$7.00 for a tiny overcooked puck. The $6 fries were tiny nubs and overcooked. I was given better fries, but told no on the burger. This restaurant advertises gluten free and vegan options. I was excited because I have food allergies to eggs, wheat, and dairy. I found out after I got there the gf, vegan bun is just gf because there are eggs in it. There isn't a single vegan dessert on the menu. Very disappointed.

I travel to KC for work and love all of the GF options in the area but this is by FAR my favorite !! Great Happy Hour, friendly staff (Hannah and Ross are my faves but everyone is great) and the Gluten Free selection is simply the best. They have a gluten free fryer, pasta, a GF bun, and many other options. Pictured is the Spicy Shrimp Diablo, it is truly spicy !!!

Enjoyed our visit, food was good, I had the biscuits and gravy or the "Notorious BNG", and thought it was delicious. The main thing we enjoyed was the gluten free menu with tons of options.for our gluten free teenager. Made ordering so much easier with so many options and she thought the gluten free pancakes were delicious

I had the El Salvadoreno Sampler which includes the pupusas, pasteles, tamales, and enchiladas. This is so different from anything I’ve ever had before and I was pleasantly surprised by how many gluten free options there were, as most of the items are made using corn flour.

Stopped in yesterday morning to get some work done. I enjoyed some drip coffee. Great service and atmosphere. As someone who can't have gluten, I was delighted to see all of their bakery items are gluten-free. I purchased some cherry almond butter bites and peanut butter bites to-go, which were devoured by me and my co-workers. Can't wait to come back here.

In and out for an early week day lunch at 11:30am. Had options for those gluten free - but no buns so if you want a sandwich bring your own bun. Plenty of seating, also indoor outdoor space with fire place. Emma, our server, was very attentive and kind on our first visit. Between two of us tried pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and burnt ends. I’m not a huge burnt ends person and I loved them - not hard or chewy. The sauces are all very unique so be sure to try multiple. It’s worth a stop on your KC bbq tour.

Hake was an absolutely fabulous waiter. He completely understood the severe gluten allergy I have and was the first person ever to only bring one plate for my husband’s jalapeño cornbread. He gets it and I was absolutely amazed and impressed. Kudos friend.

Garozzo's never disappoints! I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying their food at weddings, in their restaurant, and even through takeout, and it’s always fantastic. The dishes are full of flavor, and I especially appreciate their gluten-free options, which never compromise on taste. Whether I’m dining in or grabbing a meal to go, the quality and service are consistently excellent. If you’re looking for delicious Italian food with great gluten-free choices, Garozzo's is the place to go! Highly recommend!

This is my second time here & if I lived closer, I’d be here everyday for lunch. This place scratches that fresh itch I have. My go to order has been the Pacific Cod street tacos! I am absolutely in love with them! It has everything you want from a street tacos, especially when you get them with fish! The jalapeño lime lcreama, cabbage, & queso fresco makes them sing! The chipotle black beans has that nice kick that just makes you eat it until the bowl is gone! Now their soup specials are to die for! First time I came here, they had a lentil soup. It was so amazing I licked the bowl clean! This time I ordered their tomato basil. It’s gluten free & doesn’t come from a can! This place never misses and always hits the spot!

Stopped by the wooden spoon on our way through Kansas City. our party had the corned beef hash, the lemon ricotta pancakes, the fiesta Philly and a couple of cinnamon rolls. we found the food to be exceptionally delicious and the team member who served us was very helpful in explaining the options and helping us with our order. in addition my wife has celiac. they were able to safely accommodate her and everyone at the table was very pleased with our meal. Will definitely be back next time we are in Kansas City.

First things first: this place gets 5stars simply because of their Al Pastor taco with pineapple onion relish. I could stop there and that should be enough reason for any sane person to want to try this place. But if you need more reasons (which I’ve already established that you don’t) here’s more. Second, A strong gluten free menu so all your friends, who already suffer in silence in a donut-less world, can know the joys of good tacos. Third, excellent salsas to choose from. We had the spicy jalapeño salsa which was creamy and had a solid slow burn. Fourth, really tasty breakfast tacos. At 8pm!!!! Praise the Lord! Fifth, a rewards program! Free tacos!!! It’s like heaven on earth!! Taco Naco, we will be back soon!!!

