Genuinely pleasantly surprised. Despite the crowds, very smooth and well served by a clearly professional team. I eat gluten-free and vegetarian and that combination often limits my menu options to one dish. But here it turned out to be an adapted menu with 3 gluten-free-vegetarian main courses alone. This was quite a cozy, nicely decorated restaurant with a big variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was amazing and the food was quite good too. I would recommend the caramel pancakes as well as the scrambled tofu bread as they were quite rich in flavor and the flavor combination came together nicely with each bite. A big plus for me as well is that they’re dog friendly!

Not nice experience. We ordered one gluten free bagel at the counter for one intollerant friend and they brought one regular bagel with the right coffee so our friend eat it. 15 minutes later another waitress came with “the gluten free bagel” and we realized the first supposedly gluten free bagel was with gluten. It wouldnt have been so big an issue if the staff would have apologised but instead the head waitress, at her boss order, asked us to pay for the gluten free bagel if we wanted to keep it (which of course we had already paid). We Don’t recommend this place.

Back at Carée after three years – and what a party! From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome. The owner is the soul of this business: she cooks with passion and knows how to perfectly convey the flavors of authentic Italy. Each dish is prepared with fresh, pure ingredients – you can taste the love in every bite. We enjoyed a generous three-course menu that was more than worth the price. Everything was prepared with care and beautifully presented. Also nice: dietary requirements, including gluten-free, are really taken into account. In short: Carée is truly a culinary Sicilian pearl in Valkenburg. We will definitely be back - and this time not for another three years!

The staff was very helpful with choosing a glutenfree and dairy free dish, and consulted kitchen staff to make sure it really is or to make adjustments. They even had glutenfree bread and glutenfree beer. Lovely experience, very nice staff.

Sad intention for a coffee shop. It is showcased as a tasty and organic cafe with a homely atmosphere, but what you get here has nothing to do with that. Tasteless chai where if you ask if it has spices in it, they add more syrup. Bone-dry carrot cake and a cheesecake that contains no cheese, but is actually a cheesecake. Please don't come here, it's not worth your money. Edit/addition after response from owner: Before I went to pay, I was approached by a lady to ask if everything was satisfactory. When I was honest with her about the cake being quite dry, I was told that this was because it was gluten and lactose free. Besides the fact that this was not mentioned anywhere, this gave me the feeling that my feedback did not actually matter. After this I was asked if there were any other things that were not to my liking, and I felt very reluctant to say anything about my experience. At the cash register I was told it was a cheesecake. Then I don't expect watery vegan cottage cheese that ruins the only bright spot of the cake, resulting in the soggy cake at the bottom. This quite unprofessional response is also completely in line with the experience we had in the store; that we had to wait half an hour for unmotivated service who brought the disappointing drinks and cake in question. In short, an unpleasant and disappointing experience in which (even after your experience) you as a dissatisfied customer are not listened to, but you are told that things should be that way and that it is actually your own fault for coming here.

We just commemorated our 4th anniversary in there. Mr. Aruna was extremely kind and attentive. We ate the 4 course surprise menu - which indeed surprised us! The food was amazing, extremely flavorful and tasty. Mr. Aruna was also able to adapt the dishes according to my wife's allergies (She's celiac and allergic to shellfish and molluscs). Thanks for the amazing evening, Mr. Aruna! We will surely be returning :)

You order a gluten-free sandwich with salmon. The sandwich was inedible, so terribly tough. I returned it, but I still had to pay for the sandwich. Has to do with my taste. I've been eating gluten-free for years, but this beat everything. The waiter had no rights to arrange anything. So unfortunately, just send an email and he was gone. You're a tourist, so get out. Really terribly bad.

They have gluten free bagels and staff are very knowledgeable although it might depend who is on duty. I asked for the allergen menu which is quite detailed, breaking down all the ingredients with their allergens. Went with the safest option which was a plain bagel with cheese cream. When asked for the omelette bagel they advised against it due to contamination (not exactly sure why but I took their advise) If I had to suggest something, it's for the waiters to bring food on a separate dish to avoid cross contamination

A pleasant lunch spot during our trip to Venlo. Hip, trendy interior, friendly helpful staff. A different concept than the usual. Also for my wife who has a gluten and lactose intolerance. Gluten and lactose free Bagels are available, which is certainly a plus. We had also looked this up in advance and found few places in Venlo where these products were available without making a reservation. In short, highly recommended for us.

Staff was very nice. Gluten free (due to celiac disease) was adhered to and they knew their stuff! But what is very negative: for two normal burgers (the first on the list at 18.95 each) that were so incredibly dry that the bun fell apart and felt like it had been warmed up again from the day before, two cokes and a small fries with mayo (fries totally greasy) €74.50 is just absolutely cheeky! Not again!

