I used to love Billie’s back when I was only trying to avoid gluten, their desserts and baked goods are pretty good for being gluten free (even tho a bit spendy) but since being dairy free (due to allergies) Woah #GROSS!! If you are only trying to avoid gluten then the sweets aren’t too bad (but use caution as they still use powdered sugar, cream cheese, and a lot of fatty high calorie ingredients so not good if you’re trying to be health conscious) but if you have to be plant based their options are limited and seriously so disgusting I still can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Just because it is dairy free doesn’t mean it can’t be sweet and taste good, trust me, I’ve had many dairy free/vegan desserts that are SO good I had to call the place and double check because I couldn’t believe it. I ordered the plant based cookie dough bar, snickers bar and chocolate chip cookie. Both bars were dull In flavor, not sweet at all, and TOO many nuts like wow take it easy on the nuts and dates. The cookie was dry and chalky almost choked on it. I’m disappointed because options for dairy free are always limited and Billie’s has so much potential, your entire target market/demographic is very fond of eating with food allergies obviously or we’d be going to a million different places #crumbl!! But save your money and your appetite and DO NOT buy their plant based items!!!! Just make your own at home and they’ll be a million times better I guarantee it.

My friend and I loved this place. I got a cookie and she got the cinnamon roll! You would never know it is gluten free strictly with a taste test. Staff are so nice and accommodating as well! I am recently gluten free and it is so nice to be able to be able to go somewhere where I could eat everything! I was feeling so discouraged being gluten free.

I ordered a gluten-free margarita pizza (gluten sensitive) and it was delicious! A little overcooked in my opinion, but I also understand that it’s hard to work with GF dough when it has barely any moisture. I’ve never been to a pizza place where I could choose either a traditional GF crust or Cauliflower Crust. If I’m back in KC I will want to see how the Cauliflower crust is!!

We have visited many times over the years but wanted to share high praise for a recent experience. We brought visitors from out of town to dine at the Ellisville location because two members of our party of eight have Celiac Disease (total gluten intolerance). The Gluten Free menu was a big draw and did not disappoint. All the GF food was clearly marked when it came to the table. The GF diners loved the food and had no issues after dining here. Our server was attentive and even graciously assisted when a child spilled his milk. Our guests can't wait to come back and dine here again.

Eaten here before and it was great, however this time I got food from them-the picture shows- how much the quantity of an almost $10 salad was. In can't have gluten and said that but they didn't adhere to that...and my medium rare steak was super well done.

My all time favorite Indian food restaurant. Love their lunch buffet! Love their garlic naan, chai tea and mango lassi. Very easy to eat gluten free there, if needed. Every item we've tried on the menu is flavorful and rich and comforting. It's 45 minutes away from where we live but if we're going out for Indian food we always head to Seva!

The food here was excellent! All members of our party enjoyed ourselves. The food was fresh, hot, and packed full of flavor! I really enjoyed their commitment to serving those with gluten allergies. The ciders were delicious and the fact that they showed the sugar content in each made it easy to pick what you desired most. The atmosphere was beautiful. Since it was a nice day in June, the bat door was open and there was a nice breeze. The only complaint were the drivers revving their engines loudly while driving by Service was also exceptional. Our server was attentive and regularly checked to ensure we had what we wanted or needed. I absolutely recommend Brick River Cider!

I enjoy this restaurant every time I visit KC. The decor is inviting, cheerful and natural. The restaurant is very clean and crisp. I especially appreciate the many live plants. The staff is friendly, professional, and caring. They pay special attention to allergies and take them seriously. I ordered takeout tonight and Grace was very attentive to my meal as it was being made. As a note, they have gluten free buns, but they do contain milk (the staff did a great job of telling me). I made the choice to try the buns and can attest that there is a significant enough amount of diary to cause a reaction. They have plenty of options if you have food allergies. Also, they use avocado oil and olive oil to cook.

Stopped here on cross country road trip to experience true Kansas City BBQ. Ordered The Taste of Kansas City platter to share. We subbed the 1/2 chicken with a chicken breast because 2 of us are gluten free and their half chicken is NOT gluten free. Fries are not GF and our waiter said none of the chicken is GF including the wings. I asked if the wings can come plain and he said no. The coleslaw is amazing and our favorite. Well chopped, not sour/bitter. More like sweet with celery seed. Family liked the brisket the best. Honey glazed Baby Back Ribs and pulled pork were good. Slightly dry. Had beans and coleslaw sides. The beans were good too. Two of our family is no gluten free. One had kids chicken fingers and fries - all good. They share onion rings. Are 4 between the two of them. They were high quality, thick cut and enjoyed An overall good stop.

Partner and I have been coming here for ages, and we don’t even live in KC. It is always a must for us. Great service, great atmosphere, great gluten free options, and excellent food. Often a bit of a wait, but never long. I do miss the calmer vibe of the older days before counter ordering, but I can’t argue with the speed. These folks have it figured out.

