of remarkable! The staff was top tier, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere is intimate and inviting! I had a great experience here with celiac disease. The server answered my questions confidently and personally walked me through the menu. They confirmed when bringing out the cauliflower appetizer that it had come from the dedicated fryer. I enjoyed a burger and tater tots. Highly recommend!

This was my 4th time dining here. We made a reservation for our party of 6, which worked out well, as the restaurant filled up fast. We were celebrating my oldests bday (fyi - they don't offer a dessert or anything if it's your day). I have Celiac and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to ordering. Our table shared cheese curds (amazing!) onion rings (not bad) as appetizers to start with. They have a variety of sauces. The harissa was great with the curds. One Daughter said the cowboy burger was THE best burger she's ever had! My other daughter is vegan, and she enjoyed the mushroom tacos, and cauliflower bites. The tacos and bowls are very good, and filling ... The coconut curry soup is so flavorful. The craft cocktails are delicious although a bit pricey. They make all their syrups in house though, so great quality. I recommend the rumpshaker. They offer a variety of beers on tap, mocktails, and a couple N/A beers, and liftbridge root beer. There is a pinball machine near the bathrooms. Fun - but it's $2 per game. There's a few parking spots next to the restaurant. Otherwise it's street parking.

The menu is rooted in Southern and Caribbean-inspired flavors, and everything is made with care. My personal go-to is the pulled chicken, which is juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Pair it with the creamed jalapeño spinach - a side dish so unexpectedly addictive that I now find myself ordering it every time, no matter what else I get. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a laid-back counter-service setup that somehow still manages to feel intentional and warm. It’s the kind of place where regulars bring newcomers, knowing the food will speak for itself. Other favorites include the slow-roasted pork, collard greens, and desserts. They are all flavorful, filling, and made to be mixed, matched, and shared. The portions are generous, and there are great options for gluten-free and dairy-free diners, too. Brasa doesn’t try to be trendy or overcomplicated. It focuses on doing comfort food right. We used Donatellis Catering for our wedding day, and they were amazing to work with. The tasting was a great experience; they provided one of every dish to try as well a few gluten free options since I am gluten free myself. They also had all their linen, silverware, plate, and cup options laid out to choose from. They were helpful in making decisions to keep our costs as low as possible, while still making sure we got everything we wanted! The food was buffet style at our wedding and we went with the Caesar Salad, Tortellini Carbonara, Mostaccholi, and Tuscan Chicken. It also included garlic bread and roasted vegetables! Everyone raved about the food and said it was one of the few times they’ve actually left a wedding full and satisfied with their meal. We were able to pick up the linens the day before to get them on the tables the next morning, and an employee of Donatelli’s stayed until the end of the night to take everything with them and help clean up. The next day they had all our leftovers boxed up and ready to be picked up at the restaurant! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Another wonderful meal. We love this restaurant. The only negative i could say is that the salad came out like a minute before the meal but otherwise the meal was delicious. I love that they have a gluten free menu. I got to try the gluten free bead at the beginning of the meal which was really tasty. I'm just thrilled when a dining establishment accommodates my dietary restriction and allows me to feel a part of the normal experience. The local cider beer was nice and my significant other enjoyed his Manhatten. We finished with a wonderful creme Brule which was prepared perfectly. The ribs fell off the bone and were incredibly tender. My significant other had the north woods fish fry and said it was good even though the coating was different this time (not as crisp). The staff was friendly. This is one of the best establishments in the mall.

Best breakfast I’ve EVER had. I got the Scromble of The Day. Tomatoes and Chimichurri *chefs kiss* I’m gluten free and the GF English muffins were great.. I got TWO with my breakfast. My dad got the breakfast burrito and he loved it! Super cool spot to check out in downtown Minneapolis.

Our server was very friendly, just not super attentive. Sat many times waiting for a drink refill. That being said, as a Gluten Free gal, they have MANY options. The tacos were amazing. My friend got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and wasn’t impressed as it tasted more like curry sauce.

Cannot sing high enough praises of chianti grill or our experience here for our anniversary. John was out server and was the best waiter I've had at a restaurant. We got the surf and turf and the lobster linguine with gluten free noodles. It was all exquisitely prepared and delightful. We also enjoyed the calamari, old fashioned, Chardonnay, and Tennessee cheesecake. Highly recommend this grill for any special occasion!

