I love this place. Hand made pizza, made to order, in a classic Italian, corner pizza shop atmosphere. The owners are lovely and hospitable, and they even gluten free options that are to die for. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough

My wife, girlfriend and I visited Toro of Albany last night and the experience left us all dissatisfied. The blue corn tortillas used for the gluten free application of the chicken tacos were meely and unappetizing. The 32$ enchiladas with shrimp were 90% tortilla. Each only had 1 shrimp and very little filling. For the price tag, we expected a fantastic meal and it was not delivered. The margaritas were ok but at 15$ a piece, seemed over priced. The only bright spot was our bar tender, rob I believe. He was smart, funny, knowledgeable and overall the best part of the experience. Overall I would say visit this spot for drinks and conversation only.

Classic smoothie bar and health food style spot but all vegan and gluten free so their whole menu can be enjoyed by everyone! Their salads are so delicious I loved the fresh and bright flavors of the Thai salad, while the salads are very well priced, their juice is tasty but surprisingly expensive compared to their much larger smoothies so I'd definitely go for those next time

My favorite place for pasta! A true ma and pa place! Cozy, intimate, friendly and off the beaten path! Only those that know, know how great it is! And they do gluten free ! Just call early for a reservation!

Great atmosphere and delicious food. The Delmonico's steak is a meal that can't be beat especially paired with the antipasto for two. Gluten free options, including GF pasta, are available. The bar area has a nice vibe. Staff are professional, helpful and friendly.

We had a "miss" not long ago due to some miscommunication about gluten sensitivity (partly our fault). When we brought it to the restaurant's attention, their response was amazing. There were multiple followup communications from management and ownership, with everything focused on not just an apology for what happened, but a clear desire to learn how to improve communications to prevent any reoccurrence for ANY customer. It is wonderful to deal with people who truly care. P.S. The food, beverages, service, and atmosphere are all great, and the pricing is fair for what you get. We'll go back. Heck, we already have!

I would say gluten friendly, not gluten free. I have celiac disease and we have eaten here twice. First experience was good! Today’s visit was unfortunate. I spoke to the staff about my food allergy, they seemed confident, and my food came out with the little allergen stick which made me feel extremely comfortable. Within minutes of eating (my delicious food) I was sick and in their bathroom for 44 minutes until I was good enough to make it home and be ill at home. I spoke to a staff member on my way out so they were aware and they were extremely kind about the situation. If you choose to be gluten free or have no food allergies, great place and delicious food! Otherwise, be aware they are not able to accommodate allergies fully. Unfortunately, my family will not be back due to me getting glutened and being ill.

Really happy I did not read the reviews ahead of time. This place was great. I was blown away by the amount of options that are gluten free. I had to try the gluten free mac and cheese and wow it did not disappoint. Also tried the tofu and quinoa bowl, the carrot chili vinagrette was so good! The service was top notch, and they even threw in a lemonade, I tried the habiscus lemonade which was not too sweet, just perfect. Highly recommend.

So happy we tried this place. I searched good gluten free food in Albany and it came up and it didn't disappoint. A great date night spot, we sat at the bar and it was cozy. The chef accommodated my gluten allergy and make a GF Chicken Marsala dish which was amazing. You can just tell it was made from scratch, even the sauce. So tasty! Definitely different than a popular chain restaurant where I normally get my Chicken Marsala dish. My boyfriend got a fish dish and said it tasted phenomenal. We both got lemon inspired drinks. The Limoncello martini was divine! We will be back, highly recommend.

Rosanna’s on Dove Street in Albany is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. For starters the restaurant absolutely beautiful and has so much incredible history. The building has been a landmark in Albany for over 175 years! We went on a Tuesday and the restaurant was packed— so if that’s not a testament to how great everything is, I don’t know what else could be. The chef, understanding dietary restrictions, which I have celiac disease, and ensures everyone is accommodated. The staff is knowledgeable and so kind, and their gluten-free menu is the most extensive in the capital region, which is inspired by New York City’s culinary scene. This is what we had: Drinks: I had a Cosmo Mocktail and my husband a ‘Paper Plane’ bourbon cocktail Appetizers: LC Shrimp Balls, Fried Artichoke Hearts, and Gluten-Free Grilled Focaccia with pesto dipping sauce Dinner: Bolognese, Lemon Chicken Breast with Risotto, and Grilled Sausage and Polenta Dessert: Pistachio Pudding with an almond cookie, and crushed pistachios Everything we had was Gluten Free and safely prepared in a dedicated gluten-free area. 🤗 Rosanna’s easily gets a 10/10 in our book. We can't wait to go back for more!

