Was excited to try this restaurant as it came recommend for gluten free dining. We enjoyed a tasty pasta dish and flatbread, with very generous servings. Prices are a little higher but one pasta dish and flatbread was plenty of food for two adults to share.

We went here to try the food as my friend is celiac and they offer gluten free options. Food was yummy. Lamb pieces were abit tough but the other 2 skewers were a hit! Rice was bland but the yoghurt helped. Ambience is nice though tables were very crowded in small space.

What a disappointing response, below, from the owner/management team here. The assertions below are incorrect, which is why I am again taking the time out of my lovely Gold Coast holiday to write this - there was no unacceptable behaviour on our part, only valid criticism (we then paid and left). And the innocent customer nearby was not encouraging calm or attempting to ‘diffuse’ the situation - he was expressing his kind support of us!!!!!!! Clearly La Calabrese cannot accept any form of criticism - there appears to be a pattern here, if one considers many of the other negative reviews below (criticisms are offered by patrons; La Calabrese then appears to become defensive; disingenuous assertions are then made in respect of the patron’s behaviour etc). You also cannot rely upon staff to clearly articulate what is/is not available. We made a booking based upon the relevant menu, which was then different to when we arrived (prices also appeared to be different). A gluten-free Tagliata as well as a GF Chicken Rolle - all no longer available as the menu that is on the website is no longer relevant and also less expensive. No GF pasta was available. We were not advised of any of this, when we sat down, in respect of what was/wasn't available. Note - if you currently download the dinner menu, it WILL be incorrect as at this time/date. We were clearly disappointed with the offerings available - we then paid for what we actually could have and left. Despite this, the staff at the front desk were too busy bickering and gossiping - not a care was ultimately given. Terrible experience.

The food is so flavourful and I loved how healthy it is! Not healthy meaning only the vegetable and meat but healthy as in they don't cook with inflammatory oils, instead they cook with butter, olive oil and I believe I think coconut oil as well. I got a gingerella and WOW tasted so addicting and it was balanced well with the hint of vanilla! I asked for a veggie stir fry with a salmon on top and the salmon was cooked just too well! Not too raw and not too overcooked it was easy to chew, soft and overall you could tell it was pure fresh right from the sea. You could tell the salmon lived a good life under the sea 🤣. I also got a cinnamon and apple cake and also a blueberry one and they are gluten free meaning they also dont use any of those bleached flours! The cakes WERE SO GOOD and rightfully filling! But right as I'm typing this I'm craving another one!!! My mum loved the apple and cinnamon one and its suprising because my mother usually doesn't like eating from outside! The workers were so kind, I came a bit late and they were closing but they were so generous to still serve me even when they were meant to be closing! You could tell they really care about feeding their customers wholesome gut-friendly food and care about when they are hungry aswell! The scenery was peaceful and quiet along with some tropical music but with no lyrics which I prefer that way! So much tropical plants and the store looked so alive that I felt right at home! Overall if your looking for a cafe that doesn't use any inflammatory oils, that really want to nurious their customers and they do not whatsoever use suger or bleached or chemical ingredients. They are the bestfriend to the gut health! I love eating here and my vacation is over so I will forever miss eating here!!!

A lovely little cozy cafe!! Lovely staff! Really cool latte art! We got a bunny and a Pegasus! The food was also amazing and they were very accommodating to gluten free options! Pretty much the whole menu can be made gluten free with some moderations. 😊 the lady who served us was very sweet and helped us move tables bc there were 6 of us and overall lovely service

Truly a 5 star+ experience for Buffet Breakfast at Citrique yesterday morning. Have been a number of times before and it just gets better and better. Food so fresh and tasty and beautifully displayed, and such variety. And service professional, warm and prompt. Love the detail of the décor eg Gluten Free signage incorporated into fixture. I had the pleasure of working for ITT Sheraton/Starwood/Marriott for the majority of my career, and I have had the privilege and enjoyment of experiencing many of the group’s hotels and brands over the years, and JW Marriott Gold Coast - and breakfast at Citrique - are definitely right up there amongst my faves. I love this hotel (which was transformed in 2020/2021 from a Marriott to the Luxury brand JW Marriott) and look forward to returning again and again.

First time to Milk Lane. Food was fantastic. Definitely recommend trying this place for a feed. Cocktails were awesome too. They also do gluten free buns.