We decided to try Blue Bird Bistro on my birthday. We went on a Monday evening and made reservations, however, this particular night no reservations were needed and we were seated right away. We got there at 7:30 and stayed until close, it was so relaxing and we didn't feel rushed. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was perfect. The food was a little more bland than I expected but it was still good and hot and fresh. There were plenty of gluten free and dairy free options for me. The cocktails were great! Recommend the catfish bites appetizer. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely visit again.

Our server/bartender Greg was great! He expertly advised us on food and drinks. He even caught that we were brought the wrong pizza before we had a chance to eat it. Super friendly even when balancing multiple tables. And of course the food is always delicious. Love the gluten free options.

Summit pizza I have say, has some absolutely amazing gluten free options for my Celiac girlfriend. We love coming to this place because they have really good food imo. However, over the last year, we’ve decided to order and pick up from the LS location instead of doing dine in most of the time. That has caused a lot of issues with our online orders. For example, we order the same thing every Saturday/sunday, every weekend for about a year. And they have not, ONE TIME, made the order correctly. I understand it happens sometimes, we are all human I get that. But these cooks must be blind because I have not had a single order be correct. We order the GF garlic bread, every single time I double check it, it’s gonna be cheese bread instead. Without a doubt in my mind these people will make your online order wrong. Same thing with the pizza. We get a GF Summit stockyard and half the time it comes out as a supreme pizza… 😂. It’s not like they get it right so it’s hard to give them grace at this point. Great food great people, but if you order online good luck getting what you ordered, you are gonna have to wait an extra 10-15 for your actual order.

I am celiac and it was a wonderful experience! Our server Valerie was so knowledgeable and sweet! They have so many gluten free and vegan options! I was very impressed! The food was absolutely amazing!! I got the chicken skewers and the fries. I can't wait to try all of the other gluten free options! I found my new favorite restaurant!

I love this place. The bread is just.... 🤤. They make it fresh in house along with all their sauces. I havent had anything here I didnt like. There is a nice selection of gluten free options as well. Portions are very worth the $. Some personal favorites are the brocolli chicken Alfredo, chicken parm (it is a BIG portion so be prepared), and the pizzas. My mother LOVES the fried ravioli and my husband likes any of the seafood he's tried. Please understand this is a family run business. The service is hit or miss, but the food is worth it. There is almost always a wait, but there are shops and a little wine tasting place near by. Buckner is a very small but charming little town. The patio is lovely when the weather is nice.

We tried Favazza’s around 1:30 p.m., so it wasn’t busy at all. Overall, it was just okay—an expensive, average experience. We started with the toasted ravioli, which was actually pretty good, nice, and crispy with a flavorful filling. For entrées, we had the manicotti, the pasta con broccoli with pink sauce, and the gluten-free shrimp with pasta, plus a dinner salad. Everything tasted fine, but nothing really stood out as exceptional, especially for the price. We sat on the patio, which was unfortunately extremely loud—even with few people around, the noise echoed and made conversation difficult. Service was a real disappointment. Our waitress was not attentive and kept disappearing for long stretches, leaving us waiting for refills and check-ins. In the end, it felt like we paid more than the quality and experience justified.

Started coming here because it is a spitting image of another pizza company where I went to college. Who doesn't love an unlimited topping pizza for a decent price? Employees have always done a great job, they're always very friendly here. One time I came in a few min early for an online order, and they were pulling mine out but it had a big hole! They remade it ASAP, and were super apologetic about the wait. They were slammed that night too. The only downside is they don't have options for those with gluten intolerance (salad will be cross contaminated).

We pulled in here after a day at SDC. We came because my sister found them highly rated on a gluten-free site. Portions are super generous and sooo delish!!! We had pulled pork, ribs, corn casserole, potato salad & mac & cheese. Every single item was fantastic!! The owner was taking orders and delivered food to our table. They were very respectful to my sister's allergy & that sealed the deal! We will definitely return!! We were super hungry & forgot to take a pic before we had eaten 😅 but here's one with most items!

My family decided to give this place a chance even though we are vegan and gluten free. The wait was 2+ hours to be seated. When we were seated our table wasn't clean, it was caked with sauces and stuff. I cleaned our table and chairs and the cloth was nasty. We were hungry so we stayed, but we didn't get our food for another 1.5 hours. Luckily there was a bean bag toss to keep the kids (and let's be honest adults) busy. They ran out of crayons and coloring paper. When the food finally came out, they had cross contaminated the vegan gluten free pizza with the non vegan pizza and my daughter and I got really sick. Needless to say, if you have food allergies, don't go there. We learned our lesson the hard way.

LOVED this place! Celiac here… not only was the server polite and attentive, but VERY knowledgeable about the “safe” options for me. And they have TONS of safe options for gluten allergies including a dedicated fryer. Food was exceptional!! I had the pot roast and could eat it every time I’m here now. Went back the next night and got a burger on GF bun and was great! Other fam members LOVED the he nachos and chicken BLT. Will absolutely make this a normal stop when we are in town
