The meal was amazing! The drinks were amazing! And our server, Brandylynn was amazing! She created a meal for our picky teenager and had a bright fun vibe! Also tons of great Gluten Free options. 10/10!

Loved the pizza here as it’s thin style. I had one of my own creation and my fiancé had a gluten free with prosciutto, pear, and brie. Delicious. Gotta try different pizzas next time. Was great.

Staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient to explain their Gluten Free bread, and homemade chips, etc for me. I'm actually asymptomatic celiac, but always state I have a "severe gluten allergy" when asking for assistance. They actually asked me when ordering/checking out, "preference or celiac?" So, I didn't ask for their safety procedures.
I had a turkey Reuben with Cole slaw on it (substituting the Swiss for Havarti). It was fantastic! The meat is thinly sliced, and I prefer thicker slices, but it was so flavorful. They had 6" cherry or apple pies (in boxes), as well as some brownies and stuff. The cherry was delicious! Tart cherries, with a lovely crumble on top. It has roasted almonds in the crumble, and possibly slightly under the topping. Worth the stop!!! We were passing through town during their annual cherry festival.
A cozy spot with a relaxed vibe, perfect for celebrating special moments, boasting exceptional service and a must-try drink selection.

Me and my husband made a reservation here for our wedding anniversary. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. This restaurant deserves all 5 stars more than any other restaurant I’ve ever been to. The waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten free and all of their options. He was very knowledgeable about the daily specials. He came and checked on us a perfect amount of times which is very hard to find in todays restaurant world. All the waitstaff were extremely patient the whole night. The atmosphere was relaxing and set off an amazing vibe. I highly recommend making a reservation for this place as they are always busy. The food was the best food me and my husband both had our whole trip. Our drinks were made perfectly and dessert was amazing. This restaurant deserves a pat on the back for their amazingness. If me and my husband are ever back in town again we will definitely be coming back.
Great spot where they make things right, just be aware of potential order mix-ups.

My wife had gotten the chicken there before but was just told the last time that it can have cross contact. (She has to eat gluten free) everything else was great! Our the order was messed up, but then was made right.

Don't forget you can get ice cream to accompany whatever pie you like. Sooo worth it!!! Of course the pies are absolutely delicious! Lesser-known is that they have a lot of gluten-free options and their sandwiches and soups are also very good.

The food is fine but every single time we go through the drive thru something is wrong with our order. Missing items. Wrong sandwich, cheese stuck to the container (we order gluten buns for my husband). Tonight was no different. Missing a Cole slaw and my burger had the wrong toppings.
A charming spot with a cozy vibe, modern merch, and tasty buckwheat crepes, perfect for a relaxed meal and enjoying drinks on the cute patio.

Prices were good, food and drinks were delicious and the portions were pretty substantial! My friend is gluten sensitive so we were very happy they had the GF Buckwheat crepes as an option.
It was easy to take our leftovers to go in the paper sleeve.
The patio seating area was so cute.

Let me start by saying my server was phenomenal! I have celiac disease and she was so helpful to me. I was there with a large group of people. My only regret was that food arrived so staggered that people were completely done with their meal before others got served. My food was delicious. New York Strip served exactly as ordered.
Awesome vegan food and great staff. The kitchen is very accommodating to vegan and gluten-free. The curry is my favorite and there are so many options.
Perfect for groups, this lively spot offers a fun atmosphere and quick seating, making it a go-to for a vibrant dining experience.

A group of 12 of us walked in to Firefly restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner, and even though we didn’t have a reservation, they sat us within 5 minutes of arriving.
The service there was great, and they were very accommodating and helpful when I asked about gluten free options. While they do not have a gluten free menu, they had several meals that could be prepared gluten free, which I appreciated.
Overall it was a nice meal for everyone, the atmosphere was fun, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Definitely recommend!

Go for the beer, not the food. I wanted to like this place more than I did. Being gluten intolerant I'm always on the lookout for good gf resturaunts. Their menu sounds great and the fact they also brew gf beer made it a no brainer to try.
The pros:
Nice atmosphere.
Great gf beer
The cons:
Food is lackluster. They try, the menu is informed, inventive, and locally sourced, but the food was on the bland side, tortilla chips overcooked, the smoked fish dip was overly fishy or old, pecorrino fries didn't taste like pecorrino, caramelized onions on a burger were barely cooked and no where near caramelized.
We did eat early in the day, perhaps before the regular chef came in. We might try the food again, but likely we'll eat elsewhere and just go back for a great gf beer.
This spot boasts stunning waterfront views and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a favorite for locals seeking a memorable dining experience.

This lovely restaurant has become a go-to for us since discovering it during restaurant week several years ago. It has been a great place for me as someone with a significant gluten allergy. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff wonderful, and the food beautifully prepared and presented. Tonight, the food was still delicious, staff were still amazing, and the atmosphere still stunning— but the ratio of food to price and lack of options to bolster our meal with added sides left us sorely disappointed (this is coming from a TC native recently relocated to the Naples, Florida area— one of the highest priced places in Florida. Having dined at multiple places on 5th Avenue in Naples, we did not feel Artisan’s menu nor the prices were suited to TC.) We will have to find alternatives while in Traverse City as we left quite disappointed.
(As an aside, my husband and I split everything we got, an appetizer [$18 for a bowl of soup] and scallops [3 medallions on a bed of beautifully crafted sauces and thinly sliced fruit for $46. No drinks or dessert.] We often share our food and never feel lacking.)
If money to amount of food is not a concern to you, we most certainly recommend this restaurant.

