This is one place where I can go to get safe gluten-free pastries and was really disappointed with my last experience. My wife and I went into the shop on 6/28 which is my birthday for me to get a few birthday treats. We were at the bakery counter while the worker was checking out a male customer. The male customer left and two women entered. My wife and I had been waiting at the counter where all the pastries are to order and so the other two women stood on the right hand side of us, closer to the door. The worker with purple hair proceeded to completely disregarded my wife and I and smiled, spoke and attempting to help the two women who had came in after only for them to tell the worker we were they first which the worker already knew and they proceeds to say “oh yes they were” and then comes over to us. This was so off putting and I really appreciate those two women who spoke up. That encounter really shifted the vibe of my day and I will not be returning. Also, the quality of the cupcakes were so poor, they had hardened. There’s no way they were fresh. To the worker, do better. Don’t make people feel small in a place where they are expecting equality. Thank you.

I'm not a big chain restaurant fan, however, True Food kitchen is an exception. It really is whole food. I appreciate that there are several vegan and gluten-free options. The butternut squash soup and the hot tulsi ginger and tea are somethings I always look forward to.

Super helpful and knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and celiac cross contamination. Our family member with celiac showed no issues after having their "magic waffle." Almond flour was a concern as well and they let us know their GF flour is rice based and vegan. They said they are proud of their GF blend and we agree that they should be. To go above and beyond for service, they asked when we would consume the waffles to know how much to cool them down and keep them from getting soggy. Its hard to find places so accommodating and polite, this is a gem you dont want to miss if you are GF or just craving a good waffle.

I have reviewed this exact location before and gave it five stars but I need to update it. It’s only worth three. Food wasn’t nearly half as good as it was last time. The sausage was dried out. The pancakes were average. I got the peach ones that were on special this month. My wife had gluten pre-pancakes, which were OK for gluten-free. Let’s be real here. But the waiter was rude. He was normally rude to us. He was rude to other people and they may be shortstaffed, but there’s no excuse to treat people like that. They need to be knocked down a notch accordingly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Arepa is a great spot, especially if you’re looking for gluten-free options! The place has a nice, cozy vibe and it was super quick to get seated, which was a pleasant surprise. The food took a little while, but it was definitely worth the wait — everything was fresh and delicious. The service was okay-ish. The host or waiter didn’t check up on us at all during the meal, but he was friendly when we left. My partner thanked him and said everything was delicious, and he appreciated that. He also knew a bit about gluten-free needs and recommended a celiac-friendly arepa for my partner, which was super helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I cant believe it has taken me two weeks to post a review but OMG. B, had done an amazing job on my order! I am a celiac and find it hard finding a place that serves gluten free dishes. When I went i was a little disappointed in how little options there were for a GF menu, but i ordered the cheesy grits with the quinoa chicken pesto with an over easy egg and it blew my mind! B, i cant thank you enough for my breakfast! it really made my morning and definitely made me happy. totally changed my mood from okay to great. the grits were perfect. cooked rich to a soft texture that made me warm with every bite. And the salad?! mixed with the over easy egg, holy sh## i wanted at least another 3 plates. Im really not overexaggerating. when its good its good. and the fall coffee, mint mocha, amazing! B, if you see this, Thank you soooo much! I will definitely be back again. And to see such a happy fella made me feel just as happy. Great guy. First Watch is always going to be first on my mind when i think of where to eat on the go. Pun intended. B, Thank you again!!!

Excellent meal as always. Very accommodating towards gluten free. Our waiter was wonderful. Helped my mom pick out the perfect sandwich. Plenty of meat on our sandwiches, too. We had a corner table, nice and clean. Love the bakery selection l and vintage candies. Always a great time here.

The food was incredibly delicious. I'm gluten-free, so I got a potato bowl. You can build your own breakfast and add whatever you'd like. They do not have gluten-free bread on the menu, but their bowls were much better than a sandwich. Coffee was delicious, too.

We stopped by another Broken Egg Café on a whim one morning. My gluten-free pancakes were very light and fluffy; I would definitely order those again. The sausage and eggs were also very tasty. However, the city grits were quite loose and more watery than I expected, so I probably wouldn’t choose those again. We also tried the spiked coffee, which was a bit strong; I think a little less alcohol would have improved it, as it was barely drinkable. We mentioned this to the waitress, and she noted that she tends to pour heavily, so if you enjoy a stronger drink, the spiked coffee might be for you. All in all, it was a good breakfast for a quick bite.

If you’re vegan and/or gluten free, you will love their choices. If you love olives, try Athena’s Gift which is a delicious gluten free, vegan sandwich. They also make their hummus in house. If that weren’t enough, check out the dessert options too!

I love it here so much. The food and drinks are delicious and the staff is so nice! I love pursuing the baked goods case and the bodega area to bring some stuff home. Would love to see some more gluten free and dairy free options in their selections in the future though.

Food was really good. I have dietary restrictions (not by choice) and they were very accommodating. The menu was labeled with the gluten sensitive options and also made sure to leave out anything dairy related. Server was very nice and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back again!

💙 I ate at the Blue Orchid Thai restaurant for the first time this past week with my friend. It captures your attention right away with its beautiful interior and large outdoor eating porch. We decided to sit outside because the weather was so nice. I ordered my fav Thai dish, Drunken Noodles. They are great about taking care of gluten allergies there and the dish tasted very fresh and delicious. My friend got the yellow curry and she loved it. If you love Thai food definitely go The ambiance, food and location are amazing 🤩

Really long wait always during brunch time and so loud. The staff were attentive, nice and helpful. In honesty we only came here because someone gifted us a gift card and the breakfast was mediocre and really doesn’t match the high pricing of the meals/ entrees that they offer. I had the farmhouse hash which was not great or tasteful, my partner who is GF/ celiac had a quinoa power bowl that he didn’t enjoy or thought was good as well. Their speciality iced coffees were tasteful I’ll give them that but definitely won’t be coming back here soon.

Definitely coming back again! You will love having Hannah as your server. She’s awesome. My husband and I ordered burgers and he ordered a roulette burger and informed them no tomatoes but didn’t realize they would cook mushrooms and he can’t eat it. We felt bad but they were very sweet and brought out a different burger for him. He loved his burger. I ordered a custom burger since I’m gluten free- sunny side up egg, bacon, cheese burger with bbq sauce (lettuce wrap). Very good! And their tater tots are good too! Like I said, we’ll definitely be coming back again! 🙌🏻

We went because they have gluten free pancakes so my friend could eat with us Not only was the service slow despite the restaurant being almost empty, they messed up the order of gluten free pancakes so my friend got one slice of bacon and hashbrowns That's a straight up nope, never again

Amazing location. The burger was great. I had to eat it bunless since I'm Gluten free, but it was delicious. The fries were also good. Not too greasy or anything. They also had gluten free muffins, which made me SO happy. I also tried one of their iced coffee lattes. They have milk alternatives also for us dairy sensitive folks. I think the best part about this place is the fact they hire special needs adults to work there. They were very kind and sweet. I love seeing them helping out and their coworkers being awesome working together with them too. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell cups and other merch. Live music was being played too. All around a good time.

Was very happy to find a gluten free bakery until the woman behind the counter decided she was going to “put me in my place” because she thought I made a racial joke. Btw- I didn’t. Not worth your time. Sorry I spent my money here. Won’t be back.