Joe and Manager Ryan completely took care of my severe gluten allergy. To include not dipping into Mayo and instead gave me Mayo packets. Also instead of giving me a .Gf treat from the cookie bin, they went and got a non-contaminated one. They were so amazing to deal with. Oh and also they changed gloves right in front of me. A Hidden Gem with Inclusive and Delicious Options! I'm still reeling from my incredible dining experience at BuckTui BBQ! This unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a treasure trove of flavors, aromas, and vibrant energy. From the traditional Asian decor to the modern hit music, the atmosphere is perfect for any gathering - family, friends, or a date night. Their craft cocktails are a must-try! I indulged in the Moo Deng, a sublime blend of empress indigo gin, hibiscus and ginger syrup, and lime juice. The delicate flavors and beautiful lavender hue, topped with an orchid garnish, made for a truly unforgettable drink. As a breastfeeding mom with a son who has multiple allergies, I'm extremely particular about my dietary choices. I'm thrilled to report that BuckTui BBQ not only accommodated my gluten, dairy, and coconut-free requirements but also served me one of the most mouth-watering dishes I've had in a long time - the pad Thai brisket! It was so juicy and flavorful that I was tempted to order a second entree. My boyfriend devoured his Drunken noodle pork, and we both left feeling thoroughly satisfied. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend visiting BuckTui BBQ on a Tuesday or Wednesday and asking for Ben. You won't be disappointed!

We are on the hunt for a gourmet burger joint in KC and Burg & Barrel is on our short list. Bartender Dave was our server and he made several recommendations. The wife got the PB&E and I got the Smokehouse. They have Gluten free buns for their burgers. And a huge selection of beers. The burgers are huge and tasty. They are VERY accommodating with customizing. The tots were just crisp and not burnt. (Updated). 2nd visit. 2 more burgers. Wife had the mushroom swiss and I had the bourbon glaze. Both were very tasty. She had the loaded tots. Claimed they tasted like loaded potato skins. (Updated 230318). 3rd visit. Still love this place. Just wish there was one on the north side of the river (Updated 230804). One more time. This time had the El Diablo, no bun, no onion rings and added a medium egg. Delicious (Updated 240317) Woke up craving a burger. Had to drive to the south side to get one (hint hint). Had the spicy avocado burger, no bun with an egg on top. Wife had the Upstream BLT on the GF bun. Great as normal. Just wish they had one up in Parkville or Zona..

If you can overcome the cognitive dissonance that arises from paying $50/pp to cook your own food, this place is good-ish. It's good in class. I'll elaborate: Grill it yourself style restaurants appear somewhat uncommonly in the Midwest. They are more common on the coasts, while often couched in the aura of Korean or Mongolian or whatever. To like this place, you must be comfortable with the idea you are paying for the novelty of the experience. My 11 year old is; I would prefer to pay someone else to cook my food when I eat out. Moving past that notion. For what it is, and in comparison with similar style restaurants, I had the following observations: 1) The beef dishes lacked enough flavor distinction to make higher quality cuts shine. My wife preferred the chuck to the ribeye simply because it was easier to manipulate with tongs and did not taste bad comparatively; 2) The pork belly preparation was underwhelming when it could have been the star of the show. I wouldnhave preferred a cured element or a smoked element to make the cut shine rather than taste like thin pork chops; 3) Sides and accouterments are the real sleeper-crowd-pleasers here. The fried calamari - lovely. The gyoza - yum! 4) What joker said the smores were their favorite? Really?! It was literally a basic smore. A novel idea executed with basic effort. This place is great for a fun night out, or a more social-food setting - office happy hour, get to know you date night, birthdays, or anything involving pre-teens. I don't think it offers a particularly great value for what you actually get, but that is not uncommon for this type of restaurant. The manager told us an all-you-can eat option is coming soon, which is more in line with similar spots on the West Coast. Frankly, I didn't think it was necessary, as we were all very content with the quantity of food we ordered. The all-you-can-eat model would be a better sell for some folks at this price point, at least creating the illusion of good value. They offer some chicken options, some seafood options, and you can make it through gluten free, excepting miso soup (which was a bit overly salty). Ambiance was fine, but nothing special. Table service was fine; the manager was exceptional - attentive, friendly, on-it. In summary, the food is good-ish and the experience is fun, if you are into this sort of thing. I think at this price point there is many better Japanese restaurants in the area, and I'm pretty sure they will even cook the food for you.

There’s plenty of seating and light, as well as several gluten free pastry options— I just wasn’t a huge fan of the fritter, it tasted a little savory to me. I also got the matcha latte with the caramel apple sweetener, which I enjoyed.

Ricco's is one of my favorite Italian spots in OP. Their food is always delicious and they have a good variety for different people's needs (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.). Reasonable prices overall. You can't go wrong with any of the pastas and their dessert cart is maybe my favorite part of any visit. I just tried the Sonoma Torte for the first time and I was FLOORED at how good it was. You have to try it. My fam also loves the mushroom risotto and the salmon. Everything is on the first floor with restrooms in the back. They have outdoor dining when the weather is good. The staff is incredibly nice too.
