Had a great experience here with celiac disease, dining out with a friend who also has celiac. The server answered our questions confidently, and we were happy to learn that they have a dedicated fryer. We were told that the bone-in wings are gluten free (along with most of the sauces), and the boneless wings do contain gluten. We opted for burgers, and they were delicious! So were the fries!

We used Donatellis Catering for our wedding day, and they were amazing to work with. The tasting was a great experience; they provided one of every dish to try as well a few gluten free options since I am gluten free myself. They also had all their linen, silverware, plate, and cup options laid out to choose from. They were helpful in making decisions to keep our costs as low as possible, while still making sure we got everything we wanted! The food was buffet style at our wedding and we went with the Caesar Salad, Tortellini Carbonara, Mostaccholi, and Tuscan Chicken. It also included garlic bread and roasted vegetables! Everyone raved about the food and said it was one of the few times they’ve actually left a wedding full and satisfied with their meal. We were able to pick up the linens the day before to get them on the tables the next morning, and an employee of Donatelli’s stayed until the end of the night to take everything with them and help clean up. The next day they had all our leftovers boxed up and ready to be picked up at the restaurant! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I’ve had much better tasting and textured gluten free and vegan selections elsewhere. I would not choose this place as my top option if I needed either of those as a serious accommodation. Pricing for the quality and the service was basically awful. My table got three drinks (two small hot teas and a small latte) and three cake slices and paid $45. The latte was up-charged $2 because I am lactose intolerant and ordered oat milk for it. I understand an up charge because the milk is typically more expensive than regular, but basically every other cafe for miles well out-competes a $2 extra charge. The most expensive I’ve seen locally before this was $1. In a perfect world allergy and intolerance accommodations would cost no extra, as people like me can’t really help wanting to live like others and have a little cafe latte that won’t hurt us. When asked if I wanted a box I said I would, as I still had a half slice of cake left. No box was ever brought to my table and the waiter never mentioned it again even as we said goodbye to him and left. In fact, almost every interaction with the waiter was tinted with what seemed like haughtiness or disdain on his end. Maybe because we only came and sat for desserts and coffee/tea and therefore were not “high value” customers. Overall this place seems full of itself and really not worth the trouble and expense to have sub-par cakes and a cup of tea. Hoping this is a rare experience.

We had a lovely late lunch between flights at the Minneapolis airport. I am Celiac so the menu was so refreshing! Our server, Ken, was very attentive and very efficient. The only downside was the cost! Our lunch was almost $150! (with two drinks each and tip).

Waited 45 minutes for 2 omelettes with hashbrowns. Omelettes were small, ham was sliced up lunchmeat and the hashbrowns were so salty they were inedible. The female staff person emptying the garbage went straight to touching clean silverware and then to serve our food without washing her hands. The only good part of the visit was the gluten-free chocolate muffin, however, I will find out in a couple hours if it was actually GF. I would not visit this place again.

Lots of GF options in the pasta and pizza sections (not many in the sandwiches or starters). I was excited to hear that their Alfredo sauce doesn’t use a roux so it was safe to eat! However, it’s frustrating that they make you ask the server what is able to be made GF instead of denoting it on the menu the way they do plant-based options.

Thank you, Nelson's Deli! The process to order meals for our staff training was simple and stress free. We experienced kindness, and timely responses when we called to inquire, emailed our order, and called the day before to make payment. Delivery staff was great too! Our staff loved the lunch! The sandwiches and deli salads were tasty! Loved the fresh and flavorful ingredients. The gluten free option for sandwich and dessert in the box lunches was a huge plus for us. We will order again in the future!

“Gluten friendly” at your own risk. Fries are marked that they can be gluten free, but the cheese sauce they come with is beer cheese, so the waitress had to clarify that she’d bring that on the side. And they don’t have a GF frier, so she asked if that would be ok. Maybe I ate too many fries, since it wasn’t clear that they came with the burger too (w/ no other option). The gf burger bun was good (covered in poppy seeds) & held up well. Cocktails were also good and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for.

Loved this place! If you’re gluten free - they will take good care of you! My kid has a gluten allergy and they were so careful to accommodate and she was enamored with the food. Service was fantastic also! Great experience! Will make this a regular stop when in the Twin Cities! ❤️

Nice menu with clearly labeled items for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. Food was nicely seasoned and drinks were delicious. Only caveat was the papas had an odd flavor to them with the sweet paprika.

Gluten Free and Vegetarian options galore! Menu is extensive. Food is consistently good. Online ordering is nice and easy through their website, and they make pickup easy. Interior is comfortable and a great place if you decide to dine-in. Absolute must try Thai restaurant.

We chose this place for a get together with some friends and our kids. It was suggested by other parents as a place for a fun and unique experience for all ages. We went on a Sunday so there wasn't much airplane action. We did get to see 1 plane take off as we were leaving. They offered a kid's menu, gluten-free options and a variety of cocktails. We went for the breakfast options: french toast for the kids, coffee, tea, french toast sandwich, mushroom toast & eggs. Our friend's had the Holman's Breakfast. All was delicious and everyone left with a content and happily filled belly. We look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy their outdoor seating and to check out the dinner menu.

