A safe haven for celiacs—with just a small note.
This dedicated gluten-free restaurant near the thermal resort is a rare and much-needed spot for anyone with celiac disease. The peace of mind that comes from knowing every dish is truly gluten-free is priceless.
The food is flavorful and the dessert options are surprisingly good. My only small critique is that some dishes were a bit too salty or had a bit too much garlic for my personal taste—but that could very well be a matter of individual preference.
Overall, highly recommended!
Charming spot in Ljubljana with a vibrant atmosphere, spacious seating, and a nice location near the river, perfect for an enjoyable dining experience.

On holiday abroad, eating gluten-free is always difficult, especially due to the risk of contamination... I recommend this pizzeria positively for the availability of gluten-free dishes (pizzas, first courses and a dessert). The pizza I chose, bufalina, had excellent ingredients, quality raw materials, which compensated for the toasted gluten-free pizza base that we celiacs know well. My travel companions also enjoyed the pizza, and found it extremely digestible. The waitress who served us was also very kind and professional. Good quality/price. Advise!!!
A must-visit for vegan enthusiasts, featuring incredible ice cream and pizza, all served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.

I bought gluten-free bread there. Freshly baked 'in house' by mom. Really great.
Was also dinner. Vegan pasta with (bio/organic) vegetables and herbs, some of which are grown in-house. Top quality and freshly prepared! A short waiting time is absolutely acceptable. Organic regional wines and advice are also available. Where else can you find something like that?? Right here!
100% recommendation even as a non-vegetarian 👍🙏

Good gluten free pasta and beer. Manager/waiter was rude to two older English ladies. As they tried to tell him something about their beverages, he said, “what’s wrong now”. Mean. Then I saw the same guy pick up several French fries with his fingers off a plate that was being delivered to a customer. I couldn’t believe it. Find another spot.
Enjoy a cozy atmosphere with a French vibe, friendly dogs, and a diverse menu that's perfect for breakfast or lunch.

This is not a good place for gluten free diets as some have pretended. The menu specifies the allergens, but that’s all. Having some gluten free bread slices to go with your omelet isn’t a big effort. The bread isn’t even home made, they didn’t even manage to toast it at least. So once and for all, let me confirm that there are no specifically adapted recipes and products for gluten free people.

Great food!! Awesome desserts! Gluten free options. They were rude on the phone while wanting to make a reservation and not very attentive when we arrived.
Chill by the river in a cozy spot with unique desserts and refreshing dairy-free drinks, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

If you happen to be in Ljubljana, and have food intolerances, you’re not in a happy place. But Cacao café can give you some consolation and relief. They have different vegan and gluten free cakes, that are really delicious, and their beverages have always dairy free options. I advise you to try the golden milk with curcuma, a mighty spicy drink for those cold days, and the hit chocolate with almond milk. Thanks to cacao café, I have a taste of Slovenia refined pastry. 🙏
P.S.: yes I gained some weight 🙂↕️

Very good breakfast, especially if you are celiac. They make gluten free pancakes, I ordered two pancakes with eggs, bacon and maple syrup, and it was delicious! I recommend it 100%

Very tasty gluten free options. The chefs meatloaf and the venison were very good. Paired with a wine and some deserts, it was delicious and well proportioned. We were very full. The staff were fantastic, English was better than mine, very friendly. The place is cozy and warm (we visited in February). Not the cheapest, but between 4 people- 4 mains, 1 bottle of wine, 2 deserts, 1 coffee, and bread baskets, we spent around 40€ each.
A must-visit for vegan food lovers, boasting unique dishes, a cozy atmosphere, and a popular reputation that fills up quickly.