We just used Sugar 2 Salt to cater our daughter’s wedding. We could not be more thrilled with the service and food quality. We feel like shouting it from the roof tops. To start, the owner, Stephanie, was incredibly easy to work with. She listened to the ideas of our daughter and her partner but offered suggestions of her own to make the food experience truly spectacular. For instance, she suggested that we consider an oyster bar during the cocktail reception. This very reasonably priced addition was a huge hit. It added such a nice touch of elegance. When we asked about a late night snack for our guests she suggested that we serve it back at the resort where our guests were staying (rather than the wedding venue) and her team put together an impressive spread of pork sliders and truffle fries with loads of topping options. Our guests were so delighted when they arrived back at the resort and were greeted by this tasty feast. We also wanted to offer cherry pie as a dessert along with the wedding cake. No problem — S2S picked up and stored the pies and then placed a small slice together with each cake serving. Finally, and importantly, the food was delicious! Chef Jonathan created a fantastic dinner including a salad featuring apple cider poached pears and goat cheese, brisket with mushrooms and red wine pan jus as well as chimichurri, fish cakes with the most delightful tarragon aioli, roast vegetables and root vegetable gratin with crispy rainbow chard. We had several guests who consider themselves foodies and could not stop raving about how amazing all the food was. It was truly superb. Finally, S2S was very accommodating for those with dietary preferences, whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or lactose intolerant. Nothing was too difficult to handle. We cannot recommend S2S more highly to anyone looking for an event caterer. They definitely exceeded our high expectations and then some. Thank you S2S for your contributions to a magical affair!

Great atmosphere. We had the buscuits and gravy and salmon Benedict. I was really excited they had gluten free English muffins and they were pretty good. The dirty chai tea latte was so good I got another one for the road. Kind of a bummer they charge $1.00 more for oat milk. Our server Kaitlyn was quick, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

If you wish to eat fresh, healthy prepared food you must visit. I'm vegan and gluten free and did find something to eat and did not become I'll after eating out due to numerous allergies and food intolerances . It's clean food, a rarity when one eats out. It's also a great place to support since they source their organic food locally. Only suggestion I could make is that they should offer brown rice.
An unforgettable ambiance with stunning architecture makes it perfect for special occasions, where every dish impresses with flavor.

Wow! I don't know how to rate it because we didn't stay to eat. The menu was kind of limited to a special kind of food. Lots of unique listings. We've eaten here before and the food has been fantastic. But what kind of turned off was a woman bartender. She was heavy set with short hair and was very loud and not very friendly. I asked about gluten-free options and she wasn't very pleasant and her answer was that there was a gluten-free pasta but it couldn't be made with most of their dishes. This isn't a very reliable review because she might have just been having a bad night. We're going to go back and try it again.

What a great place! Our server Ethan was outstanding! Such a positive attitude and didn’t miss a beat! Our daughter has celiac disease and can’t be exposed to even a crumb of gluten, and Ethan communicated with the kitchen to make sure they took extra precautions to keep her safe. My husband LOVED his chicken sandwich and our sons loved the huge portions of their bowls and the quality and taste. My personal fav were the fried green tomatoes. It is not fancy but perfect food and service. They have a very cool outdoor area with a food truck serving outside and live entertainment at times. We plan to go back. We hear it is a favorite of the locals.
My wife and I had our wedding dinner at Forrest’s place and it is hard to pick what was the best part because he and his wife were nothing short of excellence. They did everything possible to cater to all of our needs and requests while maintaining COVID protocols, which was no simple task. Now the important part, the food!
Forrest built us a tapas style menu which needed to include gluten free options. Every dish they served was not only well cooked, but truly wonderful.
Forrest, A Food Studio was a memorable part of the best day of our lives!
We can’t wait to return for our one year anniversary!
I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast at NoBo Mrkt and it was so yummy!! We both got the breakfast hash with sausage and a coffee each. We are gluten free and the menu was very clear concerning allergens, which is very important to us. The service was quick and friendly. This is such a cute, trendy place that would be fun to get a cocktail at in the evening.

Tonight was my first experience at the Burrow TC. I asked the waitress for info on what menu options didn’t contain gluten and she couldn’t give me an answer. All she said was “we cannot accommodate celiacs”
I have celiac disease so I made the decision to leave. She was unapologetic and it was a pretty awkward experience. I’ve never been turned away from a restaurant before.

Finally, authentic SE Asian Food in Traverse City!
Before I get to the food, a quick but important commentary on the service and owners. They are KIND, warm, sweet and passionate about their food. You know that feeling you get when people actually care? They've got that going on, big time. They also accommodate allergies in a generous way: they offered to stock gluten-free soy sauce for me (Tamari) and use it if I call in and know I'll be wanting a dish with soy in it. They told me that they substitute mushroom sauce for vegetarians (I'm not a vegetarian but it's nice to know that for any out there)
The food: this stuff is the real deal. I'm a pho soup fan and drive to Grand Rapids 3-4x a year just to get in a pho fix. Theirs will save me a few drives.
Their curries are complex and nuanced.
One of the things I find cool is they have a very specific regional take on some dishes (the Vermicelli bowl comes to mind).
If you've only ever been exposed to Asian food via American "Chinese" food and expect that kind of experience and taste here, you'll be let down. But if you've ever traveled outside the US, lived in a big city with more ethnic food options, or just like a more complex flavor profile, give Samsara a try.
Charming spot with adorable outdoor seating and a vibe that keeps you wanting to come back for more!

Loved my visit here- will be back lots! As a gluten free person I was bummed when the former restaurant in this space closed because they had so many gluten free options. But Chubby Unicorn easily did one of their delicious signature sandwiches gluten free. The bread was so good that I almost sent it back convinced it wasn’t gluten free. Cute vibes, super friendly team working. And the outdoor patio is just the cutest!