The atmosphere and vibe of this cafe is amazing! The entertainment on weekends are nothing that I have experienced anywhere else. Mr. Ventura is always polite, attentive and accommodating. The staff are as well! Really giving you that welcoming hometown coffee shop feeling. Considering I drive 30 minutes out of my way to grab a bite to eat. That should say enough about how delicious the food is. But if I must, the food is just as excellent! The Love Salad is my favorite! They also have gluten free options! This is Just a steller place to experience!

Such a great spot. Enjoyable. Calm. Cute boutique items. Facial and massage had...pricey, but normal for the experience. Nicely laid out. Hot tub, lounge chairs, access to spa water all very nice. You can stay all day. Can come and go and come back. I do wish they had hair ties or clips. The restaurant.... Outstanding. I cannot really say enough. The food was so good. Everything is gluten free. Rich tastes, flavors, healthy, good portions. Drinks were delicious. I would highly recommend the restaurant. Yes, most people sit around in robes. You don't have to. If I were Rating the restaurant, solid 5🌟.

We had a great dinner! This was our first time here, and we sat at the bar prior to dinner. Ralph the bartender greeted us with a smile and made us some amazing martinis! When seated, we were served by Neil and Alex. Our food was exceptional. (Sidenote: they have gluten free rolls if you ask) Zach recommended some wine and told us a bit about the winemaker. Overall it was a great experience.

Great pasta/parm dinners, sandwiches, deli. Has imported gluten-free Italian dry pasta, desserts, foods, their own sauce, friendly service, best to arrive hungry to this unassuming neighborhood treasure Update: Just look at this pizza-- pizza reminding you what good pizza can still be. Real ingredients. Light, fluffy, crispy crust; bendable firm base holding up to all the veggies and the heaps of baked cheese.. ..simply one of the best capital district pizza experiences, modestly sharing space with the deli. This pizza is worth a shlep.

The one in Albany is better. This one is pretty good. Last time we were there we ended up under their Sonos so it was loud for us but probably not for other patrons. The Orange San Pellagrino was more like OJ and seltzer (although we have had a bottle of Orange San Pellagrino before, so maybe this wait staff didn’t know?). The chicken was definitely not the slow cooked, tender version that it is in Albany. However, the pita is buttery (texture) and tasty. The harissa is spicy and flavorful. The lamb is tender and not grizzly. It’s just great food that’s unique. No other places cook the same way or fare. Most if not all are gluten free, soy free, nut free and dairy free. It’s an awesome place that almost always gets 5 stars from us but just slipped a little on the last trip. We will definitely be back!

What's not to love: great food, terrific service, local brews, congenial atmosphere. There's something for everyone on the menu - from specialized pizzas and hearty sandwiches (far better than the average pub fare) for the hungry to some creative and delicious salad combinations for the healthy eater. The menu isn't huge, but there are some great vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. I chose the barley greens salad and found it delicious and filling. My partner chose the personal pizza and thought it was great. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I can't wait to return and try some of their other options.

Had an EXCELLENT dinner at LaZeez. Every entree was fabulous. We live in NYC and honestly the quality at LaZeez far surpassed what we eat in the city. Will definitely be coming back to Albany for more. Also I have celiac and they were very accommodating about gluten free!

We arrived in Albany on a Sunday to find that restaurants in town were generally closed, however we discovered The City Beer Hall and fell in love with it immediately. In fact we had such a wonderful meal we returned on the following evening as well. The menu was perfect and catered for my wife who was gluten intolerant with a number of offerings on the menu. Our choice of drinks was well catered for as well. We loved the burgers and the peach salad we shared was perfect. We can highly recommend this wonderful that is housed in the historic old telephone company building. It was such a friendly space to dine. Most importantly for us when we are going out is the service and care of the wait staff. We were absolutely blessed by having the gorgeous Katrina, look after us on both nights we visited for dinner. In fact it was her warmth and hospitality that made our return so easy. Katrina explained the options available and too, extra care to make sure my wife’s gluten allergy was understood in the kitchen. We loved both our visits and would return in a heart beat should we ever revisit Albany.
