The place was exactly what we needed, close to the beach, quiet, good food, and convenient. We were craving some vegetables and were able to have some fresh food, the soup was good, the calamari was quite delish! Great flavor and nicely crisp, would come back just for those. They also accommodate gluten free options, the waitress was great by making sure about it being gluten free which was really kind.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful experience dining at the restaurant at BMD Northcliffe surf club. We have a teenager who is Coeliac (Gluten free) the menu is fabulous so many choices for her, she felt very included which can be a rare experience for people with celiac disease. All our meals came out together and in good timing. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Our meals were large, fresh, hot & delicious. Wife and I stumbled on this place and decided to get a sandwich before leaving for the airport. We were told it would take 7mins but it took 18mins to make a gluten free mushroom toastie. Other patrons ordered after us received their meals in a reasonable time frame but we were left waiting. There was only one person making sandwiches and the other 3 staff members were just standing around talking. Disappointed since we were excited to try but unfortunately the service and inefficiency left a negative experience.
Overall quality of the sandwich was decent but $18 for a small toastie seems over priced if you're comparing it to the regular sour dough option and we paid extra for the gluten free bread.
We had high hopes but the service definitely needs to improve.
