A tale of two pancakes
This was a takeout order
The buckwheat pancakes were the best I've ever had, however the gluten-free pancakes were the worst I've ever had.
Many places mess up buckwheat pancakes. However, this place knew exactly how to make them and they came out really good. Moist and full of flavor.
The gluten-free pancakes were another story. They were dry. Had no flavor and were very hard and too dense, matching the gluten-free waffle we ordered.
Unfortunately, the texture and moisture content of the gluten-free items made us throw them out after a few bites. They should try adding oatmeal or oat flour to their mix to alter the whole profile of those items.
The omelet I got was cooked perfectly and the home fries were really good. Just wish I had asked for ketchup and hot sauce. Unfortunately they were not given to me which is my fault. I should have asked for them, but most places do automatically give you ketchup at least with an omelette, Plus we had ordered a side of fries also that we should have asked for ketchup for.
I appreciate that this place has real maple syrup that they offer for a surcharge, which I'm fine with because it comes in a nice little glass jar that I could reuse.

The gluten free Grandma pizza is delicious!!! I'm not gf but my partner is and I was really surprised at how good it is!! I wouldn't think it was gf if I didn't know. Skinners loft was fun. My dining mate has severe food allergies, and they verified that the fryer wasn't cross contaminating with gluten. Super awesome. Most restaurants can't do that.
My dinner had hiccups. I got the watermelon salad, and the lettuce was bad. They fixed it and comped the salad part. Service was impeccable throughout this. The salmon was perfectly cooked, also.

I'm embarrassed to say it was the first time visiting in my 20+ years living in downtown JC. Even worse, I've been to every other taco place and this was my last to visit. If you're getting takeout, I'd recommend another taco spot but if you're eating in-person definitely visit. We had the shrimp ceviche and Carne tacos (5 minis w/ rice & beans for $17, super economical) for food. For drinks, we enjoyed 'The Neil' margarita (w/ one Marlee thrown in) and bubbles option. The waitors were extremely helpful and familiar with the menu. Celiac Annie felt at home and was able to partake in all the food options mentioned. I cannot wait to come back. Total package... I'm not sure I've ever had Hyderabad cuisine before, but it was delicious...and spicy! They took a standard dish in Aloo Gobi, for instance, and amped it up with green chilis and Sichuan peppers. The lentil dish we had was similarly rich and spicy. So many vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options, which was important for our group. It had parking in the back and the food was good but very very spicy. They didn't have reuten free options and they're very clear as to what dishes were gluten free and what we're not. For example none of their Dosa items are gluten free. Paneer biryani was awesome so was there medu vada.

I saw this place had a full Irish and I needed it you see because the last one I had was lacking, no puddings, which, it's not like they're my favorite thing but if you're gonna full Irish then go ahead and Irish me fully. And they did. It was delicious food, the breading on the tomato was a nice touch. I ate it too quickly. They had a Brewdog IPA (Elvis Juice) that went well with it, and then let me do a black magic (Guinness and Magic Hat #9).
They were also nice enough to let me move to a bigger table outside when my friends joined for some drinks along with a hairy baby!
Oh and they have a gluten free beer for my partner who said it was great. She wouldn't let me have any it was so good (not true, I was perfectly content with what I ordered). Ten for ten would recommend. Heck I'll take you just to go again. I do wish it wasn't only a brunch thing though.
