The food is so good!! I went with a friend and we got the peanut stew, bean stew and rice, akasa, and the fufu. It was my first time having fufu I loved it!! Tastes similar to mashed potatoes, next time I go I’ll get that with the peanut stew, they went together so well. My friend is vegan and gluten free and hates having to be the picky one asking questions, but the server was super polite and answered all the questions we had about the ingredients. They have enough vegan and gluten free options to satisfy that crowd, even though they don’t advertise it. My only suggestion would be to add vegan/gluten free symbols to the menu so people don’t have to ask, or worse, not order y’all’s delicious food bc they aren’t sure and don’t want to ask! Already craving another peanut stew and fufu!!! Thank you!!

Everything was perfect. I got the gemelli pasta and my husband got their gluten-free pizza. Both were spectacular! It’s so rare to find a place with a gluten-free pizza crust that’s actually amazing so we are so happy to have found this spot.

Not great for people with serious gluten intolerance due to cross-contamination risks. There was some effort made to bake the pizza in a separate tray but it was still contaminated and I got really sick

Do yourself a favor and experience one of the best Latin food restaurants I’ve been to. It’s truly authentic Cuban. Yes it’s in Detroit. Don’t let that dissuade you. They are great for gluten free options as well.

This established brunch place was unusually not busy early one winter weekend at the original downtown Detroit location. My vegetarian omelet was a decent but my friend raved about her gluten free eggs benedict. Service was good and fast. It was quite a bit busier when we left. I was lucky enough to find a street space but there are plenty of lots and garages within 5 minutes walking

Came in to order takeout for lunch yesterday— Molly killed it! She had to balance the floor (which had a 40+ party in one room alone), the bar, AND takeout. Food was well worth the wait; as a plus, the gluten-free substitutes were high quality.

Came here with a friend on Saturday. I had one mocktail called a ‘Spa Water’ and one cocktail called ‘Buddy Buddy.’ Both were excellent. A friend and I shared brussel sprouts and a half chicken. Food was good. The flavors were subtle, but the food was well-made. They were patient with me and accommodated my gluten allergy. We were served at the bar and the bartender gave great service. Will likely come back 😁

Thoughtfully curated menu with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Great for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The space is bright and filled with natural light, thanks to its corner location and large windows. The ambiance is enhanced by good music, and everything is kept clean, tidy, and spotless. There’s also a charming little shop inside, offering unique finds like books, oils, coffee, artisanal foods and curious articles. Laptops are welcome, making it a perfect spot to work, read, write, or simply catch up with friends over a meal or a cup of coffee. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the overall warmth and positive vibe of the place. I would definitely come back!

This place offers gluten free options that are not gluten free :) I have celiac disease and had told the cashier that. He told me he didn’t know what that was (concerning, but can understand not everyone knows), so i explained. He said it shouldn’t be a problem and that he would tell the cooks in the back. After eating all my food i immediately felt sick and threw up everything i had eaten.

Atmosphere was amazing, such a cool place. Unfortunately my filet was WAY overcooked, shells in the lobster bisque, and cocktails were all sickly sweet. Still a good experience but for such an amazing location I would hope for a better dining experience. Also some confusion about gluten free options which left me nervous as someone with Celiac but luckily I ate the filet, bisque, and Panna Cotta and was fine after.

Love the Lager House, Sam is an awesome bartender and the food selection is uniquely extensive for the area. I highly recommend the crispy tofu! They also have gluten free and vegan options

Their menu highlights fresh & in season items that are locally sourced (huge win in my book), and they have something for all of my friends with various dietary considerations. Gluten free? I have brought friends here again and again simply because 1) I know they're not going to get this same experience anywhere else 2) I know they'll love the food 3) it gives me an excuse to come back The chef & staff really makes you feel like you're at their home and you're an esteemed guest! Sicily’s Pizzeria & Subs exudes a charming, nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of classic pizzerias. As my Uber driver noted, “That place has been here forever. I remember coming here as a kid. Great pizza!” His sentiment held true. While it may not be the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had, I genuinely enjoyed it. I opted for the Meat Lovers pizza on a gluten-free crust, and it was both satisfying and flavorful. The establishment operates on a self-service model: orders are placed at the counter, and food is delivered to your table when ready. This setup complements the relaxed and inviting atmosphere. This experience was awesome! We made it to the restaurant just before the kitchen closed. We were on a deadline ourselves because our daughter has Type 1 diabetes and a gluten allergy, which makes dining out very complicated. Our server, Brandon, was on top of it. He was able to get out food order in before the cutoff time, with crazy dietary restrictions to contend with. Did I mention that it was also my daughter's birthday? He made sure my daughter got her birthday (gluten free) desert, and he even sang happy birthday to her. It was the perfect ending to such a special day for a special little girl! Added bonuses... live music, a birthday dance, GREAT food, and the most beautiful views of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario!

