Great place for seafood and Gluten Free dining. We went for dinner and lunch both. The servers were fun and personable but they can be a little slow. It's worth it though. The food was great and there are numerous GF options.

Early 4:30 PM dinner on 5/2/25. * Note: You can use the public parking lot across the street for $6 an hour vs the valet at the restaurant. I don't want kids driving my vehicle. We have been coming to Virginia Beach off/on for 24 years and dining at Waterman's each trip. 3 years since our last visit. Walk in. No reservation. Seated promptly inside as requested. Our standard order for two orange crushes placed. These crushes had very little actual orange taste and more ice than drink. $9.25 each. We have the drink recipe from Waterman's and make them at home regularly with the original Burnett's orange vodka. These crushes were made with the new Waterman's orange branded vodka. Didn't order any more. My wife's salmon salad and crab cake were very good. My lobster tail and sides were also good. A lot of flies inside the restaurant detracted from the meal. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees, but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies, vibes, how "chill" you feel, or the need for gluten free food. **If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points by marking a star or "paid" reviewers. We entertain our 'out of town' family every summer, and every year, they request Ynot Italian for a big family dinner. It's a place that never disappoints! Everyone finds a delicious choice for dinner, even our gluten free family members..with no fuss! The staff are very friendly and so efficient. It's a fantastic family restaurant!

Session is an experience! If you, or your friends, are looking for vegan or gluten free options- but there are still some in your group that enjoy a traditional bacon and eggs breakfast- look no further. Session is the best of both worlds- coming together- holding hands and doing its own thing! With this being our second time there; we were just as impressed as we were with our first visit. Having a pet friendly patio allows your lil fur babies to come along for some fun. There "in da club" sandwhich is fresh, delicious, and will have you licking your plate clean. The fritata- a beautiful blend of mushroom, dill, and egg with a bed of fresh greens- was fluffy and packed with flavor. The "your dad's go to" was a mix of 2 eggs however you want them, bacon or sausage, hashbrown or root vegetables hash, with a side of greens served with toast, butter, and jam. Once again, Session delivered and surpassed expectations. Service was a 10/10, food was 10/10, and we will most certainly be back in the future for round #3! This sandwich shop was the cutest with all of the fresh ready to meal items and then there's the actual sandwiches! VERY fresh, LOTS of fillings in the sandwich and TONS of flavor. Even better with my gluten allergy they had bread options and were careful to note my other for my safety. Definitely coming back!

My Husband and I go to Rudee's each year after the VA BEACH BOAT SHOW. I now have to Gluten Free and was afraid there wouldn't be much I'd eat there now...I am beyond thankful to see ALL THE GF ITEMS!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR SUCH A BIG GF MENU!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Super happy with the Loaded Fries and Wine Country Salad (subbed in creamy balsamic dressing). They have gluten free options for pizza, and GF markings on their menu. Staff was nice.

Food is good and a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options. Just don’t come here for the service. They are slow (30 minute wait for soup and tacos…and it wasn’t very busy), the girl taking orders doesn’t know how to talk to people and made ordering really awkward, and they made a mistake on my food.

We enjoyed our breakfast. Wonderful north beach omellette. Just the right amount of crab and cheese. Ched Dean took care of my wifes allergies to gluten and soy. Its nerve wracking to eat out with allergies but our waitress Lalla did a great job of reassuring us. We did let them know ahead of our stay we were coming. I think thats very helpful for them.

Summary: Nicole was funny and friendly! Food was delicious (and had gluten free sandwich bread) prices were very decent for our large party. Sit by a window if you need extra light to read menu. We came in as a party of 5 of visitors (Army base nearby). Nicole waited on us and she was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable on all the menu items. She was patient and quickly brought our food out despite the lunch rush (which the food was delicious and had good portion sizes by the way). The shakes were amazing and I was pleasantly surprised by the gluten free bread substitute on my Reuben. The atmosphere was cozy, but we went on a day that didn't have a lot of natural light so I recommend if your party needs more light to see the menu, perhaps sit near a window. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and the high reviews here aren't kidding!

We came on the day the surges hit for Ophelia and this was a hidden gem! Staff was amazing, and allowed our doggie to be with us... we came in for breakfast and then had to have their supper too and everything was great! I appreciated their gluten free and healthy menu! For the price couldn't beat it.

Having Graze Kitchen cater my wedding was one of the best decisions we made. They crafted a gluten-free farm-to-table menu specifically for my husband and I's tastes. Everyone raved about the food at the wedding. Multiple people said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. One friend commented "there are few meals I will remember forever, but that was one of them." Not only was the food insanely delicious but the entire team was professional, friendly, and a joy to work with. Came here after my find my gluten free app suggested that it was a highly safe place to eat. Just 3 people in my party (2 adults 1 child). My waiter didn’t seem like he was particularly interested in talking to the kitchen about my intolerances (dairy, soy, and gluten). He didn’t write anything down and I had to confirm with him twice that he remembered them. The people at the bar were excessively loud and rowdy. After 45 minutes they informed me they were out of shrimp (the appetizer I ordered). After 70 minutes since being seated the food still hadn’t arrived. After 80 minutes of waiting the appetizer for the other 2 at my table came out. After almost 90 minutes since being sat my salad came out. They got my daughters wrong. The chicken on my salad was ice cold. I guarantee my waiter didn’t tell the staff about my allergies. Overall a really awful experience after being hopeful that I’d get a good, safe meal.

