Dinner of fish and chips and seafood paella. Great to have gluten-free options. Food was good, but personally, I felt the portions could have been slightly more generous for the price. Nice venue with good views, attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed our meal, the seafood was cooked well and the flavours were on point.
Charming spot with take-away vibes, serving delicious dishes near the water, though views are a bit obstructed by green space.

Ordered the seafood chowder and half a dozen oysters while partner ordered the edge chicken. The food was delicious and the service ladies were lovely. According to the menu, the owner and chef is gluten-free, so this is also a great option for coeliacs.
In terms of vibes, I was expecting almost like a classy restaurant vibe but think of it more as a take-away fish and chip shop. While the restaurant is located close to the water, I mostly got obstructed views of the sea as there is a green space between the restaurant and the sea.
Honestly, not a big deal as the food and service more than made up for it.
Eclectic and quirky with a retro vibe, this beloved local hangout is filled with unique decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Amazing atmosphere and so many gluten free options! They have a sign specifically stating to use special gf tongs to grab gf food which of course we can all agree is very reassuring!! The food was delicious!! Definitely a wonderful stop!

We came at a very busy time, but they gave us an accurate time of an availability and they fit us it. After being seated, my 4 year old promptly spilled his apple juice. Scott immediately appeared with a towel and a cheerful “No worries” to set us at ease. The presentation and flavours of our brekkies were spot on; oats bowl, banana and salted caramel pancakes and avocado on toast were delicious and satisfying too. They catered to gluten free and vegan for two of our party without comment or drama. Ashmore on Bridge St is one of the great cafes in Tasmania and Richmond is a better destination because of it! We stopped at this place as we were going to cradle mountain. Lots of options for dietary requirements and they even especially made these gluten and dairy free pancakes for me!

Wow, definitely the best avo smash gluten free bread breakfast. GF bread is house made! This is only the half serve option, it’s bigger if you order the full serve. Love the pistachio dukkah. Will be back. Fantastic service too. Very happy. Thank you Dandy Lane.
A great pit stop during long drives, offering decent coffee, a variety of snacks, and good seating for a quick break.

It's an OK place to stop for a cuppa, but if you're gluten free don't expect much to choose from for a bite to eat. There are a few gluten free bakery items which are okay, but the two offerings for lunch are uninspiring. I stick to a nice cup of tea here. The husband likes to stop here as he's not gluten free and enjoys the menu.
Chill vibes and a prime location make this spot perfect for anyone craving a diverse and appealing menu full of options.

Lovely spot . Though I don't think waiter spoke good English as he gave us vegemite with fruit toast , and brought friend at table normal sausage roll when gluten free ordered . He asked him x 3 if it was gluten free before he went to check ?
This spot boasts stunning water views, great value meals, and a menu that caters to diverse dietary needs, making it a must-visit.

Had a beef burger, needed a bit more flavour. We also needed a gluten free meal and that wasn't a problem. But place needs a good refresh looks a bit dated.

Omg 😍🤩😛 this might be the best breakfast place i have been to. Everything we got was sensational. We had to over eat to try more, having the big breakfast, sweet waffles, soup, and coffees. Literally 10/10 for everything! A MUST when in Hobart.
Free street parking near by. Menu has lots of gluten free and dairy free options and many of the items are fresh from their farm. Just divine - Yum!!!!

Late Sunday afternoon visit right on closing time. Could not have been more welcoming. Lovely gluten free apple and rhubarb crumble with cream and ice cream. Gave us a larger serving as we were sharing. Quirky shop to wander around, brought back memories of childhood.
This compact play area offers a cozy atmosphere for kids with engaging activities, though the decor feels a bit gloomy and needs a pop of color.

Decent play centre cafe, pretty compact though. Food is mainly gluten free so be careful with your choices if you're used to standard meals - I ordered a strawberry milkshake and it tasted quite yucky to me because it had coconut cream, but was honestly my bad for not looking closely at the menu details, and there's a reason the kids didn't finish eating the brownie bites. Chicken and chips were decent. It looked pretty gloomy inside with grey walls and only blue and white play equipment everywhere. As my toddler said "I liked the other one better because that one has colourful balls, and this one only has blue" lol. There's a separate room with a bouncy castle thing and nothing else so I don't see why anyone would sit in the tables in that room as you'd want to have visibility of the main play area. Staff also assumed we hadn't paid for the kids when we were ordering food and almost charged us again, luckily we explained once we caught on to their vague question of "any kids in the play area? And how old are they?". Overall place looks safe for kids, good amount of table and seats around with some room to move, so good use of compact space. Clean toilets. Reasonable pricing. Free 3h parking outside.
Current admission prices to play area (as of Dec 2024):
1-3 years $5.50 ( Under 1 Free )
4+ years $7.50
Experience a captivating blend of tranquility and elegance in a historic setting that promises unforgettable memories and remarkable service.

Beautiful little cafe on the water. Staff are always amazing, the food in 4 visits has always been perfect.
Gluten free options are no problem and coffee is delicious.
Highly recommended.
I went once and they gave me gluten free soy sauce but I came back yesterday and the waitress told me the soy sauce they had on the table was gluten free but it wasn’t.
Today I’m completely sick.
Be careful if you are celiac and you go to eat there. Even if they say it’s gluten free they can make a mistake. I think they have no idea how sick a person can get from eating gluten.
