I got a salad bar with salmon and my party also got the Rice Krispie bar and a grilled cheese tomato soup combo. It is on par with other Jason’s Deli and I appreciate the options for dietary restrictions like gluten free bread, etc.
Expect a caring atmosphere where attention to allergies is prioritized, making it a haven for those with dietary restrictions.

My toddler has quite a few allergies. When we alerted our server, he got the GM, Stacy. She came straight to me, introduced herself and explained that quite a few things had what he was allergic to in them (dairy, egg whites, soy, wheat/gluten, alpha-gal). She let me know what they had that would work. I asked if they had a white fish (my little one loves white fish). She said yes! She asked what they could cook it in for him. She gave it to the kitchen. They used gloves, clean pans & ensured there was no cross contamination for him! They bent over backwards to make sure he had something he could eat. It truly came from a place of concern and I will forever be grateful!
Enjoy a consistently amazing dining experience with exceptional service, a welcoming vibe, and standout dishes, especially the steak.

Carla like always greeted us with her gorgeous smile and seated us with no wait. Cody was an excellent server and took special care to make sure my celiac disease was taken seriously providing me a special menu and excellent service. The meal as usual was amazing. Kudos to the kitchen for a perfect steak. Saltgrass is always a great choice!
NOT FOR KIDS - These guys took burgers and chicken drumsticks off the kids menu. Hope your kid likes grilled cheese or mini pork sandwiches. Otherwise, you will spend 2-3 times as much for a burger or chicken for your kids. This also means there are now no gluten free options on the kids menu. Because of this, our little girl who eats next to nothing has to order a larger portion off the adult menu or she will get sick. Check the photo of the huge value we got out of spending twice as much for our other child’s burger. It’s the exact size we used to get for much less.
I want to take a moment to focus specifically on the fact that Jim N Nicks’ kids menu no longer has a hamburger on it. Let that sink in. What kids menu doesn’t? The Mexican and Chinese restaurants we frequent have kids’ burgers.
I want to wrap this up by saying that we just can’t go to Jim N Nicks with our children anymore. That, and I sure am glad I never went to this restaurant craving a burger. That thing was paper thin. Like somebody had smacked a slider with a frying pan. A nine dollar, flattened slider.
Edit - While I appreciate Jim N' Nick's attempt to get me to just accept a free meal or two so I won't make a fuss about this not being a kid-friendly restaurant, really the only thing that will fix this is Jim N' Nick's fixing it's kids menu. Parents enjoy your food and like to spend time with their kids. Fix this.
It's so simple and cheap (extra $$ for you) to take some chicken wings and throw them in a fry basket. No breading. No seasoning. Fry it until it floats and put it on a plate with some fruit and ranch dressing. You already have all of these ingredients. Kids love it. Parents love when kids don't complain about their food so everyone can have a good time. Don't leave parents hanging just because your chef isn't capable of thinking up these simple solutions when you realize you're loosing money on certain dishes (in Jim N' Nick's Bizarro(TM) accounting). I'll let you know an issue with your accounting that you may not have considered - if families can't come in to enjoy your restaurant, you will go out of business. Full stop. Do you really want to shed 15-20% of your business?
Good food. Reasonably priced. Fun atmosphere. A variety of different kinds of tacos to choose from. Not just your typical tacos. There are other options as well but we all had tacos. There are a some gluten free options if you ask.
Ordered four dishes, but one was swapped for a non-gluten free option, and the Taiwan rib dish was half chunks of pure fat. The rest of the food was spectacular.
Experience lightning-fast service and a vibrant atmosphere at this top-notch Mexican spot with fresh, delicious dishes.

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to! Our food came out in less than 5 minutes and the food was fresh and delicious. They catered to my brothers food allergy (gluten) and were very friendly. Amazing service, amazing food, and an amazing atmosphere!
Not impressed. Sorry! I got the chicken bowl. Maybe, that's reason. I needed GF, and they had offerings like Cole slaw and fries. Not very gluten free friendly!
Such nice servers, you truly feel like you are among friends here. Wonderful drink and food options as well. Added bonus of getting treats from The Joyful Food Co. here perfect for my daughter with celiac disease. Ongoing puzzle to work in and beautiful local art!! A neighborhood gem!!
A must-visit for anyone craving delicious meals, with standout service and a welcoming vibe that makes every visit special.

Service was incredibly nice, very sweet to talk with. The server also guided me through the menu on some questions..
And the food. Wow, SO good. Found a new weekly lunch/dinner spot! I also saw they have Gluten free and vegetarian options which will be helpful for my fiance.
I’d take a photo but my plate was empty!

Great coffee and delicious food. Absolutely professional and friendly staff! They also have gluten free pastries (gluten free muffins) that taste absolutely delicious!
The chicken is always good. They also have a grilled chicken option for our gluten/dairy free child. Not a big fan of the special sauce but it is ok. There was plenty of room for our large group, service was fast and pleasant.
I really enjoyed my meal here. They were very crowded and everything went quite smoothly. They have a gluten free menu that I ordered from and the food was just like any other. I'm going to go back for more.
One of the best burgers in Birmingham, and the seasoned fries are amazing! Don't forget to dip them in the special sauce! I can not have gluten, and I get the craft burger on lettuce and the fries and it is awesome! They do shakes, too, and I intend to try one the next time. Barry and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I love to support local businesses!

I went to Kabob-Licious for lunch and really enjoyed it. The food tastes great and is reasonably priced, the staff is courteous, and the restaurant is spotless. I spoke with the staff and they are taking an authentic approach to Pakistani food. As a result, some of the dishes were quite spicy. The restaurant will "tone down" the intensity for the less-adventurous American palate upon request. The entrees do not come with rice, but it can be ordered separately. Several gluten-free options for those that need it.
I will definitely eat lunch here again soon.
I was a little disappointed with this place when it first opened, but the food and service were excellent on my most recent visit. Glad I returned. Definitely has the best view and most pleasant location of any restaurant in Hoover. I always look forward to visiting this Waffle House. The three egg omelette is a great value and with hash browns makes a great gluten free breakfast that you can have any time twenty four hours a day. Always clean and friendly service. Very bright and open feeling restaurant.
The food was so good
I love that they give you a taste of different Asian flavor.
And lots of their stuff is made in-house, and they have gluten-free food as well

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO enjoyed my Acai Berry Bowl! I don't live in Alabama anymore so I haven't eaten at City Bowls since April 2019. It was just as AMAZING as it was the last time I had it. Thank you for being consistent and having gluten/soy-free granola😁.
