We decided to visit Victoria after finding several restaurants offering vegan food. Since Be Love is dedicated vegan and also gluten free, it was my first choice. However, there wasn't that many items on the menu to my taste, but since they promise seasonal items, I had hoped that there would be some pleasant surprises. The rest of my party decided to order organic red and white wines by the glass. I chose Earthblood Tonic juice made with carrot, beet, celery, kale and ginger. It was very refreshing and looked stunning. The Mac Bowl appealed to me because it claimed to have braising greens, seasonal vegetable, and broccoli. I was warned that the sauce contains garlic, but I took a chance hoping that it would be black garlic rather than fresh garlic. Fortunately, the garlic was hardly noticeable and I was not affected. It was a very rich dish and I loved the creamy taste of the sauce. The roasted hazel nuts were strange and tasted as though the vegetables still had soil/sand/grit. I was disappointed with the scant amount of greens and vegetables, and if I had known, I might have asked for extra vegetables. And of course, I could not finish it the macaroni. If it wasn't for the 'gritty texture' I would have rated this four stars. My friends ordered the daily special gluten free ravioli with nettle. They all loved it. We also shared a platter with flatbread, cashew cream cheese, apple & beet chutney. I was only able to have one item because the rest were heavy with garlic.

I booked a Mother’s Day dinner at The Table Bistro to celebrate my mom, and it was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional—and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Taylor. Taylor was friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely wonderful with my little one. She had fantastic recommendations and made us feel so well taken care of. Her attentiveness and warmth truly elevated our evening—she turned a lovely dinner into a true 5-star experience. My mom and I both have gluten allergies, and we were so impressed by the number of delicious, high-quality gluten-free options available. It’s rare to feel so confident and included when dining out, but The Table Bistro really delivered. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-tier. Really nice place to relax with a few drinks. Didn't have any food as we had just come from a café but we did get a flight and oh my god. I need to go back to get more if that blueberry basil. Until I do it will stay in my dreams, Highly recommend checking it out. They had indoor outdoor seating. Their menu had things marked as Gluten Free although since we didn't order im not sure if they have a designated fryer or not. Thankyou for the wonderful service staff, you were all so nice 😊

Great service, great ambiance. Make a reservation by phone early to get a table. The lounge takes walk ins but fills on busy nights. It's busy but still really good. For those not from the area, The Keg is a well-known mid-higher-end steakhouse chain with consistently good food and locations. Braxton is the most attentive server me and my friends have ever had, while somehow not seeming stressed or worried. They accommodated our requests for keeping gluten separate on so many things and a manager came out to make sure it was all planned and done okay. Thanks so much for a great night out with great food! The french onion soup never disappoints for the rich umami. Can also recommend the mushrooms neptune. Check out the dessert menu too. I always ask for it at the same time as the regular menu so I can plan my meals out. Next time I will get less savoury and leave room for a Billy Miner Pie of ice cream cake style (from memory). Cola was refillable, which I appreciate.

I will try again cause I've heard really great things. Unfortunately today's experience was not positive. 45 min to get water, 1 hr 10 to get food. 3 tables on patio, all of us several times had wrong food brought out and taken away. My lunch guest was celiac and did get hit with gluten. Chicken sandwiches were cold and not good. Must say the fries were absolutely amazing.

I love the food and vibe here. As a Celiac, I always order their Trifecta Rice Plate and have always been asked if I'm Celiac or have a gluten allergy, which is reassuring. My non-Celiac partner usually gets their banh mi and he loves them.

Love the location and atmosphere and the vegan milk options for coffee were appreciated. The vegan baked good were okay but I think the issue was they were also gluten free. Since some people are both vegan and gluten free, I know it is difficult for restaurants to maintain separate options but the vegan baked goods would probably have been better with gluten. I didn't have a meal but they also had a lot of vegan meal options which is appreciated. They also have vegan desserts to consider.

Amazing food, very friendly and accommodating service, and the vibe is incredible - especially when the band is in the house.I don't know what they put into the focaccia bread, but if go there and pay full pop for the bread alone. It's like pastry - a little crisp on the outside, delightfully fluffy inside, and the dusting of salt flakes...magic. When I say the food is amazing, I mean the food is AMAZING (the 'Sophia' is as tantalizingly delicious as its namesake). Extra points for the gluten free pasta option!

Celiac Review - this place was great! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful. Everything was very prompt. Our server Matthew was awesome! Three of us went, it's my second time dining out since my Celiac diagnosis and I was nervous, however, they went the extra mile to ensure everything was safe! I had the red thai curry with deep fried tofu, fried in a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and the London fog crème brulée for dessert. It was all very delicious. Huge thanks to Matthew and management for the wonderful service and for ensuring that I felt secure with the dining experience.

The gluten free treats were some of the best I've ever had. The first day I had a gluten free brownie bite and it was so delicious I went back the next day to have it again But alas! It was different treats! Luckily there was a gluten free carrot cake instead. It was delicious. Light and fluffy and so pretty! There were two gluten free breads to eat as well. The sourdough was amazing. The bun was crumbly and fell apart everywhere so I would recommend not getting it. The service was also excellent. Very kind and friendly staff :)

Not celiac friendly. Last time I was here a month ago. I was told there is good chance of cross contamination on all good. The drier even though should be gf is beside food that is not gluten free and they cannot guarantee that non-gf food was not put in it. Server was NOT gluten aware and just said I probably shouldn’t eat anything.

