Me and my partner came here and it was my first ever time going to a cosy club. Our waiter Adrien was very attentive and kind, but all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our service was excellent, our drinks were lovely and the food was incredible. I have a gluten intolerance and was very content with the selection. They also have vegan options too. We came in for lunch the next day as well and the brunch menu was also delightful. Basically, if you want a lovely vibe in a beautiful historical building for a casual setting? This is the place. Highly recommend!
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with great tunes, generous portions, and a fantastic selection of drinks, all while soaking in a lovely waterfront view.

Visited as a pre booked group of 9 on a Saturday night. Arrived at our booking time of 6pm and was told to wait outside and queue with those that hadn't booked, ended up going in 25 minutes later. Once seated we waited for 30 minutes to have our order taken before asking someone if we could order food. The waitress came over and said "i was told you wanted to order food?"
While waiting for food some of us went outside to smoke...the doorman then refused to let them back in unless they phoned someone from the table to come get them....weird.
One person ordered a gluten free meal and another ordered a vegan meal...these were brought out separately to everyone elses and were specifically told that this was the vegan and gluten free meals. The rest of the food was brought out on a large tray and dumped at the end of the table leaving us to try work out what was what, meaning that quite a few of us are unsure if we actually got what we ordered. Shortly after starting to eat my partner noticed that his beef burger looked very much not like beef. My vegan friend then took apart his burger to see that it was beef...
When we tried to speak to staff about this they tried to argue that he had picked up the wrong burger but this burger was specifically given to him stating it was vegan. This is totally unacceptable, if it was an allergy giving the wrong food could have killed them.
The food was very nice but sadly the lack of care from staff ruined the night. There were also a large group of men shouting constantly and doing coke in the toilets :(
A must-visit for Japanese and Asian flavors, where the vibrant menu and creative drinks make for an unforgettable dining experience.

Went here a couple months ago with a voucher that we were given over Christmas.
My girlfriend has a sesame allergy, which we found out was the one allergy that couldn't be catered for, but unfortunately we had no choice.
Our waiter, who was also the manager, was incredible and made sure we could try as many dishes as possible, with the additional issue of me being gluten-free.
The food was great and we were incredibly well taken care of. Thanks for saving the evening!

Came here for a work do, stunning food and great service. Only downside is the gluten free menu being a barcode, poor signal inside meant took long to load. Printed out alternative menus for dietary restrictions would be 5 star. Highly recommend!
Renowned for its wood-fired pizzas and fantastic atmosphere, this spot offers a diverse selection of toppings and great value, making it a local favorite.

THE BEST BREAKFAST PLACE IN BRISTOL!! I could rave about this place all day long and write a 5000 word essay about how good this place is. From the most friendliest staff that are genuinely happy to be there (which is rare in hospitality) and always finding a way to struck up a positive conversation, to the atmosphere the place has. Nectar house has such an incredible atmosphere so cosy and hippie dippie I LOVE IT. Now to the best part of all……. THE FOOD OMG THE FOOD. The breakfast slays so hard it always come out Micheline Star level. If I was sentenced to death my last meal would be here without a second thought. Big portions and variety of foods. So accommodating to all diets: vegan, veggie, meat, gluten free. Oh and the owner is so wonderful. Polish owner of the year awards, so friendly and always makes sure to say hello to the regulars. This place is sick and twisted because I fight the urge to go there and spend all my money everyday.
Expect a cozy spot with a fantastic vibe and great service that's welcoming to both you and your furry friend!

Lovely atmosphere and really helpful and friendly staff. Able to accommodate being gluten free really easily, and we’ll set out with seperate fryers etc. (small kitchen so some cross contamination risk). Felt very safe eating here and the food was DELICIOUS. Absolutely will come again. Thank you
Experience authentic Italian vibes and a fantastic variety of delicious dishes in a cozy, family-run spot perfect for celebrations or casual meals.

I tried their gluten free pizza after being recommended it by so many people. I have tried many of the gf pizzas available in Bristol and was really excited for this one after hearing such good things! I hope management will take my feedback in a positive manner and my suggestions on board perhaps. :)
Firstly, the pizza came really fast. I ordered via a delivery app and it was with me in 15 minutes. So this aspect was great.
Secondly their dough is delicious. Really tasty. They have got their recipe just right. The crusts were absolutely amazing and probably joint top with the best GF pizza crusts I’ve tried!
However, the rest of the pizza (where the toppings are) was far too thick. Like double the thickness it should be, and it was not cooked properly.
It was stodgy, thick and weighed a tonne in the box and in my stomach.
I ate maybe two slices and then threw the rest of the pizza away, except for the crusts which I ate (they nailed this part).
For a £20 pizza, this was quite upsetting. I am not someone who throws away food or wastes money if I can possibly help it.
There was also way too much cheese, in my opinion. This added to the overall stodgy and heavy feeling of the pizza.
It was more like a New York style, deep pan pizza and quite greasy too. Albeit I did order one with nduja so this was probably the reason for the greasiness. Again, I threw most of the greasy parts away as they were dripping with oil and I found that quite off putting.
If I had known it would be a deep pan style pizza I would not have ordered since I don’t enjoy eating this much food in one go. I don’t feel good after and plus this base was so thick that it was very gummy, almost like it was raw dough.
I think that most GF diners are on the more health conscious side of things. And are probably(??) hoping for a thin and crispier pizza, more like a regular pizza that is made with a wholewheat base.
I’d like to suggest to management with full respect and appreciation of the craft that has gone into creating their delicious gluten free dough (I know it’s not easy), that they work to make the main base of the GF pizza much thinner. I think this would be more appealing to most customers and certainly to me.
I wouldn’t try the gluten free pizza here again as it stands now but also, I know maybe my experience was a one off. And I stand by what I said about the crusts being the best I’ve tried! Joint with one GF pizza chain I tried in Madrid.
I hope management take my comments with the respect with which I write them ❤️🙏🏼

