You can order 1/2 portion of some dishes. They offer gluten free options. We shared a very good sea bass hummus and for the main course I ordered cod. Everything very good. Very correct service.

I love Honest Greens and have been to three of their locations over the years, one in Barcelona and two in Madrid. In terms of a lunchtime atmosphere, this one is my favourite! The decor is light and earthy compared to the moodier lighting at Gran Via (which is of course much busier at peak times). The server was very friendly and patient when I didn’t recognise them saying my own name 😂😂 We pronounce it differently in England I swear! Food is always of a very high standard and service is very fast. If you haven’t been before, I recommend getting the app so you can preorder your food and you don’t have to wait as long. You can also select your allergens in the app which helps refine your search and makes it super easy and safe. I’d also recommend their refillable water over their juices, as I can’t recommend the juices due to the portion size and the cost. The flavoured water however is free to refill and costs half the price. And finally, definitely get a slice of banana bread on the way out! The best gluten free/plant based bread I’ve ever had.

We went to dinner last night with 2 families of 4 people (total 4 adults and 4 children), the food was very good and above all the gluten-free options were appreciated. But an embarrassing thing happened to us, and that is that when we arrived, a middle-aged, blonde, blue-eyed waitress with an unfriendly face did not allow us to sit at the table we had reserved until the other family that was parking arrived. Despite insisting that our friends were parking, and going with 2 small children, he did not allow us to sit and wait for them. How would it be that my little 8-year-old son asked her if she would allow us to go to the bathroom, to which she replied "yes to the bathroom." That is, imposing a clear limit with quite a bit of bad manners and bad taste. To our surprise, a family arrived next who also had a reservation and not everyone had arrived, but they were allowed to wait for their companions at the table. The service was not bad except for this lady who clearly lacks education and social skills to face the public.

My husband and I are from Australia and found Viva Chapata in Lavapies at the end of our stay in Madrid. The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed, they had gluten free alternatives clearly marked on their menu, and the coffee was the best we had in Europe. We had planned to return early the next morning but needed to catch our flight, so hope the staff see this review - we’re sorry we didn’t make it back! We recommend highly to anyone. It was the first time I went with my family and it was a great success. Delicious food and excellent service. There are also many gluten-free dishes. We ordered an eggplant with tomato, meat and hummus that was delicious, some delicious falafel and a spicy meat skewer with sauces that was brutal. It was a tremendous dinner. The guy in the cap (I don't know his name) was super helpful. Trying to advise us at all times. We will recommend it. Dinner for 10

I have been eating at this place for more than 7 years, my whole family comes here when there is an important date, birthdays... it is a place where my family and I are very comfortable and we trust a lot. My mother and I are celiacs, and the attention, care, and precaution they put into us is admirable, I have never felt better in a restaurant. Whether you are celiac or have any other type of intolerance or not, this place is undoubtedly the best to spend with friends, family and your partner.

The peanut crusted salmon is fantastic, pair it with the mushroom risotto (it’s salty but that’s a bonus in my opinion). The tomato salad was tasty too. All gluten free. Also the lemonade if you want something tart or Moroccan iced tea for a sweet tooth

We were together with 13 other friends on day 2. We had reserved a table, and the truth is that all of us diners liked the dishes on the menu that we chose. In our particular case, one of us was able to enjoy a gluten-free menu, with beer and bread. Of course, as usually happens, dessert is where there is less variety, although I was able to have rice pudding. Alilian has become one of our essentials. We have been a couple of times and we can't find a single fault, the first time we tried several of their dishes, the salmon tartar was delicious, the gyozas were one of the best I've ever had, the steak tartare was outrageous (they also let you try the point of spiciness before making it so you can decide if it is to your taste), the taco was very good and we also liked the bao bread a lot. The orgasmic desserts, I have to say that grandma's cake with chocolate fondant is the best I have ever tasted. In summary of the first visit, high quality food without leaving behind the great work of the service, to highlight the attention received by Javier, which to say that it was excellent is an understatement, a great professional. We liked the place so much that we decided to organize a family event a few months later and everyone was delighted, menus with fixed prices (among several options that they gave us to choose from) and they adapted everything so that our friend, who has celiac disease, could try almost all of the dishes and those who couldn't, they gave him alternatives. Varied and high quality food, no one left hungry and everyone said they ate better than at many weddings. They also have beer and gluten-free bread. The children had their menu with what we ordered and they set up the downstairs floor (which has bathrooms) for the celebration with the family, in which the service was excellent (David did a great job, at no time did we lack anything ), they gave us a speaker to play music and they had a lot of details with us (they invited us to some portions of torreznos, special prices on glasses and a house wine that we wanted to try). Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team for how well everything turned out, we couldn't have been more delighted. We will return soon and we will recommend you to everyone we can, thank you very much! ☺️

Whole sandwiches on display in the cabinet, but marked prices were actually for half sandwiches (did not know this until we received the half sandwich). Deal advertised with a combination of sandwich and coffee but not applied at checkout when coffee and sandwich were ordered. This could be our mistake - if you want this deal, ensure you specify clearly as it won't be applied if you don't ask. Service was polite. We observed a non Spanish speaker attempting to speak Spanish to the waiter and the staff helped this speaker patiently and respectfully to assist them in their practise, even though they were busy. Has vegan and gluten free options, which is great. We ordered both a vegan option and a meat option and they came wrapped together as one sandwich. This was fine for us, but if it is not fine for you make sure to specify at checkout.
