I am SUPER impressed with the attention to detail at this restaurant! Just WOW! Having Celiac, trace amounts of gluten can wreak havoc on my system. I checked out their menu online and ordered through Uber Eats noting Celiac. The manager called and let me know some of the items were prepared with items containing gluten and suggested substitutes! I was pleasantly caught off guard by the manager’s professionalism and knowledge of Celiac procedures! I will definitely be ordering here often! Oh, and, their food is INCREDIBLE!!!

The gluten free options are amazing. The tuna sandwich has been fantastic each time so it’s kept me from trying other things because I enjoy it so much. Their coffee is great, both the normal espresso and decaf! The homemade syrups are wonderful

Had an amazing experience. This is my go to spot when I need delicious gluten free food and drinks. I am Celiac and have never had an issue at this location. I took my sister for the first time and we had the queso (which my 6 yr old says its 10 out of 10), we also had the mango shrimp ceviche which was amazing (I'm super picky with my seafood and it was so refreshing), we had the beef enchiladas (these are my fav) and they were amazing as well. The extra sauce put them over the top. We also had the mango margarita and watermelon margaritas and both were deli deli (delicious). My sister was super pleased with a The food and service (which she is super picky as we are Mexican ) and she ordered plenty of items to go for her family to try. Our waitress was also amazing, i don't recall her name but we sat next to the entrance and visited on 6.19.25 @ around 11:15ish am. Overall it was a great experience and the food was great. Today was chef's kiss!

Server seemed knowledgeable about celiac, but was slightly rude about it when I asked my questions to confirm safety. Also, the ordering process didn’t completely put my mind at ease. However, after receiving the steak fajitas (made with tamari, soy is mentioned on the menu), I enjoyed the meal and had no issues afterwards. The chips are fried in a solely gluten free fryer. But, I didn’t end up having those. Would recommend if you want some Mexican food.

Overall, fantastic!! It is a mix of a casual restaurant with a clean, casual space for eating in, as well as a small market with to-go options for foods. The staff at the front are extremely helpful and kind. I have celiac disease (strict gluten-free) and vegetarian, and I was pleasantly surprised about the gluten-free vegetarian options that were absolutely delicious, and with multiple options. Their fryer only cooks tostadas and tortilla chips, which are both gluten-free, so thus a gluten-free fryer was available! I enjoyed a doble style with a southwest veggie tamale, hatch & jack tamale, and sides of pinto beans and a bean & cheese tostada. The portions are extremely generous and also served with some chips. This was definitely the best tamales I have ever had. The tamale thickness and texture was perfect, while the hatch chile and cheese smothered in cheese suace on top was delicious and accompanied well by the savory southwest veggie tamale covered in red chile sauce. I wish tamales everywhere were served like this. The size of the sides was generous, and both the tostada and beans were an excellent complement to the tamales. I devoured them too quickly. They were so good, I decided to buy 6 frozen tamales (they have 5 veggie and 4 vegan options!) for my road trip, and my only regret is not making it in time to go again in person before leaving Phoenix. Excellent service, ambiance, and food that is both delicious and well-priced .

This place is awesome! The food is always on point and they have the best gluten free enchiladas I have tasted. I highly recommend it and it is definitely one of our favorite restaurants to frequent here in the valley.

Lots of gluten-free options (except dessert unfortunately)! Super fresh and clean. Patio and indoor seating. Not a fan of the nude artwork by the bathrooms, so I wouldn't bring my kids here for that reason. Otherwise it's a great experience and I would highly recommend!

Love this place! The food is delish and even as a celiac, Our waitress made me feel super safe about ordering. Menu items are marked gluten free and she ensured me she would tell the cooks to not cross contaminate. Chip’s and queso are gluten free too and are sooooo good! Margaritas are crazy good, I recommend with the mezcal!!

My fiancee has Celiac disease, so dedicated Gluten-Free joints are worth their weight in gold in these parts. We are regular patrons of Jewel's Bakery (Tru Taco shares their location & kitchen at night) so this was a no-brainer to try, we gave them a try within the first week of them opening up. The menu was limited at the time but has expanded significantly since, so if you tried them early and didn't like the limited options, give them another try as their taco menu has expanded. Their Chimi is excellent as are the asada fries. Basically anything that has their cheese sauce on it is a must-try. They also now have an Asada Fry taco which is excellent if you don't want a full plate of fries. These folks are clearly a mom & pop operation but they're definitely finding their footing. Be sure to keep an eye on them and give them some love & business, it would be amazing to have a good GF Mexican place like this become a permanent fixture in the community.

Went here on a whim our last night in Phoenix and we were very pleasantly surprised. We were seated at a cozy intimate table. Cindy was an incredible waitress who went above and beyond to ensure my meal was safe and enjoyable (I have celiac disease) and kept the delicious corn tortillas coming! The Queso Fundido, Halibut Ceviche and Chile Relleno were fresh and delicious.

Truly one of the worst dining experiences so far herein Phoenix. The food was subpar quality and very salty and the prickly pear margaritas tasted my Hawaiian Punch. Don't know how safe it is, I don't feel great 25 minutes after leaving. When I confirmed the chips were gluten free I was shut down with they are corn, when I reminded the waiter I have a gluten allergy I was told he had it he's culinary.

Our favorite taco place, hands down! Delicious, fresh street tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas (and even steaks on Wednesdays)! There are vegetarian and gluten free options, too. Fonzy's also caters, too! We've had them cater events for us and all of our guests/friends have come to love them, too. I love that now they are next to the 1227 Taproom and we can sit down to eat Fonzy's while enjoying a delicious craft beer. I cannot begin to say how much I am grateful that Fonzy's is in our neighborhood. The owners, Fonzy and Selena are such amazing, big hearted people who really care about their craft and building community. Come for the food (and beer), stay for the people!