WOW!!! I have been to many vegan restaurants all over the world and our experience at Gaudi&Naan is one of the best! ⭐️
The food was excellent! I had never tried the Juicy Marble steak and I am a vegan who never missed meat and I actually normally steer far away from meat imitations. But this one I really wanted to try.
At Gaudi&Naan they had prepared it perfectly! 👌 It comes with a pepper sause and wonderful sides. The meat of the vegan steak is salty and falls apart and has a very nice texture.
We also enjoyed the curry!
I have to mention that lovely Maria squeezed us in after I was visibly sad when they were out of capacity because a colleague had fallen ill. Maria was absolutely full of love and let us dine although she had a full restaurant to take care of all alone - I am so grateful. Thank you!
Ah, PS. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free and it was safe for me as a someone with celiac disease.
PS 2. Maria paired the stake perfectly with a nice glass of red wine.
A must-visit gem with incredible flavors and a diverse menu that leaves travelers raving about the experience!

Amazing, best food we’ve had travelling around Europe this month. The stuffed vine leaves, falafel, and vegetable tajine were all incredible. The olives were very tasty. Would highly highly recommend. Very good for gluten free choices too as we have a coeliac/celiac in our group.
Massive pizzas and hearty dishes create a satisfying experience, with attentive service and a variety of tasty options.

Typical food from the area and huge pizzas. Both fish and meat are very delicious. There is no option for gluten-free pizzas or bread but the two celiacs in the group left full. There are quite a few gluten-free options including desserts and the waiter also informed us very well about what we could order. All perfect.
What an unexpected experience we had at Bistro Grad Stanjel! After wondering around the narrow streets of Stanjel, during an autumn rain, we happened to find this beautiful restaurant. We were welcomed by a very friendly stuff and after a quick chat about the menu, we were invited to be seated. We were instantly charmed. The mix between the bright nude colors and a touch of blue makes the inside feel truly warm and pleasant. You have the possibility to get a degustation menu, but we chose to try the appetizer, the corn soup and some wine. They quickly adapt to my health restrictions and that's perfect for those who follow a vegan, dairy or gluten free diet. I totally recommend the corn soup. It's extremely creamy and it leaves a pleasant touch in your mouth long after you ate it. To add a little more, we appreciated the waitress and her very detailed comments about each dish we tried. I would definitely like to repeat such an experience!
Enjoy a creatively crafted menu with quick service in a clean space featuring a welcoming vibe and a unique twist on dining.

Well prepared and varied menu. We liked that most of the food is gluten-free and that there are not many classic fried dishes that every restaurant offers you. You can see from the plate that they make an effort in the kitchen for the guest, and the same applies to the friendly service staff. Parking was not difficult to find. The restaurant is clean to a high standard, and everything else is also impeccably arranged
Wide selection and friendly staff. Allergens nicely marked. Even some gluten-free options. / Great food selection and friendly staff. Allergen clearly labeled. Even some gluten-free options.

Hole in the wall kind of shop with a super limited menu and basically only outdoor seating - they serve the local sausage + 2 local stews. I had the jota, a stew with sausage and beans, which is naturally gluten free, while my boyfriend had the titular klobasarna sausage in a bun. Cheap beer and wine available too.

I highly recommend this restaurant, booking advised.
It is a small and cozy place to have a fabulous meal in a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.
The menu offers a range of dishes covering the Mediterranean cuisine, suitable for vegetarians as well. Upon calling ahead one can also have gluten free alternatives to bread.
Giving notice to the kitchen on my dietary requirements my dishes were prepared gluten and lactose free using fresh utensils and the chef tried to keep cross contamination to a minimum. However, they do not have a designated area to prepare dishes separately. I have not had any issues after my meal.
The dishes are made to order, ingredients are fresh and tasteful, the spices are well balanced and rich. Waiting time is acceptable and the dishes are appealingly arranged.
The waiters are welcoming, alert, and swift yet not stressed or rushing. They also know the menu very well and their recommendations are to the point, they answer all questions patiently. It has been my second visit and I’ve enjoyed a lovely evening with a fantastic view from the patio. My first visit was in the winter season 2021 and the menu was slightly different due to seasonal availability of ingredients. I recommend to have a try at both if possible.

