The General Tso’s Cauliflower was crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! Also ordered an enchilada bowl- they forgot my tortillas, but it tasted fine. My husband enjoyed his burger. Gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu. Would definitely return!

where do I start? 😍
the service is chefs kiss 👌- I’ve always had amazing servers who try to make our experience special.
✨I could write a love song about
the wedge salad. I get it every time.
✨I dream about the thunderbird pizza. (also, all the pizzas can come gluten free! big win) It’s slightly spicy and sweet.
✨I wish I could swim in the espresso martini.. I think it's the best one in Memphis. they have a revolving drink menu and I've never tried one I didn't like.
my only complaint is it's a little loud in the center of the room so it's hard to hear if you're sitting at a large table.
Experience a unique dining adventure with a free pink Cadillac pick-up, rich Elvis history, and a vibrant atmosphere that encapsulates Memphis's charm.

Marlow’s Barbecue is an absolute gem! Not only is it rich in history—Elvis himself used to eat and hang out here when he was a sheriff—but the food and service are top-notch. Did I mention that they’ll come pick you up in a limo for free? It’s complementary, but don’t forget to tip the amazing Driver ,who is also an awesome person. Three generations of owners have kept this place alive, and you can feel the passion in every bite. Our server was Kristy. She was fairly new there and an absolute prize. The current owner Michael is on-site and incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to celiac and food allergies, which is a rare and much-appreciated find. I have celiac so finding somewhere safe to eat everywhere I go is always a goal. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s Elvis memorabilia everywhere. This place is like a museum and an incredible restaurant and the food is absolutely phenomenal. For me, this place checks all the boxes. I can’t recommend it enough!

Location was clean and the staff was very pleasant! We were first time customers and they took their time to explain the menu. Everyone had a smile on their face and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful and prepared quickly. They also had a gluten free crust option and dairy free cheese available. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I love Amerigo. last week and my visit there, I had a great waiter. My friend and I got there early enough to do the early bird special and I think I'll do that again. All that great food and a glass of wine for a very reasonable price. And I can have gluten-free there and not get sick. Hurrah! I just wish they would find some good gluten-free bread because I miss it so. I know it's been years since they had it, but it was so good! And a treat celiac don't get very often when they go out.

This really is a hidden gem! Speakeasy vibe with an eclectic menu. Gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu which is much appreciated. I had the Jumbo Shrimp & Grits and it was so good! My partner that has no dietary restrictions had the Cajun Pasta. He said it was very good as well.

Went here this evening with a friend visiting from out of town, and it was the perfect dinner. The atmosphere was subdued and comfortable – I’m autistic and have a hard time dining out because so many places are echoey and play loud music. This was very refreshing. The person who served the tableside guacamole was so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive, which is a hard balance – I waited tables and bartended for ten years, I get it – and even that small interaction was so pleasant.
The same goes for our server, Grace, who was also incredibly helpful and patient with recommendations (which I’m so glad I listened to – the lamb sliders were out of this world), very attentive, and just super cool.
My margarita was excellent (and I’m kind of a snob about those) and my friend had nothing but compliments for their mocktail. I love that they put so much care into non-alcoholic options.
Also, my friend is gluten intolerant and there were SO many good GF options. We shared the perfect appetizer with zero effort or pressure to compromise. It’s great to be in a place where people with dietary restrictions don’t have to feel like they’re making a scene, but we can just enjoy a good meal together.
Thanks for a great evening and the 11/10 service. I’ll definitely be back, and I might even try another dish, but seriously, idk how I will, because, again, those sliders… Whew.

The menu is spectacular and the food is every bit as deliciously described. We loved the way the menu wasn’t a fixture and we could construct our own meals. Our gluten free requirements were happily accorded with. Staff from the meet and greet onwards were outstanding, particularly Avery who took care of everything with decorum and humour looking after us and our little girl who summed it up when Avery asked Harper “What was the best for you tonight?” She said “You”!

Babalu East Memphis is not as loud as a Babalu Midtown, but it's still a little loud for a lot of conversation. However, the food is so good (and there are a lot of choices for us celiacs) that I go anyway, when I get a chance. I had a great glass of red sangria (made on site) and my companion had a yummy looking drink, but I forgot what it was. The service was good, and I especially enjoyed the new server who made the guacamole table side. Can't wait to go back!

A little overpriced in our opinion, but delicious steak! The second one that is.
We ordered a medium rare steak and were served a medium well, BUT, the staff made SURE we were happy and raced out an absolutely wonderful filet mignon- free of charge.
One big plus side, was that they offered a gluten-free/vegetarian menu for dietary restrictions.
We enjoyed ourselves and were satisfied in the end.

