Where do I start with these people…no flavor, no care to the order, no listening skills. My girlfriend placed an order for gluten free noodles, they repeated that it is GLUTEN FREE multiple times and yet it still wasn’t actually gluten free. This is our second time by the way ever being here and the second time this has happened here. Do not go here if you have any kind of gluten intolerance, they will not care.
Expect a vibrant atmosphere with a creative menu featuring fresh, flavorful dishes and a variety of unique options for all preferences.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I live pretty close but I rarely go to Amherst because it gets very busy when the colleges are in session. But this past weekend we had some houseguests and needed to find a restaurant that had vegan options and gluten free options. Fresh Side had something for everyone and our waitress was super friendly and brought over a treat that was both gluten free and vegan for us all to try. I had some delicious vegetable fried rice and my partner enjoyed his Pho with chicken instead of beef. I also got delicious green tea made with roasted rice. Our guests were happy with their food as well.
I will definitely keep Fresh Side in mind when we are wanting some more pan Asian foods.
I did enjoy this place. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. The police was clean and well-lit. The menu was surprisingly diverse and large. Service was awesome with friendly Happy People serving you. My big complaint was it seems to be quite expensive. Especially for a college town. The coffee was pretty good! And they have a gluten-free selection that wasn't awesome but wasn't bad either.
Great atmosphere and accommodating vibe make this spot a must-visit, perfect for those with food preferences or restrictions.

I haven't been to this spot since it was Pinocchio's, so it has been a while. At Johnny's we had great food. They were very accommodating to our group's food allergies and we were pleased to see gluten-free pasta options or alternatives. We'll be back!
A family-friendly spot known for its outstanding selection and fresh ingredients, perfect for gatherings and special requests.

The gluten free pizza is so good! I haven’t been able to find any other local pizza places that can even compare. I also love the salads, they’re always super fresh and delicious!

I love this Ginger Garden because I am gluten-free (allergic to wheat) and this is the only place around that can adjust their menu making for my allergy. The food is great, service friendly. However, the last time I ordered, I definitely got sick from wheat. I didn't call back to confirm the staff wrote down my allergy that I very clearly told them of. So I don't know if this was a clerical error in order taking, or if there was a mistake in the kitchen. Food is great but if you are gluten free, be very clear and follow up to confirm. Don't take yes as an answer because I did and I was definitely poisoned and unable to eat my food last time I went. I am still giving them a 5 stars because they have been great every other time. But I will be taking my own advice and making every dish be double checked with the kitchen to make sure it is gluten free. I want to continue loving this place.

Loved that their fryer is Gluten Free! Had the GF fish and chips and tried my husband's fried chicken tenders. Both were great! Also really enjoyed the beet and arugula salad with roasted pecans. We ate on the nice outdoor deck!

I’ve been coming to Share Coffee in Amherst since they open! Love the Baristas , the Espresso, the gluten free baked goods and the Matcha….
Did I say Matcha… well, here is where things got weird. I make matcha at home, and I use the traditional Chasen (the matcha wisk) to mix and foam this delicious japanese green tea.
Today I see my lovely Barista putting the matcha powder into an OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing Shaker (!!!) she proceeded to vigorously shake the green liquid… the result: a clumpy mess where half of the mixture stayed stuck to the walls of the SALAD dressing container. Who’s idea was to change the way they mix my matchas?
Please bring the whisks back and stop this non-sense!
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the valley. The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. The staff is very attentive and the place is spotless. They are also gluten friendly and while they don't have a separate GF menu, they will prepare dishes GF if they can.
With outstanding pork carnitas and consistent delicious meals, this spot is a must-visit for great vibes and varied menu options.

Fantastic food and even better people! Our daughter went to Umass and brought us here as she absolutely loves it. We've been back several times and have had delicious meals and great service each time. I highly recommend the pork carnitas, which is outstanding. Vegan and gluten free options are always available and the friendly staff ensures you get exactly what you want. 10/10

El Comalito is a great spot for delicious Mexican food. I had the Birria burrito and it was excellent—full of flavor and really satisfying. One thing that stood out was how many gluten-free options they offer. My wife had the gluten-free steak tacos and loved them. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Heck yeah! Vegan AND gluten-free apple cider doughnuts!!!! And their mocha hot coffee is great. Chocolate and rich and perfectly sweet.
And I love that they advocate for animals, like the monkeys being tortured in labs at UMass. 😭
This is our favorite spot in Amherst, the atmosphere is so relaxed and the food is better than most places in Boston! Even the music is excellent. They have gluten free bread you can order to go with the tapenade too. Definitely a hidden gem!
Nestled in charming Amherst, this spot offers a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere with unique indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for gatherings.