This was our first time here and Wow! It truly is the best pizza in town! We ordered the Shields Super Pizza. The crust was amazing (crunchy with great tase), the cheese was perfect! Thank you! I then found out that they have Gluten-Free crusts & Vegan cheese! That's Awesomely Rare! We'll definitely be back!

SheWolf is an amazing experience from start to finish. Service 5/5 - The staff promptly greeted us at the door, we were a bit early so they asked if we would like a drink while we waited. They have a nice standing area to put your jackets and a place to put your drinks while you wait. After a few minutes we had drinks in hand and enjoying the night. Once we were sat (at the bar) the bar tender explained the menu extensively to my fiancé who is gluten free, and my god did they have a lot of options! You could tell every staff member was well versed in the offerings and their passion was seen throughout the entire experience. Drinks 4/5 - Overall we loved our drinks, I had a few off menu cocktails and my fiancé had champagne and wine, I feel like SheWolf isnt fully utilizing their skilled bartenders with a very small cocktail menu. I think they could push a little here and it would make it 5/5. Food 5/5 - Literally every dish was just the right portion, and seasoned to perfection. We were able to share an app, both had Pasta, and Fiancé was amazed how good their gluten free pasta was. Dessert was also amazing. What we loved is we felt great after having all these dishes. Could I of eaten more? Yes! But I prefer exactly how they do it because now I just want to go back :D ! Overall, the vibe of the restaurant is great, you can feel the passion with the staff members, and an excellent date night. Easy on-site parking, and close enough to downtown you could drive a few minutes to have a night out after an amazing dinner. We WILL be back!

Very safe for celiacs needing to eat gluten free. Great food we will be back. A mix of Cuban/Latin American. If you go before a 7pm Redwings game, go at 5pm to get a seat. We loved the chicken and beef Fritas. GF eater had chicken verde bowl. Next time, we’ll order the mayo on the side for the sandwiches, they add a lot and it gets messy. Also, we loved the plantains, but not the loaded ones, because the beans are really spicy. Large groups consider getting the bucket of beers or the fishbowl cocktails because it packs up before games or events and it is hard to get the second drink.

i have celiacs and they had some gluten free options and the waitress seemed knowledgeable. they don’t have a dedicated fryer but they have bread and pasta that’s gluten free. I got the mac and cheese and it was delicious!

The food was absolutely excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The view was absolutely excellent. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars in every single category is that I did mention I have a gluten allergy, and there was one small gluten item that was missed in the dessert that I ordered. Otherwise, the staff was very proactive and swapped out gluten-free options without my direction throughout the meal. And once again, all the food was wonderful.

This is a main stay for my husband and I! Michael Ransom and his team continually deliver amazing hospitality and INCREDIBLE food. The staff is always so attentive-whether it's the hostess, bartenders or servers. The staff is a HUGE part of why we come back on an almost weekly basis. This is the go to spot when we have guests in town as the menu has something for everyone-meat eaters, vegans, and gluten free dinners alike. The drink menu is always on point with a great selection of sake, beers, wine, and cocktails. And the weekly happy hour is one of the best in the city. $5 pints of Sapporo and carafes of sake, and awesome shareable for only $5 a pop. If you're looking for a warm, unpretentious dining environment that always has great music playing, lovely hospitality and a menu that will satisfy any appetite, this is your spot!

I ordered on doordash an half my order was completely messed up, I asked for garlic and pepperoni on a Detroit zoo pizza an got just a straight zoo pizza no garlic or pepperoni even though it was clearly on the list, further, there was, specifically, a gluten free pizza (which was clearly on the oder, GLUTEN FREE) cheese an mushroom pizza. We got a pizza that was , not gluten free, with a bunch of toppings, we didn't order, when I called about this, the lady was extremely unhelpful, an further lied to me, saying that the pepperoni was under the cheese. Which, it was not. Thanks buddies won't be ordering from u again!

The burger was delicious! I loved all of the options especially the avocado and egg. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries in my opinion. The service was great too - the waitress gave excellent recommendations. I would totally return again and recommend. They had wonderful gluten free items and my friend loved the coleslaw.

I recently visited Joe Muer on a work trip and was pleased with my visit. I am gluten free (not Celiac) and was able to find several options to suit my dietary needs. I absolutely recommend the lobster bisque - it was 100/10. My walleye dish was well seasoned and delicious as well. When it came to dessert, I got the cheesecake and boy, let me tell you...I've been dreaming of it ever since. Everything was wonderful, and expect to pay for that top-tier experience. I’ve gotten crepes many times from The French Cow and I’ve NEVER been disappointed! The traditional process is fascinating to watch. I had the BBQ jackfruit sandwich on gluten free bread and it was delicious. The staff are always helpful and friendly.
