i've been quite a few times but last night went with my family after my sister's graduation. i have celiac and our server (taylor i believe?) was superrrr informative and made sure i had all the info to decide what i wanted to eat & stay away from! clearly there's some really good server training going on.
food was delicious as always and we had a great time :)
Enjoy a vibrant brunch scene with unique dishes, self-serve coffee, and a lively atmosphere, though seating can get a bit cozy.

As someone with celiac disease (gluten intolerance), it is always a challenge for me to find a restaurant where I can eat without worries. I was completely thrilled at Harry & Izzy’s. As soon as I entered I was warmly welcomed and immediately offered a separate gluten-free menu - a big plus!
After placing the order, I was personally spoken to by the manager to ensure that all details about my intolerance were correctly understood. This extra level of attention immediately made me feel good. When the food finally arrived, it was also served personally by the manager - a sign of how seriously allergies and intolerances are treated here.
And the food? Excellent! Taste at the highest level - I have rarely felt so safe and at the same time so pampered in a restaurant. A big thank you to the whole team at Harry & Izzy’s

Nice looking place, ridiculous that you have to walk all the way around from the street to try to find the entrance. My wife and I ordered 2 different burgers and they were both undercooked and the gluten free buns were dry and awful. Never coming back here again.

I had high hopes. The pics and reviews really had me hyped. But after waiting an hour (they told me 45 mins), the huge bread sticks that look amazing but have no flavor outside of the seasoning sprinkled on top, a mediocre pepperoni pizza, a Chicken Limo (basically buffalo chicken pizza), and paying 45$ before tip for 2 small pizzas and an order of sticks....I can say I will not return. The one positive I will give the place, is that their pizza crust (not bread stick dough) is impressive. Turns out it's gluten free and I didn't even notice the difference. It tastes like home made crust, and very unique. However, I need more than just great/healthy crust to enjoy a pizza.
Located in a charming part of the city, this spot offers a lively vibe, affordable options, and a great patio for enjoying the time spent there.

My home-base Cafe Patachou. Much too conveniently located near my home. It's hard to eat out and eat healthy. I love to get the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free toast and sub out chips for arugula. So yummy and I swear it has restorative powers.
With a chill vibe, rotating ciders, and themed flights, it’s perfect for a laid-back hangout or date night despite occasional busy waits.

I’ve loved this place for several years now, but I’m writing this review because my girlfriend has celiac disease— strictly no gluten, and this makes some dining out more challenging. I went in to pick up dinner for us and both the owner and an employee working the front chatted with me about options that fit her dietary needs. The employee even doublechecked to ensure that the food prep surface had been cleaned and could safely accommodate a severe gluten intolerance. We got the vegan birria trio and the nonono tacos. Both were delicious. My girlfriend was thrilled. And I, as someone with no restrictions, was equally happy with our choices. Even as a meat-eater, I enjoy everything I’ve ever tried here, including the vegan and vegetarian options. The tofu mole is my absolute favorite! I never thought I’d say that as someone that didn’t appreciate tofu for 20 something years.
Known for its consistently great offerings and a lively, bustling vibe, this spot is a brunch favorite in Indy with a large menu to explore.

Made a reservation for 8 for Prom last week and the kids were pleased. They said the food was great and the manager came out to check on the gluten free order to make sure it was right and that they were having a good experience. They were excited to be treated with such great service after not being served well at a steakhouse farther north a couple of months ago. They promised they tipped appropriately, but look it up on my open table to make sure that is true. Thank you for treating them with kindness and respect and for making it a good experience for them.
Expect a classy yet hip vibe with a sophisticated atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delicious variety of menu options and a great drink selection.

The roasted brussels sprout appetizer is amazing! Also, pair your meal with one of the CH house wines. We chose a smooth merlot with our dinner and will do so again, it was that good.
Our server was very attentive and professional, very knowledgeable on the menu and wines. He insured that my meal was prepared gluten-free which I greatly appreciated.