Asked about allergens before we waited 20 minutes outside for a table with my heavily pregnant partner. They assured us they could cater for both gluten and sulphite allergies.
After a long wait we sat down ordered two drinks. Pregnant partner ordered an alcohol free beer and staff instead served her an alcoholic one which is completely unacceptable.
When we came to order, they then informed us that nothing on the menu was suitable for a sulphite allergy and we couldn’t actually eat there at all!
So we waited nearly 40 minutes in total to be told we couldn’t eat at this restaurant. So we needed to go somewhere else to eat. My pregnant partner was already hungry before we waited 40 minutes to be served.
Then to make matters worse, the guy serving us (who claimed to be the manager/owner) and was extremely unprofessional. Told us essentially tough luck and here is the bill for the drinks… we wouldn’t have waited 40 minutes and sat down at all if your staff didn’t tell us it was ok for our allergies. You should be hugely ashamed for your service today. We won’t be returning. Allergens should be at the forefront of your business followed by decency and customer service. Today none of these things happened.
Because your response has purposefully tried to manipulate the narrative of our visit, I would like to clarify; The only bad behaviour came from the manager, he was extremely rude and abusive in how he spoke to us and the language he used. And clearly this restaurant instead of taking this feedback seriously has tried to deflect the narrative instead of taking responsibility for the failings detailed.
This is not a safe place to eat if you have any allergens.

If you enjoy delicious food, you have to head for Root! I would recommend booking in advance as they get full quickly. For a table of two, around 5-7 dishes is perfect. The team brought the food out gradually so we weren't buried under dishes and it's perfect. They could cater for gluten free with no issue.
Mainly vegetarian dishes, but they are so tasty! My personal favourite was the Potatoes, the carrot and the cabbage!
There is both outdoor and indoor seating with heaters if you sit out. It is upstairs but there is disabled access via the lift.
A vibrant spot with great vibes, often featuring live music, making it a perfect hidden gem for gatherings and celebrations.

Great roasts for a 60th birthday meal. Everyone loved their meals. Gluten and dairy allergy requirements were handled really well. Members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice coffee too.
Went here today and the food was INCREDIBLE- had the scrambled tofu on toast with tempeh and it's the best scrambled tofu I've ever had! I come here often and the cakes are just amazing as well, so many gluten free options and they change on a regular basis- yum yum yum!

Food and staff here are lovely. Unfortunately a lot of the items marked on their menu as "gluten free" are not actually due to cross contamination, which as a coeliac is quite disappointing and could easily make someone very ill if they took the menu at face value. Please update your menu to reflect allergens correctly.

Good pub, seating outside is a little rickety and tight together but some great beers on tap at reasonable enough prices for fancied up IPAs etc (5-6.50£). Also nice they have some gluten-free ales!

Just had an insane first experience here. I reserved a table and upon arrival was sat at a sticky table which eventually was cleaned. I asked from a gluten free menu highlighting what on the menu was GF. Both salmon maki and avocado maki are available independently but for some reason salmon avocado uramaki was not highlighted. I asked the waitress if a gluten free version could be made. She seemed confused. Eventually her superior said salmon avocado is not available tonight. So I naturally thought they are out of avocado. I then asked for salmon sushi platter- she then says that they have run out of salmon. (Would have been nice to know upon arrival) I say ok I'll have the tuna set. She then says we are out of Tuna also. So essentially the ingredients for 80% of their menu is run out. Awful staff training, knowledge and common sense. My partner and I had to get up and leave with empty stomachs , sticky fingers and blown minds. MUST DO BETTER

I went for a superb unlimited cooked breakfast this morning. Service with a smile from Conor, especially to my multiple requests (such as gluten free toast). Absolutely perfect poached eggs from Flo the chef - I would go back just for them.

The restaurant caters to vegans and has some gluten free options. It is in a very charming area of Bristol, close to the downs. You can take a long walk and come have lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea. The elixirs were very good. I had the turmeric and lion’s mane. My husband the cacao, mushroom and cinnamon and my daughter had a chai. Loved the drinks. I didn’t love my food. The Doner had a lot of vegan cheese that took over the taste of the wrap. And the vegan “meat” wasn’t good. My daughter liked her Ruben sandwich. My husband liked his bowl but the wrap needed meet sliced not in a massive heap, as well as more vegetables and not vegan cheese. Wait staff was really helpful.
With a cozy vibe and a tempting menu, this spot promises an unforgettable experience with irresistible dishes that are hard to choose from.

The staff, the food, the wine, THE DESSERT!! Honestly it was all so good! The only hard part of dining here is trying to decide what to actually order as the food was all so delicious! The ox cheek was so tender it melted in your mouth, the butternut squash was a really wonderful balance of texture and flavors. And whatever you do save room for dessert!! The white chocolate cheesecake was noteworthy!! Also, thank you so much to the staff as one of our table has a nut allergy and I have celiacs disease and they never missed a beat and they took care to ensure that we were safe with each of our plates.

We came here for our 1st wedding anniversary celebration. We booked well in advance and asked for a nice table for the special occasion, unfortunately this did not happen. We were on a rubbish table right next to the toilet, which was a shame. There were some lovely tables in the restaurant with nice views, romantic booths etc, however I do not believe the staff read our comment on booking and did not ensure we received a special table, which was disappointing. I wouldn’t come here again for a really special occasion, but would happily come for general dinner, or with friends etc.
Food was really good and tasty, especially the salad which came with the shish (although it is slightly overpriced), food came out quickly. Staff were great and were also very good with allergies, gluten/dairy etc.
The decoration was lovely and overall we had a nice time.