Great place to grab a bite to eat with friends. They have a nice drink/beverage menu and offer gluten free and vegan options. The staff was very friendly and helpful at pointing out what could be made gluten free and what wasn't! We will definitely be back.

I've been here multiple times and I'm never disappointed. I get a burger on the gluten free bun each time. They have a good assortment of toppings. I normally get the Californian. The fries are safe from cross contamination as well. Everything is always very tasty and the portions are plentiful. The service is quick and helpful. Try out their garlic aioli. Every location I've visited is just as good and I've been to four. I stop in every time I'm in Minneapolis and if you want a good burger in short order from a clean restaurant with nice people, this is the place to be (and when you're gluten/dairy-free it's nice to know you can enjoy without issue).

Event day menu (Wild game) still had TONS of gluten free options. Meat entrees, pasta, pizza and buns. The spaghetti was the best GF spaghetti I've ever had. I even asked for the brand they used because it held together so well I was almost worried they were real gluten. Anyway, delicious! Loved the chocolate torte too.

Amazing drinks and food at Cafe Astoria. I got a rainbow matcha and my partner got a candy cane latte! They do not disappoint. We also got crepes and they were delicious. They offer gluten free options which is amazing for those who have an intolerance. Much appreciated and we will be back!!

Over priced, not good food. I ordered a 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich on gluten free bread & tomato basil soup. $12!! It was a very, very small 1/2 sandwich partially grilled then a very small cup (not bowl) that contained about 1/3 cup of 'soup' that was so thick (and partly burnt) it shouldn't have been called soup. We were very disappointed and will not return.

Never thought I'd be raving about a breakfast plate of 2 eggs with toast and hashbrowns, but here we are. The gluten-free bread is 💣. Tastes homemade. Hashbrowns are a work of art - crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. Really enjoyed my cozy little booth on an early rainy morning. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area.

Perfect weather on one of the nicest patios in the city. The food was excellent as always, especially the halibut cheeks, a rare find in the midwest. The celiac member of our party also really appreciated the very wide range of options available. Our server, Bryan, was outstanding. His pleasantness, knowledge and timing all contributed greatly to an entirely wonderful evening.

Food is REALLY good here! Impressed by their sandwich station. They bake their own bread which unfortunately was sold out & I can't have gluten. Their version of a French baguette with assorted deli, fresh veggies & pickled carrots is the traditional vietnamese sandwich. Pho broth is really flavorful. My bf had the noodle stirfry, which was very good! Highly recommend!!

Please do not offer gluten free buns if you are not going to educate your staff on proper safety for your gluten free / Celiac Disease customers. I couldn’t order from the kiosk because it didn’t have the option for the GF bun so I had to go to the cashier and when I asked about the gf bun she was confused but someone in the back said they had one. Then I asked if the sauce was GF and no one knew so I just said no sauce then but they were very confused because their was 2 different spreads on the burger and I said neither if you cannot confirm if they are GF and then the attitude started. I wanted to cry right there. It’s hard enough traveling but to be given attitude when trying to get food when you’re hungry, not knowing if it will make you sick or not is just so stressful. I have to throw this away because I literally don’t know if they messed with my sandwich just to be nasty or not.

Their online menu is labeled with gluten free options, that alone deserves is a 5-star rating! So many restaurants don't do this and we are thankful they took the time to do so. The Tia Maria coffee pudding was DELICIOUS. The Old Fashioned left something to be desired. Excellent dining experience. Everyone on the staff was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, prompt, and friendly! Our waiter answered all of our menu related questions beautifully. I am gluten intolerant, and my dining partner was not, so I'll leave notes after the items about the gluten content. We told the staff beforehand, and they were great about answering my questions about gluten containing ingredients. We tried 'I Smoked my breakfast' and 'Where's the smoke?' cocktails. Both were great! 'I Smoked my breakfast' was smooth, sweet, and spirit forward. 'Where's the smoke?' had the signature smokiness of mezcal balanced with light and refreshing citrus notes, not too sweet. I'm looking forward to trying more cocktails in the future. The menu also has low ABV and nonalcoholic craft cocktail options, so there's something for everyone. We had: Patatas bravas - a generous serving of crisp potatoes covered in a balanced spicy sweet tomato sauce and mayo drizzle. These took me back to the restaurants in Barcelona, a very nice representation of a traditional favorite. (Gluten friendly as is) Haloumi cheese - the green sauce and bean salad paired nicely with the fried haloumi cheese, I would order this again. (Gluten friendly as is) Beet salad - very good! I always enjoy a good beet salad. (Order without crackers and barley to make gluten friendly) Cheeseburger - a good burger and something on the menu for the less adventurous diner. (Bun, not gluten friendly) Roasted piri piri chicken - seriously amazing. The waiter described the heat level and flavors perfectly when he said the 6 out of 10 spice of the chicken is balanced with the buttermilk sauce on the bed of green beans and potatoes. I would eat this chicken again and again. (Gluten friendly as is) Chocolate cheesecake - this crustless cheesecake caught my eye as a gluten friendly dessert option. Garnished with a chocolate ganache and candied orange pieces, this final course was both exactly what I needed and what put me over the edge of way too full. It's hard to pace yourself when everything is so good. (Gluten friendly as is) We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner during our meal. He was friendly and kind, the ideal host. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant! I'll certainly be back.