We planned a summer wedding with 15 guests, just immediate family.
Our ceremony was held at Abbey Chapel in South Hadley MA. We were looking to have dinner after the ceremony and photography. So a 4pm dinner on a Sunday.
My friend and I began at the Chapel, walking in and out of restaurants just to get a feel for the atmosphere, the mood, the vibe and take a peek at menus.
We had spent the evening walking in and out of about 5 restaurants. So many were not open on Sundays or the vibe was just off, or the food was just basic.
I felt discouraged.
We googled one more restaurant for the night before we almost gave up.
I felt like 30Boltwood was the place just from driving up to the location before we walked into the restaurant.
It is located in picturesque Amherst, across from the center green.
There was a moody outdoor fire pit outside, outdoor seating, a rooftop deck....
But best of all a private room perfect for about 15 adults for dinner.
The menu is farm to table and changes based on what is available, it doesn't get much better than that.
It was not too too fancy for our simple wedding but quality food and a beautiful location.
My now, Husband commented that it felt it was homey.
The staff created a 3 course menu for our event specifically, since we were over the normal dinner party size, to use the regular dining menu.
The menu had Gluten Free options and V/Veg options, which is reason we decided on this location, so everyone could find something to enjoy.
There was space between the courses, which helped us to slow down and enjoy the moment more. I didn't feel we were in the way or a burden, the vibe was more like this space is yours. The staff was not rushing us out the door, they wanted us to stay.
We really enjoyed ourselves.
Our reservation was at 4pm on a Sunday in July, and I think we were there about 4 hours.
The room has the vibe of a green house, with one wall and part of the ceiling made out of glass. There were curtains to provide shade in case of sun, so I didn't feel like we would melt or be cooked. The windows looked out onto a deck.
It was a beautiful environment.
The food was so delicious, it felt fancy and special and most importantly fresh. The food was served hot (I have been to weddings where the food was cold...in contrast).
The staff was professional, they were patient with us, as well as kind and thoughtful.
We brought in an outside cake from Auntie Cathy's Kitchen, Agawam MA, so it could be Gluten Free & V. The waitstaff was so thoughtful and asked if we wanted to do a little cake cutting moment. So we did a faux cake cutting for fun. The staff then actually cut the cake and served it to everyone.
This was a detail I had missed and I was thankful for their thoughtfulness in giving us the gentle nudge that this was available to us.
I had dropped off the cake on Friday for safe keeping, I was thrilled that the cake would be in a safe location, and not melt in my car during the ceremony. I felt it was in good hands.
The waitstaff was never "lurking" but they were so observant and gave us space to be a family. They were professionals and clearly had experience and were very knowledgeable, on the menu.
The room was separate from the bar, which was helpful for a member of our party is sober. They had mocktails which makes everyone feel included.
Overall 10/10 for a micro mini wedding experience. It was an easy choice, based solely on a vibe check of walking in and out of restaurants. I had never been there before and I am so glad we made reservations here.
Dietary restrictions: One of the reasons we selected this restaurant was the fact that they had V/Veg and Gluten Free items on the menu to accommodate different restrictions.
Parking: We visited on a Sunday and the sign said Free Parking on Sundays, so our guests parked on the street in front of the restaurant
A perfect spot for a chill night with great vibes, unique flavors, and a menu that caters to diverse preferences.

Came here for the first time last night for my birthday with my family. I wanted something fun, but also easeful and low key, so we came early, at 5:30 (it was a Saturday night). It was just perfect. Our server, Isaac, was lovely and attentive. None of us were drinking alcohol, but he helped us by offering a refreshing mango-seltzer option. The food was delicious — everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals. Corn tortillas were warm and soft, and the beans and rice that comes with every meal were the best I’ve had in a long time. Three of us are gluten free, and there’s plenty to choose from on the menu. All in all, a great meal - I highly recommend this place.
Experience a warm welcome and quality vibes with a diverse menu that's hard to resist, perfect for a cozy hangout.