I love that they have their own gluten-free menu and even have gluten-free options as specials!! This is one of my favorite restaurants! This is one of the best and most authentic pizza places I have been to. I loved the amount of variety they had for vegetarians and on top of that for vegan and gluten free options. Every single item on the pizza tasted very fresh and melted in the mouth. The server recommended us a local beer and it was amazing as well. Overall a great dining experience after our visit to the nearby Minnehaha Falls. Will surely visit again and wish they had more outlets outside MIneapolis.

Came in for a burger and a beer at happy hour. Restaurant was clean, and has a higher caliber (if not fairly common) gastropub aesthetic. First thing I noticed was the abundance of staff, even on a weekday afternoon, which was nice. Multiple hosts, they sat me at a nice private seat away from other tables without me even needing to ask, had a server right away with multiple people checking on me throughout my meal - always a plus. My server was happy to pour me a sample of a cider I’d never tried before without me even needing to ask, which was a nice gesture. Absolutely massive draught list, which is great. As for the burger, I have to say it was fairly mediocre. California Burger, fairly standard burger toppings with the addition of a cilantro mayo and avocado slices. Couldn’t taste the cilantro at all and the lettuce was this cheap, flavorless, shredded romaine that looked like it came fresh off the subway prep line. I ordered it on a gluten-free bun, which was an up-charge, though I honestly would’ve preferred eating the components over a salad instead. The bun appeared to have been briefly grilled, but it was horribly dry, flaky, and crumbly, falling apart all over the table before I was even halfway through eating it. I’ve had plenty of great gluten free buns at burger joints, this wasn’t one of them. Either the supplier or the preparation needs to change. Fries were actually quite good, at least! Interesting cut, I’m not sure what the prep method is. Nice combination of thick steak fry and thin crispy fry textures, with a subtle, but tasty seasoning blend. Overall an okay experience. Perhaps some of the other food is better, but if you have anything poorly conceived or consistently poorly executed on your menu, it doesn’t make me excited to spend money taking a chance on anything more. I’d be most likely to return for nothing more than a side of fries and another pour from your impressive draught list, which is unfortunate, given the size and decent atmosphere of the rest of the establishment.

We ordered takeout from Coconut Thai this weekend, and my only disappointment is that I didn't know about this place sooner. Thai food is far and away my favorite, but it can be hard to find places with gluten free options that don't involve removing much of the flavor and/or texture of the original (non-gluten free) dish. Coconut Thai makes most of their dishes gluten-free BY DEFAULT - several more are gf upon request - which is remarkable and deeply appreciated. We got the red curry with chicken, the pad see yew (also with chicken), and the pineapple curry (again with chicken - I know, we need to branch out), and they were all superb. I echo what everyone else has said about it being reminiscent of Supatra, but with the addition of dozens of gluten-free menu options. It's like the Supatra of my dreams! Can't wait to continue working my way down the menu very soon, as I plan to try just about everything.

The Cedar Chest is hands down the BEST place in the Crosslake area! We have always had outstanding service and great food here. I am so appreciative of the variety of gluten-free menu choices!! The wait staff and bar tenders are always so cheerful and friendly. Looking forward to warmer weather so we can dine outside on the beautiful deck.

Had a super knowledgeable server who made sure to take extra time to answer all my questions. She even knew about how the specials were made, and if they could be made GF. Ended up getting spaghetti with Italian sausage and it’s the best noodle I’ve had since my diagnosis! After dinner, make sure to go down to the first floor and check out the market—there’s a new, clearly marked and pretty big gluten free Italian pasta section—they even have gluten free stuffed shells in the freezer!

I love this place, and their sister restaurant next door. Everything here is delicious. And the outdoor patio is large, and first come first serve. I see lots of dates happening here, and lots of dogs on the patio. Parking can get congested during peak times, so plan accordingly. Gluten Free options!!

Most attractive food I've seen and tasted in ages! The atmosphere was a bit rustic and loud but the food was so incredible and well put together that I didn't mind the noise from the other tables! Tap beers, elevated cuisine, fantastic (and huge) shakes, vegan and gluten-free options! The whole package. In warmer weather they seem to have a really nice outdoor seating area and seems dog friendly. Highly recommend!