Great restaurant! Servers and hosts are all very friendly, kind and welcoming. Food was great and the Zero proof beverages were refreshing with a nice decoration :) They have variety of entrees as well, my favorite was definitely the Avocado dip which was sooo flavorful!!! They have many main dish options, vegetarian and vegan. I believe they have gluten free options as well which is awesome! The place itself was beautiful, really cozy but also fancy. If you have celiac disease - this is a safe space. It’s difficult to find restaurants that make it possible for my daughter to eat in Vernon. Cactus has GF fryers and safe handling. We have not had any issues with cross contamination here. The staff is super friendly and the food is great! It’s our go to as a family.

Decided on a whim to try this place while visiting my mom. Mom is in a wheelchair and requires allergy-friendly options. We were pleasantly surprised to find several allergy-friendly foods including fries, which are fried in a separate fryer from seafood and also separate for gluten-free dishes. Our server, Julie was fantastic and had great recommendations. Highly recommended! Ps. Try the Wagyu Beef Ravioli! Delicious.

Great place for those with celiac disease or a gluten allergy. I received GF bread and many of the dishes are or can be made GF. They have GF appetizers, pasta, risotto and GF dessert. The service was great.

As Vancouver locals we love returning to Anh and Chi. The food is always delicious as is the atmosphere. Felt compelled to write a review this time to commend Nico on his exceptional service. He is extremely thorough, attentive, knows the menu inside and out and was never flustered despite the busy restaurant. My partner is celiac and Nico was able to walk through suggestions in every category of the menu even explaining how the dishes are prepared (washing the wok during the prep, etc) and suitable substitutions if required. It’s hard to come by service like this in Vancouver, so we appreciated it! Thank you! We will happily continue to return and bring others with us.

Spending a weekend in Campbell river and needed to find a good restaurant that also had gluten-free options. This was an unexpected gem with an unassuming shopfront on the highway, but once we went inside it was a warm and welcoming place with a lot of charm. The food was extremely fresh and lots of choice for our gluten-free companion - dishes that were naturally gluten-free and those that could be made gluten-free on request. Our server was very friendly and helpful and our food delicious - extremely large pizzas, so unless you are hungry, one will easily feed two people!

We come to the Keg often to celebrate birthdays but Sina definitely went the extra mile during this visit to make sure my mom’s food was celiac safe! It made all the difference to make sure she could enjoy her food during this birthday celebration. Hope we get him as a server again and the food was all delicious of course! I had the pleasure of dining at Zarak for the first time in July with a group of five people, each of us with different dietary restrictions – gluten-free, dairy-free, coconut-free, and vegetarian. While I initially felt overwhelmed by the menu, our server, Sanmeet, turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless and enjoyable experience. She took the time to carefully listen to our restrictions and, in less than a minute, curated the perfect menu for us, ensuring we could enjoy our time together without worrying about what to order. Her recommendations were spot on, and the variety of cocktails was equally impressive! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the entire team made us feel welcome and cared for. The level of attentiveness was beyond compare. One detail that stood out to me was how the staff intuitively timed their service – they approached us only during natural pauses in our conversations, which I deeply appreciated. At one point, I needed a napkin, and just as I was about to ask, one of the staff members approached me, and it felt like they had read my mind. It’s those small details that really made the experience special. Now, the food was incredible, but what made the evening truly unforgettable was the exceptional level of customer service. Towards the end of the night, everyone except me ordered dessert because I couldn’t find anything on the menu that was both dairy-free and coconut-free, which I was fine with. Sanmeet noticed and immediately went above and beyond to accommodate me. Within minutes, she brought out a delicious pistachio gelato, which had no gluten, coconut, or dairy – and it was on the house! That thoughtful gesture spoke volumes about her dedication to making sure everyone had a wonderful time. What’s even more impressive is that when my partner and I returned to Zarak a month and a half later for drinks and dinner, Sanmeet remembered us. The genuine smile on her face when I greeted her by name made it clear that this restaurant isn’t just about serving great food – it’s about creating lasting relationships with their guests. Sanmeet’s warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for her guests left an incredible impression on me, and I’ve been raving about Zarak to everyone I know. If you ever visit, I highly recommend asking for her – she truly made our dining experience unforgettable. I look forward to returning again and again!

Went there to celebrate with a group of 5 people. The wait staff were very friendly, I was greeted by each server I passed as I came in. The servers were always nearby to assist when needed and the owner was walking throughout the restaurant helping to attend to each table. The service was a 10/10 and noticeably better than most restaurants. The food was incredible and so flavourful. We ordered most of not all the appetizers to share and they were amazing. We had a vegetarian in our group and there were plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. They also had a variety of gluten free and dairy free options too. I will definitely be returning to try their entrees. The lamb popsicles are what I have my eye on for next time. They also had an extensive drink list which included a good variety of non alcoholic options too. Are the prices high? a bit but food costs have increased and most restaurants have had to adjust their prices for this reason. For the experience and the value of the dishes, it’s reasonable. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and dimly lit. We all enjoyed our time there and I will definitely be going back again soon!

Our turbulent first night in Vancouver with hotel issues was saved by the Cactus Club Cafe. We missed our booking due to the issues, but we were helped by great staff who told us we could sit at the bar to eat. The bartenders were amazing, the drinks excellent and the food was amazing with great options for vegan and gluten free. Highly recommended.
