Great coffee. Sat outside in the sun. We had a hashbrown stack with added halloumi, and a big brekkie with gluten free bread. Fuelled us for our hike later that day. It was delicious and highly recommend.
This cozy spot has a great atmosphere, speedy service, and a deliciously messy burger that’s well worth the visit!

Came by here post-hiking trip to try the Eat Me burger on a gluten free bun. Oh my goodness! It's a bit messy to eat as it's so packed with good stuff, but so yummy. Well worth the price. The place is cute too, with good atmosphere, great service, and a speedy kitchen.
Expect a lively atmosphere with a deliciously diverse menu and a fantastic selection of local drinks—definitely book ahead!

Lovely dinner at The Fat Duck. Do recommend booking in for a seat. Service was friendly and food was very tasty. Lots of gluten free and dairy free options.
Expect a welcoming vibe with attentive service, a lively atmosphere, and a nice selection of drinks to enjoy while you wait for your table.

Food is okay.
Fryer is not suitable for coeliacs (despite steak) etc being listed as gf.
They will offer substitutes etc but maybe look into changing this? Items may be gf by ingredient but you shouldn't be labeling them as this if you put everything into the same fryer (worked hospo for years - it's not hard to differentiate and train staff on). You could make someone seriously sick. Clear labeling provides comfort for everyone.
Overall a good place for a bite but the service is also very rushed.
A hidden gem in Te Anua that caters to various dietary needs, making it a rare find in small towns.

Catered very well for Gluten Free and Dairy Free, the same as any other Thai restaurant does. Sadly though, they have no gluten free soy sauce so the meal was VERY bland.
Strongly suggest you buy some GF soy sauce. Your customers will appreciate it. :-)
Poor experience, waited from 7:30pm for a table and got seated at 8:30pm. Food didn’t come out till nearly 10pm. Chips on the menu say they were gluten free, then the waiter said they weren’t actually. No dairy free options either. The waiter was really condescending and rude after asking about gluten and dairy free options. The whole experience was rushed
I know that after so many great reviews, it's hard to believe such a poor one, but I can't understand all the good reviews. Our experience was very different. We ordered the gluten-free base, but that wasn't the issue. TBH, that was the best bit of the pizza. The toppings were different colours, but that's where the difference ended. The pineapple tasted like the peppers, which tasted like the mushrooms, which even tasted like the olives. And the cheese was stringy but also tasteless. The wine was cheap. Only $8. I don't know why I was surprised that it was dreadful. What on earth did I expect? The decor was dated, but at least we got a seat (which was comfy) and the meal (2x GF pizzas, 2x wine, 1x salad) cost $66. What a shame it wasn't slightly more expensive - I'd have happily paid more for a better meal. Sadly, a fresh batch of tourists roll into town daily and they want to eat pizza. They see La Toscana has good reviews. But, if you arevone of these tourists and only have one night in Te Anau, do yourself a favour and try a different restaurant. I wish I had. The guy who said he'd had better pizzas from Tesco was absolutely correct.
Step into this cozy spot for a surprising blend of pub vibes and gourmet dishes, where the service is as memorable as the food!

What a pleasant surprise. By far the best dining experience we have had in our 2 week stay in New Zealand. I had the Rib Eye and it was cooked to perfection and served with vegetables and accompaniments (so no need to seperately order and pay for sides as many restaurants annoyingly do these days) Portion size was generous. My partner had the Salmon and was equally happy with her meal.
The wine we drank perfectly complimented our meals and we could not fault the service or the atmosphere.
On another note as a coeliac they catered well for my dietary requirements.
Well done and keep up the great work.
Experience a standout spot in NZ, known for its incredible coffee and baked treats that exceed expectations every time!

Came here wondering if this is really a “5-star” restaurant, and turned out to be even better. Best gluten-free choco muffin I have tried, and certainly the best flat white in NZ. Highly recommended!!!
