Literally heaven for celiacs💞 they have a department dedicated only to gluten-free desserts, fresh desserts, of their own production, something that has never happened to me in a bar, where I usually find the usual packaged biscuits. I took the pasticciotto, a chocolate croissant and another sweet with Nutella and smarties, it was all delicious, truly exceptional. Furthermore, the owners, Danilo and Paola, are two ultra kind people, very cute, they even gave me a t-shirt as a gift, which was super appreciated 💕

I ate here with my family while we were on holiday in Polignano. We went to this restaurant, primarily, because it offers gluten-free options, given that I have celiac disease. In addition to a very nice environment and kind and knowledgeable staff regarding the cuisine and service of gluten-free products, we were able to enjoy some truly excellent dishes. I admit my lack, many years in Salento and only last night I was in this restaurant despite having 'passed over' dozens and dozens of times. Enchanting place, impeccable service with a smile, good food and a fair price. A detail that doesn't hurt if you are informed and prepared about allergens or intolerances (my wife has celiac disease)... several dishes are already gluten-free, then they have (packaged) SG bread and even fried SG fish (very good) in a dedicated fryer. Of course we will return.

Expensive for the type of food, fast-food type with a fish twist, the first course was tasty but the pasta was not al dente, for the same price you can eat the same well-cooked first course in a restaurant. The sandwiches were good, but they were also too expensive. Beautiful environment, very nice tuff room, clean and friendly staff. There is also something for celiacs

A beautiful discovery! I celebrated my graduation here. The owners are extraordinary and very kind people, they even prepared a cake for me at the last moment (requested for lunch that same evening). The appetizers left us speechless, due to the imagination of the dishes, the presentation and their goodness! The first courses have unique and truly high-level flavours. The ingredients are excellent. The mixed grill was also enjoyed by many guests. Furthermore, the natural wines offered on the menu are one better than the other. My sister who has celiac disease was so happy to be able to eat whatever was on the menu! Well done!!! I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice culinary trip!

Very nice and pleasant place. We took an appetizer with tartare and raw meats. Sea. I must say really good fish and excellent raw fish. The first ones to follow, however, were nothing special: calamarata risotto and tagliolini, all three tasteless. Then we had a normal fry in the center and some desserts. With 5 bottles of very good wine we paid approximately €80 each. Let's say that overall very good fish and gluten-free options although the main dishes were nothing special.

We had the beef pistachio tartare, gluten free orecchiette and the rabbit with pistachio panna cotta. I can’t complain about anything. It was the best dinner we’ve had in Italy thus far. I have now been a customer for over thirty years and I still remember when, as a child, the owner let me put the chair sideways to the wall of the wood-fired oven in winter to fall asleep in that warmth. Now the room has become much larger and has a vintage and creative decor that captures attention every time: historical photos, old peasant tools revisited, an ancient fireplace and a stove, plows and pitchforks (transformed into coats). Il piazzaiolo is an institution and makes delicious gluten-free pizza, fresh bread and traditional pucci. The meat is something unique and there is no shortage of homemade pittula and meatballs. The self-produced sausage is good, light and healthy. The house wine is always soft on the palate. Ancient atmosphere and dishes between traditional and modern, low prices compared to the quality of the products, always very clean environments and excellent service. If I've been going there for 30 years there must be a reason!

Family lunch March 2025 It was the first time I went to the Jaster club in Adelfia and I can say that it was a wonderful experience Location: beautiful place, with spaces distributed appropriately, stone on the walls, cross vaults, perfect lighting, soft at the right point. Staff: polite, attentive, kind staff, ready for every request from diners, and in numbers I believe are even greater than necessary; fast and with absolutely appropriate times, and therefore impeccable service, from the "oldest" to the "youngest" (or rather the youngest) Menu: the food and the choreography of the plating were excellent; bravo to the Chef. Very varied appetizers, well prepared also from a scenographic point of view, which satisfied everyone Perfect first courses, with excellent cooking levels of the pasta. Second course with an excellent cut, served with different degrees of cooking depending on the needs of the diners Scenographically well-composed fruit on the plates, very varied and of excellent quality Wines with a wide range of choices, recommended by the staff, indicated and detailed, but ultimately chosen by the guests. Note : nothing to complain about except highlighting the attention, I would say obsessive, of the staff in the service, considering that there were different types of diners: gluten intolerant lactose intolerant gluten and lactose intolerant intolerant to cured meats and sausages. Therefore diversified preparations on the same course, and where not possible, alternative course, with the prior consent of the diner. There was never a moment of uncertainty on the part of the staff about serving the right dish to the right diner, which is not everyone's experience. In my opinion, the price is not in line with what is offered, considering it lower than it should even be. Local: I recommend it to everyone, easy to get there from the SS.100 entering Adelfia, ten minutes from Bari, for lunches and dinners, family reunions, work meetings, cheerful evenings. Last and not least The Owner: I have known Mauro De Palo as a restaurateur for years now, since the days of the "Cannarute" in Piazza Ferrarese in Bari A character with years of career in catering behind him, but always projected forward for innovations, alternatives, marketing, strategies. A character always with the desire to interact with diners, learn suggestions, evaluate them and then draw the necessary consequences. A character always with the desire to "learn", to know everything, and not just what goes into catering, with a spirit of humility rare to find. A character always ready to dialogue with anyone, to follow suggestions and not only for his catering field, but at 360 degrees. A character always ready to meet the needs of customers, to get involved in the dining room at the service of his guest, who was, is, and will always remain sacred to him. Well done Mauro, continue like this, on the path taken, projected forward without ever considering yourself to have arrived, but only a good restaurateur looking for innovations to satisfy the customer in the wake of tradition. The music inside the venue was exclusively neo-melodic, completely out of keeping with expectations. Ventilation not received as the only visible fan was pointing into an area without people. Heat Disproportionate cost of dishes for really small portions. I can't even say I had a gourmet experience as the first one of the day was nothing special. The main problem, however, was the reactions of the staff. The waiter was quite sour in his answers from the start. We had all finished (or almost) eating and the person with celiac disease at our table had not yet received his dish. He expresses his concern several times to the waiter who always responds with the same unpleasant tone. The gluten-free pasta will have arrived at least 20-30 minutes after the others together with the owner who was keen to reiterate, in a polemical tone, that there had been no errors on their part. I understand that the job can be stressful, but this shouldn't be on the customer. Sometimes it is better to apologize than continue to justify yourself, especially once you have experienced that this only causes an opposite reaction.

Excellent pastry shop in the center of San Foca. Wide variety of pasticciotti and very good. The spectacular ice cream, with also the possibility of a gluten-free cone and some lactose-free flavours. Recommended for both breakfast and an afternoon break.
