My Husband is Gluten Free and this came up on the internet. Was perfect opens at 5.00pm and after walking miles around this glorious town we were ready for an early supper. This is a MUST GO for people with celiac. I had the best experience. They have a gluten free menu, just have to ask for it. And it has plenty of options from the main menu that you can have. Our waiter was very thoughtful and even put my husband’s croutons on the side of his salad just in case we shared it. When my food came each time, he acknowledged the safety of my meal to me. The place is a little upscale but laid back at the same time.

We love our Mellow Mushroom, this was our first time at this location. I had the custom burger with bacon mushrooms and onion. It is a double patty smash burger style. Slamming good. Service was good the waitress was training and serving several other tables we went during the lunch rush. My wife had the steak and cheese calzone. Good could use a little more cheese. My sone had the gluten free pizza he has severe food allergies and this is the only place he can eat pizza other than if we make at home.

I live in Texas and Miller’s is at the top of my list of places to go when I visit Charleston. Every time I go I try something new and I’m NEVER disappointed . The cinnamon roll, Avacado toast, the monster cookie (extra points for it being gluten free) and espresso martini are a few of my favorites. The James Island location is such a quaint, family friendly place that my 5 year old absolutely loves and the downtown location has such a fun vibe. We had a disappointing experience at The Dime today. We were in line at 11:15 and due to the long line, we did not make it to the counter until 11:40. At this time, after waiting almost 30 minutes, we were told that we could not order anything from the breakfast or lunch menus, that lunch did not start until 12 and breakfast was over. Our only option was to order pastries from the case. I have celiac disease, so obviously, the pastries were not an option for me. I explained this and asked if I was just out of luck, to which I was plainly told “yes.” We pled for flexibility and the entire staff told us there was nothing we could do. We wanted to take our business elsewhere at this point, but unfortunately, there were not other options close by that would offer the same grab and go experience that we were looking for. We came back in at noon and ordered from the lunch menu. Our food was good and the atmosphere is beautiful. Could be a great spot if they could figure out a way to not turn customers away for 30 minutes, especially after waiting in line for the same amount of time.