One of the best "roštilj" "peka" restaurants in Slo and beyond. Completely natural taste of meat and potatoes! Reservation required for a table inside during the Ski season, outside table (table) will have to wait. Right next to the Kekec cable car, but it's worth the 150km drive for lovers of natural food without anything artificial. Unbelievable: octopus better than at sea.
Peka is gluten free (of course).
Relax on the spacious terrace or cozy inside while enjoying generous portions and a solid value for your meal.

Negative energy is felt in the employees. It really spoils the whole experience, unfortunately. Food ok, nothing special. They do not have gluten-free and vegan options. We have been twice so far, in summer and now in winter. We are no longer tempted to visit a restaurant.
Experience breathtaking mountain and forest views, a spectacular balcony, and a relaxing vibe that makes every moment unforgettable.

We had dinner at this beautiful location yesterday evening with two people. We ate on the terrace and had a fantastic view of the mountains. Our waitress was so sweet and spoke perfect English, she advised us on the wine and it was superb. The food was of good quality. They also thought along with my friend who has a gluten allergy. It was a great evening where everything was just right; service, location and quality of food and wine. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Our stay was better than expected. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating right from the start. Gluten-free at breakfast and in the in-house restaurant (there is a 15% discount for guests here) was no problem, there were even two types of muesli, three different types of bread and three different types of biscuits - a big thank you again for that, that's not a given!! The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient, there was even tuna, salmon, mozzarella, olives etc. and you could have fresh eggs made. The coffee comes from a small machine but tastes really good! We also ate there in the evening on three out of four days because we liked it so much. The room was nice, a bit cramped but very modern. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, the air conditioning worked great. It's a bit noisy, but since there are only a few rooms it's absolutely ok. The location is very central, there are many restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby.
Wonderful place, delicious home made gluten free cake, young friendly stuff (good English), nice and calming music. Visitors of Ptuj can recharge their "batteries" and after a cup of coffee they can continue their sightseeing.
Important for drivers: There is a free parking place for guests so there is no need to park your car on a paid car park.
Chill spot with a terrace that offers decent dishes, but watch out for the mandatory tip that feels a bit off.

They have some gluten-free food.
The dishes we ate were not bad.
Normal prices, but when paying they force you to give a % of the bill amount as a tip, which I don't see well.

Super inclusive dinner! The central location of the restaurant certainly does justice to the environment: pleasant and happiness-inspiring. There aren't many places: there are tables both inside and outside towards the small square in front, but it's definitely best to book. We hadn't thought about it and waited half an hour to sit down, but it was worth it; another very nice thing: we met an American boy who was in line alone in front of us, so in the end we all ate together, filling our table of 4. If the wonderful environment, which is also part of a project that provides work to disabled kids, should it not be enough to convince tourists and locals to at least drop by, even the food, although quite simple, was typical, very good and very cheap compared to the average in the city center (e.g. typical Slovenian dumplings €9, goulash €10, side dish of roast potatoes €4, potato and sausage meatballs €8.50, glass of local wine €3; also very nice that water is brought to all tables for free). Finally, the excellent attention to allergies is also very useful for me as I am celiac (and abroad I may have some more difficulties): in fact, the possible allergens are indicated under all the dishes!
Therefore, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone for any occasion: breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner (be careful that they close at 10pm, so they only take tables until around 9.30)! Gorgeous 😍

We only ate at the restaurant so cannot review the hotel. This Michelin star restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter was phenomenal and knowledgeable about the local cuisine and wines. The shrimp starter served floating in tomato foam was amazing and the chicken dinner was good served with polenta and asparagus. The vegetarian pesto risotto was delicious. The restaurant was also helpful and accommodating with the need for a gluten free meal. The highlight was the melting chocolate dessert. Overall, when in the Bled area of Slovenia definitely eat here.