First visit. prompt friendly greeting, patient service (it took us a while to decide; many good choices), excellent quality food and coffee. Highly recommend the Fall Fest Latte and the grilled veggie pesto sandwich on gluten-free bread. We’ll definitely return. Thank you!
First time there and will definitely be going back. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We both had the Tokyo classic ramen. There are plenty of gluten free options - although the menu doesn't specify, the recipes can be modified so they are.

Great tasting cookies. A lot of options. They have vegan options and a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie only one gluten-free cookie .. A little pricey. 3$ for a regular sized cookie. And 5 for a slightly bigger one. In a nice town where you can get something to eat and then go there after for a cooking…… The ice cream is also good….. Been here several times to try it out. It’s worth it every once in a while…..

I love the dish Liang Pi. Ive been sad because I can only ever seem to get it in larger cities or cities with a Chinatown. My friend asked if I wanted to go and when I looked at the menu I got super psyched! They had Liang Pi, although they just titled it differently then I was used to. I will definitely be back as its a favorite dish of mine and I get cravings for those delicious noodles and wheat gluten!
One of my co-workers recently recommended Panda East (particularly the Szechaun menu) and I'm so glad he did! My housemates and I all got takeout there last night. The online ordering option was easy, they had no problem making a dish gluten free for housemate with celiac, and the food was delicious (and very reasonably priced -- you can get 15 dumplings for under $8!). It's not always easy finding something that makes everyone in our house excited about the food they got, and Panda East did a great job.

We visited for an early dinner on a Sunday and were seated immediately in a cozy booth (love the half-moon booths!). We started with the Buffalo Chicken dip - tasty and cheesy, but definitely a sharing dish. I ordered the chili mango margarita, which was pleasantly spicy but still refreshing. For the entrees, my mom ordered the fish and chips, which was moist, flaky and lightly breaded (quite a feat since the fillet was around 10 inches long!) I ordered the tamale bowl (gluten-free) which I enjoyed but should've asked for hot sauce or extra salsa on the side (personal preference). Our server Noah was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous,
and went out of his way to ensure my choices were gluten-free.
We are definitely going back, since we joined the rewards program and already earned $5 on our first visit! Can't wait to try the gluten free pizza, and all of the other fun cocktails!
Very quick, good quality pizza. My department at UMAss Amherst ordered a several-hundred dollar order for an event. We placed it about a month before, and it worked out great! They also have a gluten-free crust.
I got to try their first gluten free crust and first off it was amazing, right behind my dorms and amazing customer service definitely going to be poppin this year!!! will be back soon!
Wow! I had heard that UMass Amherst had the best-ranking campus dining food, but I didn't expect it to be this good! Aside from the obvious appeal of the all-you-can-eat buffet and the very reasonable $14.50 per person price tag for outsiders and visitors, the Hampshire DC provides countless options for diners of all stripes, from the omnivore to the gluten-free, and the pescatarian to the vegan. I had a hard time deciding what to eat because everything looked so good. What I ate was amazing! The winter melon noodle soup with pork ribs was delicious, as was the sauteed Chinese broccoli. The spicy tuna roll in the sushi station was made to order, and it tasted fresh and very flavorful. The baked white fish was tender and succulent, as was the stuffed portabella mushroom. Fresh-squeezed apple juice, chai latte, and berry smoothies pleasantly accompanied my meal. In fact, the food was so yummy, I had to go back the next evening for dinner again! This time, I had ramen noodle soup with sliced pork, sauteed yu choy, polenta with quinoa, assorted stir fry entrees, a shrimp roll at the sushi station, Salisbury steak with creamy mashed potatoes, pan-seared potatoes, and wild mushrooms with balsamic vinegar. Everything was just so satisfyingly filling and savory. Topping the extravagant meal with dessert added to its delight; chocolate bread pudding and blueberry peach crumble more than satiated my appetite! Time to fast now and recover from such a wonderful feast! 😊
Had a yummy dinner tonight. Loved our waiter, the atmosphere, and the food. They have gluten free options which is appreciated. Chili Nogada was excellent. They are now offering BYOB.
