Grabbed lunch with our family and a friend. Our server was super accommodating for my wife’s gluten allergy and our active toddler. We’ve had date nights and lunch at Neighborhood Sushi and the food/service are 5 stars every time.

This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.

I can't believe I didn't try Uchiko sooner. Anna was a fantastic server and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I wanted to keep the bill around $200, so I was worried we wouldn't get enough food. I had to unbutton my pants on the way home. We're pretty indecisive, so we took Anna up on her offer to curate a menu for us based on our budget and likes/dislikes. Every single bite of the 9-course dinner was perfect. We got all our favorites (most of which we didn't mention - it felt like she was reading our minds), plus plenty of unique things that I never would've thought to order but turned out to be incredible. She checked in regularly to see what we liked so she could pick the next courses. Our feedback probably wasn't very helpful because we loved everything. I mentioned my gluten intolerance in the reservation. Anna addressed it as soon as we were seated and went over the gluten-free options. The vast majority of the menu items were either gluten-free or could be modified. It really stood out to me that the food runners all specified that each dish they served was gluten-free. I didn't have to spend the meal worrying about miscommunications. Our experience was on par with the Michelin-star restaurants I used to go to when I lived in NYC, but for a fraction of the price. Obviously the food was perfect. But what really set this experience apart was the service. I can't say enough good things about Anna, the bartenders, and the rest of the FOH staff. Everyone went above and beyond to take care of us and make us feel welcomed.

This might be the best Asian food we’ve ever had! Their sushi was freshly made and delicious. We will definitely be back. For anyone gluten free, I am celiac and I had no symptoms after and had many delicious items. They have tons of gluten free options.

Meat lovers you would enjoy this ALOT. Top of the line Steakhouses don’t even compare. According to the person who ate the sandwich. Their only down fall was the skinny potato fries they prefer steak fries. The Veggie Burger Was Great we was excited they have gluten free bun available. The Sweet Potato Waffle Fries was a treat as well. The Martini was just okay according to the person who had it. I was grateful they was able to give me hot water with a tea cup so I can enjoy my natural herb tea. Our wish is that these restaurants will do in-depth research to provide high quality non toxic food to us natural organic beings. Canola oil is gasoline and most places use this oil to fry their foods. Consider coconut oil, avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil. Corn is a hybrid that has gone wrong and does not digest in the body. Wheat/Gluten has been weaponized and should not be served in any restaurant. The way the food industry has been set up is the largest reason why there is illness on the planet. Take a stand and only serve natural organic non weaponized toxic foods.

This was a first time here. The waiter was able to identify the gluten free rolls for me and suggested the samurai roll which apparently isn't on the menu. We were offered more water, wasabi and ginger without having to ask which is such a delight. Every few bites my husband and I would comment to each other how good it was. So happy to have found this place.

Our experience at Uchi was flawless from start to finish. The food was spectacular and the service was incredible - highly recommend asking your server for advice when ordering, because we loved his picks and had fun branching out (also super helpful for ordering the right amount!). Both flounder nigiri options + the pomegranate oysters were real standouts to us, but we enjoyed everything we tried. The atmosphere was upscale but unfussy. Abundant gluten free options and knowledgeable staff on that front. High chairs are available & the baby in our group was able to eat off the menu, too. Pricing is great given the quality of experience. We went to celebrate a birthday and they made the experience really wonderful for us.

If you’re looking for a Thai spot with a spicy twist, this place is worth a visit! The food was good overall, though the green curry, labeled as spicy, wasn’t quite as fiery as we expected—something to keep in mind if you love bold heat. The atmosphere is super calming, and the customer service was excellent, making the experience pleasant. The spicy edamame—absolutely delicious! Authentic sushi, try the chef choice sushi, you will love it! Also, if you have gluten allergy let the waiter know, they offer gluten free food choices on the menu and they can also change the ingredients to make the dishes gluten free. They also offer gluten free soy sauce, which is awesome.

Wrapping up a short weekend to see a favorite band in Grand Prairie, I stopped in at Blue Sushi on my way to flying out from Love as flight had been delayed. Constructed my own set paired with a perfectly brewed hot green tea. Gluten free soy sauce was no issue. Exceptionally fresh uni and rolls. Though it was a Sunday afternoon, place soon filled up within an hour. Don’t have to tell you where to go.

My party and I had a wonderful experience, especially thanks to our server Brian. My boyfriend has a gluten allergy and trying to find a place with gluten-free options or people who are knowledgeable of a gluten-free diet is always a challenge. I told Brian ahead of time that our table had a gluten allergy and he told us to go ahead, select our options and he would see what he could do. We ordered an assortment of nigiri, three rolls, the ceviche, grilled shishito peppers, house made seaweed salad - all of which Brian made sure could be modified into a gluten-free version and were still so delicious! We were so pleasantly surprised to hear his expertise on the ingredients in each dish. I could tell how attentive he was being throughout the night as he brought us our dessert bowls before we had the chance to order, it felt like he was reading our minds. The kakigori and green tea soufflé cake were also gluten-free and were a lovely touch to end the night on. We’re still raving about the amazing experience today and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. Thank you so much! :)

Delicious food with beautiful presentation! Not pictured is the spicy edamame - best I’ve had, as if it was marinated instead of just coated with the garlic chili 🤤 plenty of gluten free options and accommodations, chill vibes, friendly service. It’s my new fav sushi & Korean spot! Also, sexy roll and bulgogi were both killer.

My husband and I had dinner here since we passed by after a movie and saw it was open for thanksgiving. Had a lovely time, food was great! Our server Jewel was the absolute sweetest. She recommended a sushi roll that is now my husband’s favorite, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything I ordered was gluten friendly. She was attentive, kind and so very helpful. We are glad to have had thanksgiving dinner here, and especially to have had Jewel as our server!