The food was amazing! Delicious Gluten Free and cauliflower pizza. Good service and would definitely return. Sadly if you want extra dressing for your salad, or a veggie added to your salad like onions; it does come with an up charge.
The food was delicious! Cute atmosphere. They were able to accommodate my gluten free mod to the salmon Benedict. 😋 The hot chai was ok but not exceptional.
We are so excited that we moved close by! They have gluten free options for all sandwiches, though not all menu items. However, they don't have gluten free kitchens. They have great service, am amazing salad bar, and free soft-serve!

Great experience. Our lunch started with a complimentary bowl of popcorn that the severs bring to each table. It was a welcomed snack as we surveyed the menu.
We started off the the GENERAL TSO'S CAULIFLOWER, which was the highlight of the meal. I eat gluten-free, so I finally got to enjoy an appetizer! The hubs said, "We could feed this this to the kids and they would never know it wasn't chicken." It was fantastic and we polished off every piece.
I had the ENCHILADA CHICKEN BOWL (gf). The shredded chicken was tender and complimented by the seasoned rice, black beans, guac and lettuce. I didn't finish it all, but I did make a dent in the Gen. Tso's cauliflower earlier.
The hubs ordered the SOB BURGER with CANDIED BACON. He ate every bite, so I'm assuming that was two thumbs up. The fries were a medium thickness and came out hot!.
The atmosphere was soothing and aesthetically pleasing. I enjoyed looking into the open kitchen while we talked between courses. We will be returning to SOB East!

Great experience. Menu items were not your standard run of the mill options. But server was great at answering questions and confirming which items were, or could be modified to be, gluten-free or vegetarian. And I got to sit in the Priscilla chair! Would definitely recommend or return when I'm in the area.
Always great, fresh wholesome food. Salad bar is top notch, all my favorites with hummus, sprouts, edamame, and balsamic vinaigrette. Lots of gluten free options if you need them.

I’m titling this one of the worst anniversary experiences we’ve probably ever had in 22 years. I will keep it short. To start the valet is not covered between the restaurant and where you drop off. It was raining and we got soaked going into the restaurant. Also, the signage is small for the restaurant and valet, we had to call to find both. Next, my wife is gluten free( gluten intolerance that makes her super sick) she stated this on the reservation and to the server when she asked for a gluten free menu. This did not happen, the wrong food, that looked similar to what she ordered( we thought) and was told by the expo was her food was delivered. We did not find out until she was 3/4 the way complete with the meal. The server and manager were great and super apologetic but this is bad. My wife has not touched gluten in 6+ years, she is now in the restroom and will be there the remainder of the night. This is not a good look for a super expensive restaurant. I have to say my food was excellent, the reason I paid for it. Best pasta, I have probably ever had. Anyways food is good despite the circumstance.
Last, the valet, we give the ticket to the server to get the car. After 10 minutes or so we go to the stand to get it. The valet standing there says I’m on my way to get it. We wait another 20 mins and still no one has come back. At this point we are worried. We finally see the other valet who tells us that the guy has lost our fob and is looking for it. The guy who lost the fob finally comes back and admits this to us. Don’t forget it is still pouring down rain. I go with no umbrella to retrace his footsteps. Needless to say in the half mile between the lot they park the cars and the restaurant we do not find it. Long story short, we have friends on the way to bring us another key, and I happen to find it using the flashlight I have after an hour and a half search. The owner of the valet service was spoken with and was planning to buy a new fob, but just know if you valet here that they park your car in a gravel parking lot that is unattended a half mile from the restaurant. The car is dirty and again a half mile from the restaurant.
To end I will probably order pasta Togo sometime, but will probably never be back. Also, the atmosphere was kind of boring, definitely not a magical night.

Eating to Health
A small family owned Indian restaurant. They were able to accommodate my gluten free vegan plant based lifestyle. I got a potato and spinach dish, curry dal lentils, and rice. I enjoyed it and was full after. It was a bit spicy, so might have to ask for less spicy if you don't like spicy. The lady at the counter was very nice, patient, and helpful to make sure I got something that was safe for me to eat.
My husband and I were extremely happy with our visit again last night. The staff was super friendly and answered questions with knowledge. I'm gluten free and I was told they could modify almost anything there to be gluten free. What?! We had the Wasabi Deviled Eggs for appetizer and they were delicious. I chose the seared tuna which had a sauce that contained gluten so they modified it with something else. Once they did that they suggested a new side to compliment the sauce, which was fine with me. It was wonderful! My husband had the scallops and he said it was the best he ever had and they were huge. For dessert we shared the banana pudding pavlova (?), which they also adjusted to be gluten free. It was amazing as well. It melted in your mouth.
It is great to have someone who actually cares about my allergy just as much as I do!! Thank you to the staff and cooks.

