Our server was excellent, very attentive and kind also funny and engaging. Everyone went above and beyond to get us a perfect seat for our night out. My wife is celiac and it is very hard to find a place that she can safely eat at and has excellent food and Service. This place is hard to beat in Canmore. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially with allergies.
Uodate: Received a call from the owner. Discussed the circumstances that led to my review. She advised it was a new menu and staff were not quite familiar with it yet. She has since spoken to her staff and will work on providing better information to future customers with food challenges. Although they lost me as a customer, they have completely reimbursed the amount of the bill. These folks went above and beyond in my opinion.
Terrible experience, poor food , over priced. I explained to the server I had food challenges and asked what would be open for me to eat. She provided only a few choices, one of which had cheese in it, so I was pretty wary. I ended up ordering the capacious. After one bite I did not like it and put the plate to the side. The texture was off, it felt slimy in my mouth. When she picked up the plate I explained I did not like it. Yes a few minutes later someone else came and said they could accommodate anything in the menu? Why was that not explained in the first place? At that point I declined. I did not realize my dinner companion still had a dish to come, not wanting my companion to feel awkward about eating while I had nothing, I requested fries, they were good thus the 1 star. When the bill icame i was shocked to see they not only did not take the carpacio off the bill I also got charged for the dry unappetizing gluten free bread? There was supposed to be garlic bread with the carpacio. In all my years as a server if someone did not like the food after one bite, you innediately removed it from the bill. Not here. Very poor quality, over priced food. An establishment more interested in making the $$ at any expense rather than building return clientele. Not recommended.
This cozy spot offers a nice menu, delightful desserts, and a chill vibe, making it a great pre-show hangout.

A Celiac Foodie's Dream! The food here is outstanding - chef Joseph goes above and beyond. It is such a treat to have delicious, local, farm-to-table style dishes that are also created with a knowledgeable kitchen and staff. Indoor/Outdoor dining is a definite plus and the ambiance is great. I regularly crave the Poutines and the GF Brownie, although every item here is a hit.
Weekend brunch offers a small but innovative selection, but quality and value seem to be slipping lately.

Went for the weekend brunch several times. Smaller selection but higher quality and more innovative. You can also order customized bennies for vegetarian or gluten free needs. Recommended. Downgraded from 5 star to 4 star - food no longer as good and price is high.
Cozy vibe with a charming patio featuring a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a great menu with friends.

Huge variety including lots of gluten free.
Husband had the almond croissant, said it was the best he's ever had.
I had the almond orange cake which was the best gluten free cake I have ever had.
I had a latte, husband had a cappuccino, both were incredible.
We sat in on a rainy day and it was absolutely magical. Can't wait to go back and sit on the patio when it's not raining.
The service here was outstanding!! The food was delicious as well. My husband is celiac and there were plenty of options. Definitely a great place for a date night.
Expect a delightful experience with exceptional flavors in a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a unique dining adventure.

Celiac safe! Exceptional food paired with excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. One of their wait staff has Celiac, so this is a beyond pleasurable experience. Majority of their menu can be adapted for truly gluten free dining without sacrificing the quality or unique pairings of flavours. Highly recommended!
I had the Arctic char with shrimp. It was made gluten free and instead of the cream sauce, the sauce was olive oil with tomatoes and capers! Absolutely, absolutely delicious!!
Cozy and inviting, this charming spot offers plenty of options while exuding a warm atmosphere, but be ready for stairs!

Lovely, cozy, and welcoming. As someone with celiac I was delighted with their knowledge about gluten and cross contamination. There were many options available for me and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The only negative about La Petite Iza is it is not accessible for anyone with mobility challenges as access is restricted to stairs and the cozy space is living up to the part of being petite.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with stunning patio vibes, remarkable cocktails, and attentive service making every visit special.

Food was mediocre, service is terrible. Even though our waitress was lovely, management is garbage. The waitress felt really bad and embarrassed.
What I ordered:
1. Escargot: it was good, but nothing amazing… it was an average garlic butter. Probably the tiniest escargot I’ve ever had. It comes with a side or bread… I’m celiac and the waitress offered to replace for GF bread. They gave me a slice of toast and then they charged me $5 for it, without any notice. Yes, $5 for a slice of thin toast, I’m pretty sure it was the PC brand one that I buy a Superstore.
2. French onion soup, small size. Tasted good, again nothing mind blowing. But beware, this is not a small size, it is a miniature size. The bowl is probably 2 inches in diameter.
3. Deviled egg, which they forgot about and I had to re-order. It is not a deviled egg, it’s HALF an egg. This was terrible, very salty and very dry.
3. Dark chocolate crème brûlée: they are quite small, about an inch wide in diameter and it didn’t taste like a crème brûlée at all, just a plain custard.
- if you want a lime wedge for your water they charge 50 cents. They also have a policy of no phone-calls.
I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was tiny and cramped, also hot in there. Parking sucks and the food is not worth the hazle nor the arrogance of this place. Will not go back.
There are so many other tapas-style places were the food is much superior, like Bodega for instance. For French food, even The Creperie is better.
