This is a negative review directly related to how hot cross buns were being displayed & arranged. The buns were stacked on top of each other & squashed like pancakes. Like so many folks with celiac I have to eat GF otherwise suffer the consequences which can be very severe. I commented to the staff member running the till about the hot cross buns all being squashed & asked if there were any in the back that were not squashed. She blinked at me like a troll from Frozen with a completely lost & confused expression & whispered no.
Life is very expensive & this made me sad. I bought hot cross buns from a grocery store for the rest of my family and even those were sad in my eyes but they were not squished. Packaged in a recyclable box measuring 6.5cm in height.
I measured kinnikinnicks to find that at the highest point was just over 2cm!! That's not even an inch!! The highest point!
I know the person working the till is just staff likely being paid minimum wage (which is another hill to die on) but is it too much to ask for no squished hot cross buns!?!? I would ask that we all take a bit more pride in our jobs, no matter the job, & please be a bit more thoughtful. Can you please arrange baked goods in a way that will not ruin the product?
This is sad. If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed.
A must-visit gem with an awesome variety of unique treats and a dedicated gluten-free section, perfect for any craving or special occasion!

I got a lemon raspberry cake for a party it was perfect it fed all the people I needed to feed and it was absolutely delicious I would totally recommend and I'm actually holding myself back from going again and grabbing all their tasty looking treats. It feels like being in an actual bakery again instead of kinda being stuck with like very little variety. This place has tons they have donuts and eclairs all gluten free I love it plus staff is super nice.

We checked out the new location in Sherwood Park. It looks like they are getting everything figured out with the move, but still worth the drive to get the best gluten free baked goods!

An okay diner it feels kinda tight and is loud but the fact it's gluten friendly is a big plus and on top of that the food tastes absolutely amazing, which is hard without gluten. Coffee was not fun and it was super busy. Overall it's a cute place every once in awhile, though I don't think you'd want to make it a regular spot.

Came here with my hubby for dinner. We had the boston clam chowder to start gluten free and the gluten free haddock fish and chips. We both agreed it's the best gluten free fish we've ever had. We'll definitely come back and try the gluten free onion rings

Went to celebrate our mom’s legacy at her favourite restaurant! Ordered dinner for 6 plus 2 more ppl and added 2 dishes. Gluten free for a few of us! Fresh, hot, delivered to the large round table with smiles! Our famous hostess came and sang a “b day” song with us ! Owner gentleman took our pic outside! Wonderful green tea and wine selection…see them next year! Came from Okotoks to have dinner in Edmonton!

I'm so happy there's a place in Edmonton where I can eat a gluten-free donair! The wrap they use is good and holds-up well.
I didn't like how much sauce they put on the donair, but I will ask for less next time.
I am highly reactive to cross contamination of gluten and had no reaction.
The best part is that it was 1 am when I went there, and I did not think I would be able to eat out at that hour. It makes me so happy that there's a gluten-free option late on the weekends! Good job Prairie Donair!
Atmosphere was ok, just cold and a typical diner feel. Prices were fair.
With its calm vibe and generous portions, this place stands out for its extensive menu that caters to various dietary needs while delivering delicious flavors.

We ordered cupcakes and an 8 inch vanilla cake with chocolate icing on the inside. The cake and the cupcakes were stunning. Gluten free cakes/deserts aren't typically a favorite for those that don't have the dietary restrictions but everyone really enjoyed them!

We went out for dinner before a concert and I ordered their pesto rosso pasta. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to this. On my first bite I bit into a rock. Thankfully I didn't chip a tooth. The waiter apologized and ordered new food for me. Which was great, but I was disappointed in their actions after. They gave me 50% off my pasta dish and no manager came to speak to me. I felt like this incident could have been worse and the fact that no manager came to apologize wasn't the best customer service.

Visiting from Calgary and stopped by Remedy Café for their gluten-free options. The staff assured me food prep is safe for celiacs, with a separate prep area, toaster, and utensils. Tried the coconut chicken wrap on a GF wrap, Punjabi style — absolutely flavorful and filling. Saved half for later! Great experience and will definitely be back.
Shoutout to the server for being knowledgeable of gluten free practices and a stellar recommendation for my wrap!

I went to P.F. Chang's for the first time last month. I was alone because I was on a work trip. Even though this is a family style restaurant, I had the best time dining alone. The food was so good!! Liam, my server was so nice and helpful as it was my first time. I have celiac disease, this was no problem at all, I had quite a few options and all things I ate were delicious!
I highly recommend checking it out. I can't wait to go back with some friends.

Very lackluster as no real flavor in the sub I had (korean bbq). The gluten free bun my other half had was nice she said. Bun also didn't taste fresh on mine and not a lot of ingredients on it. Pop $2.25 not $1.50 as it says on the menu sign at the front. Its not that big a price deal but when I pointed it out it was dismissed.
That after they mistakenly tried to charge $4.00 for each pop. Bottom line is for the price it was not worth it for me so would not return.
Place was clean though.