Lafayette Music room was the place we went to to meet mutual friends that we had known for years who were located here in Memphis. I didn't know what to expect about this place because this wasn't one of the places that was on my list of things to do.
This place was actually located maybe a mile from the Airbnb that I was staying at so it was perfect as far as location which is in Midtown. We got there relatively early about 4:00 on a weekday. It was next to empty when we got there however it soon filled up with people.
We ordered drinks we order appetizers and we eventually ordered food.
We all liked our food for the most part and there was plenty of it. I have it listed at the end. What we didn't know we were going to like but did was the live music band.
The band was everything. Since we were a table of 50 something women it was right in point for them to sing 80's music. I have to say I started singing, clapping and enjoying the music from my high school years. The guys singing in the band were our age as well and they could sing. Like really sing.
Fried Calamari
Served with fried banana peppers, roasted red peppers, and sriracha mayo- It took forever for this to come out for some reason. I'm grateful it was a lot of us talking so much that we dang near didn't pay attention but yes it took a long time for an appetizer. The server kept checking on us and apologizing however. The calamari was seasoned so we'll and was so good.

My dining companion and I had a lovely dinner at Paulette's before going to the Orpheum. The service was really top notch and our view from our table looking out at the river at sunset was lovely. For food – the shrimp and pasta dish. (She asked for extra shrimp - no fish) then I had the pork tenderloin. In order to make sure I did not get gluten, I did not have any sauce with my pork tenderloin. I'm sure it would've been top-notch that I've been able to eat it. Well, it was quite good and the tenderloin tasty, it was disappointing, not to be able to have any sauce. It was also disappointing that they had no dessert that a celiac could have., but my dining companion got my old favorite(back when I was eating wheat flour) the strawberry crêpe, and I think she fell in love. All in all, highly recommended. I want to go back for brunch soon.

I had a wonderful dinner here with 7 other adults + a toddler! The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. I cannot eat gluten and our waiter was able to advise me on what I could and could not have, as well as informed the kitchen staff. The redfish was delicious and I highly recommend! The food and drinks arrived promptly.
The Venezuelan stall is my FAVORITE. The carne mechada (shredded beef) arepa is one of the best I've ever eaten (and I used to live in Miami). My husband likes to get the pabellón criollo plate (with the same meat, fried ripe plantains, rice, and black beans) and we share the empanadas. Everything you see here is gluten-free, too! But if you have celiac there is a cross contamination risk.
Expect a delightful dining experience with generous portions and unique sorbet flavors, perfect for enjoying leftovers later.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. I thought this was fine dining but just believe it is upscale dining. We pulled up to no valet and an armed guard outside. The inside decor is nice but just doesn’t make you feel like fine dining. We had drinks, sautéed crab claws, filet, wedge salad, and lamb. The food was pretty good. We really like the filet and the crab claws, everything else was okay. The balsamic reduction came in a cup on the side of the lamb. In was like jelly and would adhere to the lamb, I believe there could be a better way to do this. Our server never introduced himself, never really spoke to us but was just like what can I get you. My wife is gluten free and his explanation of what they had on the menu was pretty disappointing. I just thought it would be better for the price you pay. The meal was over $200.
My wife and I ended up back here with another couple after a manager reached out and apologized for the first time. He recommended the bar area due to it having a better atmosphere. He was right. It was a way better experience. Still not the best but better. I still do not recommend for fine dining.

My family and I ordered Japchae, Dolsot Bibimbap, and Bulgogi. The Bulgogi was far more flavorful than the previous Korean restaurant I’ve gone too. The Japchae was a delight, and the Bibimbap was the perfect choice for my gluten free family member. The food was delicious.
I will say: For the 4 of us, only 4 side dishes were given. Less than what I’m used to at Korean Restaurants. However, it worked out because my family is still shy with Korean flavors/foods.
There were many food options and the service was fast and polite; the bathroom was clean and smelt very nice. The whole restaurant had a pleasant ambience and was clean.
The owner was extremely kind!
As a student learning Korean, I approached them with my timid Korean and they were extremely sweet and accommodating :))

Sober friends rejoice! The Lobbyst is my new go-to for all things N/A and more. My friends and I dined there for my birthday and had the best experience. Moreover, we're a hard group to please, with some of us having various dietary needs and restrictions (Alcohol-free/Vegan/Gluten-Free), and The Lobbyst didn't disappoint. Not only did they have amazing mocktails (get the Passionflora!!!), but they carry Athletic Brewing beer and Fre champagne. As the birthday girl, I was thrilled to finally find a restaurant in Memphis that serves N/A champagne. Because I also adhere to a gluten-free diet I was pleased to find a multitude of suitable options available.
Additionally, some restaurants struggle to provide a vegan carb option, but fortunately, they carry focaccia bread and can make a pasta dish. My husband, who doesn't have any specific dietary requirements, ordered the pork chop and it was heavenly! Lastly, the atmosphere was simply amazing. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff was highly knowledgeable about the menu. They were also passionate about ensuring that I had a great experience. We will surely return soon!