My favorite new breakfast stop, as a transplanted New Yorker it’s amazing to get Ess A Bagels in my backyard! The store is clean and beautiful and manned by a friendly and welcoming staff. My wife loves the gluten free bagels too! She has tried every brand and these actually taste like a normal bagel. Blueberry cream cheese is my new fav of the week. Eggs over Avocado sandwich is my goto besides the Bacon Egg and Cheese Nana.

Ordered the gluten free pasta with shrimp and scallops, was given the wrong pasta unknowingly. Began eating the seafood first when a male waiter who is not our server caught the mistake and told our waitress Sabrina that she gave me the wrong pasta. I had already been picking at the food and ate off it and then she came over with my new plate. I figured since I was already eating off this plate they were going to throw it away so I asked her if she could at least let me have some of the seafood I had already started on with my new plate and she could just take the pasta away. I thought it was reasonable request especially considering the significant error and I assumed they were just going to throw it away anyway. But she said she had to bring it back to the kitchen so they can make a new one. It is then I realized they were probably going to give that food to somebody else! After I already ate on the plate, there is no doubt in my mind. The portion has also become much smaller than I rememer. The bathrooms were disgusting, the dining area was very nice I would say five stars but then you walk into the bathroom and it's like a two-star place.

I ordered a dish with pork after a last minute change as I realized my original order contained gluten-the waitperson was great. Unfortunately the pork was so tough I could only eat about half of the order and then via rigorous chewing. At no time over about 25-30 minutes did either of the two waitstaff ask if everything was alright. Add the fact that the ac was broken and it was 92 outside and I’m not coming back soon

We had the marinated portobello's, and the roasted garlic and goat cheese appetizer. My friend I was with has celiac disease so they made us a cauliflower pizza crust with drizzled garlic and olive oil and it was divine.

We tried three different types of shrimp rolls (bang bang, buffalo, and fried) as well as the Lobster roll and lobster cheese sauce. Everything was OUTSTANDING. Our son is allergic to gluten and fish so he was only able to eat the "Red Hot dog". We ordered it plain, no bun. I was floored when they gave me a discount of $0.50 because we didn't take the bun. We always have to make substitutions for his food and often pay extra, never get a discount. The food was so good we orderd more even though we were full! You will NOT be disappointed. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience - 3 near perfect meals. Gluten-free and there were several options to choose from as well as having gluten-free bread. They were a vegetarian options and some really delicious dessert breakfast options like cinnamon pecan waffles with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Their happy hour was fabulous with five dollar crushes.

I was here for a late dinner, and I was impressed with their food. We had two appetizers, and I had the patty melt. It was delicious! They also have gluten free bread to go with their burgers as an alternative. All four of us were happy with our meals. The server was on point...very accommodating. Absolutely amazing service, Tuesday at 11:30am the place was full but no wait. Gluten free menu. Very customizable menu. Great drink specials (almost half off select drinks of the day). It’s in a strip mall but don’t judge by the cover. Got the crabcakes benni, lighthouse omelette, parm garlic tots, grits and fried biscuit. The crabcakes are phenomenal, tots have changed the game, fried biscuit is a heavenly donut and the grits are a cheesy delight. I will be back.

For the good: Server and manager were nice, friendly, and helpful; music was good until the live band left. For the bad: Took about 30ish minutes to order drinks; ribs and brisket were both sold out, so I ordered the tender steak with some pink, but got majority pink; strawberry milkshake didn't taste the greatest; when the steak was redone, they threw away the asparagus as well, and ran out (I have a gluten allergy, and their sides are limited in that aspect); steak tasted disappointing. Very bad experience, but at least the workers were positive and friendly...

I have always loved Aldo’s but tonight’s experience was lack luster at best. Our server, Ashton, was forgetful and inattentive. He didn’t really seem that well educated on the menu. I asked about the gluten free options, his response was we have gluten free pasta but he didn’t know if anything else on the menu was gluten free. The restaurant was very busy, and could have possibly been understaffed which might account for the poor service. We were there for a very long time before he finally took our orders. He forgot to ring in my drink twice. We had to repeatedly ask for more water. The food runners gave the appetizers to the wrong people. My lamb chops had zero flavor. The shrimp Gorgonzola were very tasty. My crème brûlée was awful. Not once during the entire meal did he ask any of us how anything was. Honestly we were all starving so most of us just ate the food despite it not being great. One person did return theirs because it tasted off. At the end he plopped the check down and walked off. There were nine of us. He didn’t even think to ask if it was separate checks. When we asked him to separate the check he went into what a hassle it would be because they don’t have seat numbers and he threw out the paper he wrote the order down on so he didn’t know who had what. Incredibly unprofessional. At no point during the evening did a manager check on us to see how our experience was. Not the dining experience I am used to. The icing on the cake was when I got home and opened my Togo Napoleon and it was a piece of cake. Our bill was over $900 but the food and service were not worth anywhere near that amount. I won’t be going back anytime soon. Such a shame, it used to be a great place to eat.