I had an amazing experience at this cafe! The ladies were incredibly polite and attentive. I ordered a coffee & a gluten-free toastie and both were outstanding. The coffee was perfect and the toastie was not only delicious but also made with such care, given my gluten sensitivity. It did take a bit longer to prepare, but they were so considerate and explained the extra steps they took to ensure my sandwich was safe. To my surprise, they even refunded the cost of my sandwich due to the wait time, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. Their attention to detail and customer care truly made my visit special. I left feeling delighted and grateful—this cafe really went above and beyond! Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing. Our family has food allergies and the wait staff were very patient and chef amazing and willing to adjust the menu for us. GLUTEN FREE heaven for our kids with hot chips and an accomodating kitchen for other menu items. Wish we found this place earlier in our stay great wine list and sommelier to help you choose what kind of wine you like. We will be back.

1st I'm gluten free and the options were vast and I was so excited to have so much variety to choose from. 2nd the Service was lovely, 'Sid' served and helped us along with one of the chefs 👨‍🍳. Both were lovely. 3rd food was a good serve and was enjoyable. I'm going back tomorrow to eat something else on the menu 😋 Thankyou Highly recommend.

I’ve never been so impressed with a restaurants high quality service and consideration in terms of people with dietary needs or allergies. I am vegan and gluten free and was taken into consideration by the chef himself who altered dishes to suit my needs and brought them to me himself and had the courtesy to explain them. Majority of restaurants are unable to provide this so coming here tonight made my night and was very much a memorable experience. A big thank you to the chef and staff🙏❤️

Great venue the staff always so friendly we have been here for coffee in the morning and for drinks and dinner at night. Loads of gluten free options for my wife. It’s now one of our go to places to eat and drink when is surfers.

This is such a relaxed cafe with amazing food and large portions and most important large variety of GLUTEN FREE options so great for a coeliac! also excellent value for money! meals are presented well and really leave you feeling satisfied. staff are polite and food is quick. Ate here twice over our 3 days stay as it was a must return visit the second time!

We attended Akoya restaurant for a work dinner on 8th April 2024. With high hopes for an exquisite 5 star dining experience, we were sadly disappointed by what was (at best) a 3 star meal out. Without making this review painfully long, I will summarise by saying the service was absolutely NOT 5 star. Noone was at the front foyer to greet us on arrival, or show us to our table, let alone come to our table to offer us drinks, discuss menu, etc. We had to get out of our seats to call the wait staff over to us on more than one occasion. Although friendly enough when actually engaging with us, the wait staff were not properly trained for their roles it seemed, nor were there enough of them on duty. The food took ages to come out & did not come out at the same time. Most of our party did enjoy their meals (namely the red meat-eaters of the group), however the vegetarian/vegan & gluten-free options were woeful & not worth the price tag that came with them. One vegetarian colleague had a literal baked chunk of cauliflower served to them as a main & my off-menu gluten-free fish dish was average at best. Dishes were cleared whilst food was still on them & without asking if they could be taken. All in all, our experience was not that what it should have been for the money that was spent. 3 star experience for a 5 star price. Not worth it. Will sadly not be returning.

Came here late 45mins before breakfast shuts and would say was very impressed with the selection despite coming in late. Omelette was cooked to perfection and those poached eggs for service was 👌👌👌👌on point. Love the yogurt section with all the nuts/seeds and dried fruit. Chia seed was on point as well. Ran out of gluten free bread but it’s alright as there’s heaps of other options available. And surprised as there was congee which I usually find in Singapore brekkie buffet spread. Staff were on top of clearing and topping up the spread. I’d suggest this place if you want a garden brekkie vibe in the gc

High tea at Qt Hotel and the fixx cafe is a MUST! The style is Hesteresk delivered with eye for detail. Also with notice they do a totally gf plate as I'm celiac. This was no problem for them. Brilliant!!

Love this place. Delicious food and great service. Friendly and accommodating. They don't discriminate and welcome everyone. So glad we had lunch here. It's tucked away off the main drag. It's a hidden gem. When we walked in, a customer looked at us and said, "you'll get addicted. It's incredible". And they were right. Real French cuisine. It's undercover and air conditioned. So good in the heat of summer. Oh! and they do gluten free too. Forget the mainstream chain pancake places. Make this your go to.

We recently had drinks and finger food here for my husband's 50th after a restaurant lunch. From enquiry to event, exceptional service was provided and everyone had a great time. Authentic and delicious Japanese food with exceptional service. We popped in close to closing and they still welcomed us in. Our favourite was the sashimi which was perfectly prepared. Serving sizes were generous, particularly with the Bento or set meals. We ordered a gluten free meal which was altered without trouble. Wish we didn't live so far away!

Ordered through Uber Eats & had the most delicious Phos. They used excellent quality poached chicken & the gluten free noodles were cooked beautifully with fresh veg. The ability to order extra chicken as well as veggies was a great addition, phenomenal. Thank you team. Love your food 🍲