I tried to call the manager and left him a message instead of writing this review because I truly just want them to do better. I’m sure the regular food there is fine however, the gluten-free sandwiches are disgusting. They’re so dried out. It’s unbelievable. My challenge to the manager would be to eat one without water and not choke. I’m paying an extra dollar for the gluten-free bread. I know you can buy promise gluten-free bread and it’s delicious and it is a fraction of the dollar surcharge for the gluten-free bread. if you’re gonna offer gluten-free please thank you as regular food and you wouldn’t eat it nor would I .
Do you have my number if you want me to remove my review and gladly will, I just wanted you to be aware of the problem.

We had the Tostadas de Tinga and the Enchiladas Clasicas with spicy verde. The tostadas were the best we ever had! Amazing flavour combinations, fresh ingredients and great portion size. The spicy verde sauce on the enchiladas is quite spicy and so is the Mexican rice but still delicious. The restaurant was able to accommodate a celiac and both dishes were gluten free.

100000% recommend The Taco Shop. Cass, was an amazing server. She recommend us some drinks that were probably rhe best margaritas I've ever had. EVER. Me and my husband are gluten free and dairy free, and we had soooo many options. They were really good at recommending their favorite dishes, and they did NOT disappoint. We will 100% be back for tacos and margaritas here. The vibe is so fun! Also, bathrooms are totally selfie worthy 🤣🤣

OEB Kitchen & Bar at Edmonton airport had gluten free options for breakfast. I had the traditional Benny with gluten free English muffin and canadian bacon. It was cooked right soft poached. I was not a big fan of the hollandaise but the overall dish was good. I was not confident it was gluten free due to the server bringing the food out and not identifying which meal was the gluten free. I had to ask. Prices quite high.$25 per person for breakfast is not something I will do again. I did not have steak and eggs 🤨

Ordered delivery so can’t speak to the experience when dining in, but this place has the best variety of dishes I’ve seen almost anywhere. We were able to try some things that we’ve never even heard of before and it was all AMAZING. Especially recommend the mango butter chicken and gluten free naan!
I do want to say how much I appreciated that, at least online, you’re able to choose your spice level and the dish descriptions are so clear about what’s in things. As a picky eater who can’t handle spice, this was a godsend and made for a great ordering experience. We’ll definitely be ordering again and maybe will even pop in to experience the buffet sometime.
Yes, the food is a little pricier than other places, but you’re paying for quality and the clear expertise of the chefs. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a step above the usual Indian fare.
In response to many of these other reviews - an added gratuity for parties of 8 or more is indeed extremely standard practice and should not be a surprise if you’ve ever eaten out as a group. It really is on the diner to ensure they’re aware of the restaurant’s gratuity policy before dining, and to make sure they are prepared to compensate their waitstaff fairly. Just my 2 cents.
With separate fryers and unique lentil-based crusts, this spot stands out for its exceptional attention to allergy-friendly options and quality.

If you're looking for quality customer service and delicious pizza, this is the place for you! This is the second time I've ordered from Sopranos pizza and again, they never disappoint. I ordered gf fries/gravy, a small pepperoni pizza for my dad on regular crust ( so light and crispy 😋) and a Hawaiian gf med pizza for my mother and I. Paul, the owner was super friendly and explained the gluten free options and the fact that they use separate fryers for gluten allergies 😁 this is amazing as most pizza places don't have separate fryers. Paul takes the gluten requests seriously. The gf pizza crust is made with lentils which is such a nice change from corn, rice or cauliflower crust. Also wanted to mention the thoughtfulness of him helping me with my order to my car. I've never experienced service like this anywhere. I will definitely be returning to try out their other many food options. Thanks again Paul, you made mine and my family's day 🙂

My family went out to the Keg for dinner tonight and it was beyond outstanding. I have been recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and discovered the Keg is a safe place for me to eat at.
Once we were seated, our waiter came by and greeted us, sharing the specials for the night. I informed him that I was Celiac, and he made sure to inform me of how serious they take all allergies and pointed out food I could have safely on their menu. Once we ordered, the manager came around to further speak with me and reassure me they were taking precautions to ensure my meal was safe. Even apologizing that their before dinner bread was not gluten-free.
Our meal came out quickly and was perfectly done and delicious. Our waiter kept our drinks full without interference with our conversation. Once we were done, he offered options for dessert that were safe for me to have and I greatly appreciated his care to this.
I will definitely go back and highly recommend the Keg for any special occasions or a nice treat meal out. The price was well worth it. The staff were amazing and we never felt rushed to leave. A very enjoyable evening out.

Tried the beet salad bowl and it really wasn't anything special. Was also quite expensive for just a salad with some beets and carrots. I found the tahini dressing that came with it a bit too bland and not enough dressing came with the salad either. The sandwiches sound good but unfortunately they don't carry gluten free options for those so I couldn't try one of those instead.

Amazing especially for a food court experience. I would give it 5 stars, but it says gluten friendly and I had a reaction to it immediately. I have a severe sensitivity though. It tastes great and the staff are very helpful otherwise.
It would be great if the Thai iced tea could be made with vegan milk instead of cream as I also have a dairy allergy.
I still recommend it for folks who don't have dietary restrictions!