We make this a usual stop about once every 3 months. Service was far better this time than last. My wife has to be gluten free and she hasn't had any issues when eating here! The tacos are fantastic!
Gorgeous spot and worth going for the soothing live jazz. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning with gleaming bar and antique charm. Atmosphere and service is a bit pretentious/exclusive.
Not recommended for celiacs. Staff showed no awareness or willingness to offer gluten free options.

Amazing atmosphere with unique and stunning surrounds! Old shoe factory reclaimed for a great restaurant. Aside from the architectural feast, the food and service are outstanding!! Ordered the Jumbo Lobster and Crab Ravioli and ordered the zero-proof Tropical Dreamsicle. Delicious!! They were accommodating to both gluten allergies (I don't have) but also offer smaller portion menus for any anyone like seniors, kids, or bariatric patients with NO HASSLE!

Great experience. I had the Greek salad. My son had the gluten free version of the hummus plate. We both thought the food was delicious. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. Our friendly server checked back several times. My diet soda was refilled without me having to ask. The atmosphere was cozy, featuring an eclectic mix of Jockamo items and local Irvington posters and art. We plan to return.

Burgers are really good. I was super disappointed in the onion rings. Really thick breading, like a limp pretzel dough and no crisp. Wish I didn't pay extra and just got the fries.

Cafe Audrey has been a go-to for my gluten-free pancake needs for 1.5 years now! I only give 4/5 stars because sometimes the cakes/toast can be a bit dry. Their cinnamon sugar butter paires well with the pancakes. They're on the expensive side, but the people there are friendly and welcoming. They have really good mimosas with different flavors. I like the pineapple and the sunrise grenadine mimosas! It's less packed during the week and in the mornings before noon.
On the weekends, if you go in the morning before 11, you can sit yourself. I would recommend going before noon to avoid waiting since the place is so small, they don't really have a waiting area.

It’s a super beautiful restaurant and the food was really tasty. I was disappointed when I read and was told that the restaurant has Gluten Free Options, but that you don't have a separate gluten free fryer.. It really limited the options down to what is actually gluten free, and not just called gluten free because it has gluten free flour. Cross contamination for someone with Celiacs disease or a gluten allergy can really be dangerous. It was also very expensive for it not being gluten free product. Other than that, it was really nice and our server was sweet.

The chicken tender meal was over cooked and seemed like it came out of a frozen bag! I got a plate of tail end fries and the waitress forgot my cup of chili. Thankful now! The double smash burger was dripping wet in grease if you like that kind of thing YUK! The gluten free bun was dry and just fell apart. Now I understand why nobody was in the place. We went to The Capital Grille a couple weeks ago for our anniversary celebration. They truly made us feel special at Capital Grille. They knew we were celebrating our anniversary and they acknowledged that many times throughout the night. The table was nicely decorated for our anniversary, they left us a card and a rose. I can’t eat gluten and they were attentive and cautious with all of my food to ensure I had a safe dining experience. They even had a GF menu! All the food was delicious! They surprised us for dessert and brought out two deserts, one for my husband and a GF chocolate espresso cake for me. It was divine! They paid attention to every detail and really made us feel valued and appreciated for spending our night with them. It made us feel we chose the right place to spend our time and money. I’d definitely go back there!

Rick’s Cafe Boatyard has been on our list of date-night restaurants to check out for a long time. We finally made it and we’re happy we did. Even with some construction work happening, the atmosphere was nice. They had several gluten-free options for us to choose from. We chose bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp tacos (see the photos), and it was all delicious. Our server was great… very attentive, friendly and helpful.

Great restaurant close to downtown. The service is great and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and wine. They always have a vegan and gluten free entree.
When you first sit down you get a small glass of champagne which is a nice touch.
On our last visit we got the smoked carrots and they were shockingly good. The carrot soup was excellent and then for entrees I got long trumpet mushrooms and my wife got the Sacchetoni en Brodo. She said hers was good.
The peanut parfait is amazing and a must get to finish the meal.
It is on the pricier side but it is with it in my opinion.
