The food was tasty, the staff were attentive, the atmosphere was cute. But there is NOT very much gluten free options. In general, this place is not allergen friendly. If you have no allergies though, it's great!!! Also, the mid-day menu is pretty limited

Grabbed lunch with our family and a friend. Our server was super accommodating for my wife’s gluten allergy and our active toddler. We’ve had date nights and lunch at Neighborhood Sushi and the food/service are 5 stars every time.

This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.

I can't believe I didn't try Uchiko sooner. Anna was a fantastic server and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I wanted to keep the bill around $200, so I was worried we wouldn't get enough food. I had to unbutton my pants on the way home. We're pretty indecisive, so we took Anna up on her offer to curate a menu for us based on our budget and likes/dislikes. Every single bite of the 9-course dinner was perfect. We got all our favorites (most of which we didn't mention - it felt like she was reading our minds), plus plenty of unique things that I never would've thought to order but turned out to be incredible. She checked in regularly to see what we liked so she could pick the next courses. Our feedback probably wasn't very helpful because we loved everything. I mentioned my gluten intolerance in the reservation. Anna addressed it as soon as we were seated and went over the gluten-free options. The vast majority of the menu items were either gluten-free or could be modified. It really stood out to me that the food runners all specified that each dish they served was gluten-free. I didn't have to spend the meal worrying about miscommunications. Our experience was on par with the Michelin-star restaurants I used to go to when I lived in NYC, but for a fraction of the price. Obviously the food was perfect. But what really set this experience apart was the service. I can't say enough good things about Anna, the bartenders, and the rest of the FOH staff. Everyone went above and beyond to take care of us and make us feel welcomed.

This might be the best Asian food we’ve ever had! Their sushi was freshly made and delicious. We will definitely be back. For anyone gluten free, I am celiac and I had no symptoms after and had many delicious items. They have tons of gluten free options.

Meat lovers you would enjoy this ALOT. Top of the line Steakhouses don’t even compare. According to the person who ate the sandwich. Their only down fall was the skinny potato fries they prefer steak fries. The Veggie Burger Was Great we was excited they have gluten free bun available. The Sweet Potato Waffle Fries was a treat as well. The Martini was just okay according to the person who had it. I was grateful they was able to give me hot water with a tea cup so I can enjoy my natural herb tea. Our wish is that these restaurants will do in-depth research to provide high quality non toxic food to us natural organic beings. Canola oil is gasoline and most places use this oil to fry their foods. Consider coconut oil, avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil. Corn is a hybrid that has gone wrong and does not digest in the body. Wheat/Gluten has been weaponized and should not be served in any restaurant. The way the food industry has been set up is the largest reason why there is illness on the planet. Take a stand and only serve natural organic non weaponized toxic foods.

This was a first time here. The waiter was able to identify the gluten free rolls for me and suggested the samurai roll which apparently isn't on the menu. We were offered more water, wasabi and ginger without having to ask which is such a delight. Every few bites my husband and I would comment to each other how good it was. So happy to have found this place.

Love going for happy hour or dinner! Some of the best sushi/japanese food I’ve ever had. The staff is super knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac. Make sure to get the gluten free dessert at the end of meal and great for all allergies.

The food was good overall, though the green curry, labeled as spicy, wasn’t quite as fiery as we expected—something to keep in mind if you love bold heat. My party and I had a wonderful experience, especially thanks to our server Brian. My boyfriend has a gluten allergy and trying to find a place with gluten-free options or people who are knowledgeable of a gluten-free diet is always a challenge. I told Brian ahead of time that our table had a gluten allergy and he told us to go ahead, select our options and he would see what he could do. We ordered an assortment of nigiri, three rolls, the ceviche, grilled shishito peppers, house made seaweed salad - all of which Brian made sure could be modified into a gluten-free version and were still so delicious! We were so pleasantly surprised to hear his expertise on the ingredients in each dish. I could tell how attentive he was being throughout the night as he brought us our dessert bowls before we had the chance to order, it felt like he was reading our minds. The kakigori and green tea soufflé cake were also gluten-free and were a lovely touch to end the night on. We’re still raving about the amazing experience today and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. Thank you so much! :)

Amazing!!!!! The food and service was Excellent! The all you can eat menu is wonderful and well priced! We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and she was absolutely satisfied with the Gluten Free all you can eat menu as well! And our Server "Me-Ly" was Fantastic!!! I am always fascinated when the server does not have to write down what you want and is super attentive to everyone at the table. Me-Ly was very pleasant and vibrant and accommodating! The atmosphere was comfortable too! We will be back!

Lots and lots of gluten free options--I was impressed! All but one marinade is gluten free and all the dipping sauces are gluten free. Shishito pepper appetizer was very good, then I got a few meats. I preferred the Kalbi chuck to the Kalbi short rib. Our server, Jacoby, took great care of our group.

The food and service was amazing! I love the yellowtail roll and the guns and roses roll. I ordered the gluten free guns and roses but it still had rice in it. The roll was delicious regardless! The drinks were ok. Additionally, the service was very attentive. I will definitely be back soon!

This is an incredibly nice experience from start to finish. I did feel like I could have gotten more quantity in most other places but the quality was top notch putting it in the same category of authentic sushi I had in Japan. They accommodated my food allergies of egg, gluten, and dairy without any issues but I couldn't order the Omakase because the food is pre marinated in early that had gluten. Overall this was a nice change of pace that I can easily recommend, but it comes with a price.

Un fu:king real! Me and my 9 year old have been watching so much Naruto and going to tons of Ramen places. Even went to ramen tatsuuuyaaa (not impressed) !!! So we went late last night after swimming and the owner took our order and explained it truly well: Now he’s hooked on this one and this one only! The reason we loved it so much was because the flavor! Omf and the noodles weren’t all mush! I got gluten free and he got pork belly spicy! He’s floored! I’m floored! Not goin anywhere else ! Ever ! Went here for someone's birthday and they were so accommodating. Also, they brought the birthday girl a free dessert and took pictures and printed them out for her. The food was good. They have a gluten sensitive menu.

My husband and I had dinner here since we passed by after a movie and saw it was open for thanksgiving. Had a lovely time, food was great! Our server Jewel was the absolute sweetest. She recommended a sushi roll that is now my husband’s favorite, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything I ordered was gluten friendly. She was attentive, kind and so very helpful. We are glad to have had thanksgiving dinner here, and especially to have had Jewel as our server!

We've visited twice now, and the food both times was delicious. The staff is knowledgeable about gluten-free and can help a customer navigate which dishes can be made for the gluten-free diet. The only complaint is that it gets a bit cold in the establishment. I'll just bring a sweater or jacket and that fixes it 😉.

My buddy and I sat at the bar and had great service. The bartender was extremely helpful to my buddy who has recently discovered he needs to avoid gluten. She was very versed in the condition and gave him great advise on what to look for while eating out. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was great.

Our server took the time to ask the chef if different food items were gluten-free. I ate the salmon roll and Mango tuna yuze poke small plate. The Yuze poke was delicious. I especially loved the crunch of the shrimp chips which is a real treat as gluten-free. I can't wait for our next conference trip to eat here again!

I recently had to go gluten free and I'm still in the learning process of what I can have and what I can't. Jay was so kind to me and spent time going over what I could eat there and made a special roll for me. I feel like he really went out of his way to help find something I would like. I have not had that experience at other restaurants. I loved this place before but after tonight's experience, I love it even more. The food is amazing and so is the wait staff.