We’re from Spain and we came on vacation and saw this restaurant which offers gluten free options. We ordered the cheese hamburguers and the crispy chiken one and they were amazing! If you visit Maastricht you have to come here🫶🏻

Nice meal. Not VERY special, but tasty. I thought the service was very nice. I have a gluten allergy and the staff knew enough about that to help me. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars. I didn't find the chairs very comfortable and there was little room for my legs over the table. Price-quality ratio is really great!

A beautifully decorated and attractive branch of the Beren in a great location on the N281 near the Roda JC Stadium with ample free parking in front of the door. The food is good and the service is friendly. The portions are also sufficient, although more vegetables could be included as standard instead of at an additional cost. And for example, something like baked potatoes or potatoes with butter instead of just fries as a side dish. For the rest, certainly top notch and also in terms of allergens, everything is clearly stated on the allergen card. I have a gluten intolerance myself and I had a good meal here.

All you can eat concept with a nice atmosphere and attentive staff with a warm attitude. Also, a la carte options available. There are gluten-free options on the menu and the staff is knowledgeable. The location is good. Prices are very low when you think of the quality and the amount you can eat. Weekend prices differ for the all-you-can-eat.

It was completely full and very cozy, but also very noisy. The sound isn't really absorbed by curtains or anything. Things got a lot better when a few tables were empty. The service was very good and friendly and we were especially happy that our granddaughter, who has to eat gluten-free, could actually make the same choices as we did.

Delicious food! I have to eat gluten and lactose free and that went perfectly fine here. I was able to eat most of the menu and some dishes were slightly adjusted. It is recommended that you book in advance and indicate which allergy you have. You can always call them to make sure. Very nice restaurant, very cozy!

Making a reservation was a snap, thanks to the easy-to-fill reservation form. We then received a confirmation email, which was very easy. Despite many full tables, someone was immediately available to guide us to the 'quiet' table requested in the reservation. We felt it was quite busy, but in no way were we left to our own devices. That was thanks to the waiting staff, better said, hostess, host. In our opinion, the music was too prominent (but not very disturbing), and for us (4 people 55+) from an era that is more in line with the (young) staff. The menu offers dishes for vegetarians or guests with a gluten intolerance. The Steak Tartare and the Pork Belly & Gamba were particularly popular. The Vegetarian Pasta was also highly appreciated. According to one of the table companions, the Iberico burger was a bit on the dry side and cooled down quite quickly. The Limoncello Scroppino was received moderately positively. It could have been colder and airier. The table companions each have their own wine tastes and, partly based on the instructions of the waiting staff, each found his/her 'right' wine. It was a pleasant evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Special appreciation goes to ALL staff members who provided us with a wonderful evening.

Delicious cuts to enjoy. Even with a gluten allergy, where trace amounts are also unacceptable, you can eat a delicious coupe here with confidence. Definitely recommended. For gluten-free, ice cream is scooped from a new container to prevent cross-contamination. Absolutely great

We have eaten at Arrosto regularly and the quality of the food is simply good and delicious. We highly recommend it, partly because of the gluten-free options (pizzas are not trace-free) that they offer. I personally really like the pizza taco! They also have good coffee, cappuccino etc. from Blanche Dael The ice cream (e.g. Dame blanche) is nothing special. Personally, I think it is very expensive for 2 scoops of (factory ice cream), whipped cream and some cold chocolate sauce. But you go for the starter and main course and they are tasty. Reservations are recommended!

Very tasty every time. Start (with antipasto) at the wine bar. A few doors further the main course. Beautiful (Tuscan) dishes, full of love and passion. Beautiful, fresh ingredients. The price has gone up, but definitely worth it. I know few better Italians in the Netherlands. Delicious food costs money. Gluten-free is also sublimely possible.

The owner takes all food allergies seriously and she does her best for people on a diet. This was the first restaurant where I was very thoughtfully given a gluten-free cookie with tea after dinner. The fries are fried separately here and are served in a large cone. We drank a glass of delicious Limburg white wine with our fish. Be sure to eat at this restaurant if you are in the area, or just make a special visit!

Enjoyed a delicious (gluten-free) breakfast on the attractive terrace. The service is also smooth and very friendly. It has a fun and varied playlist of music, which really improves the atmosphere. Also not very important as far as we are concerned. Next time we will go for the slightly more extensive 'Ver'koch' breakfast.

We were there on May 3rd, 2025. If you have celiac disease (gluten intolerance), I ask you not to go there. We specifically asked whether there were any gluten-free residents there and were told with 100% certainty that everything would be separated. When we got the tray, the normal citizens were placed next to each other with the gluten-free citizens. After a few hours the reaction.!!! THE CITIZENS THERE ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE. I think it's an outrage and a reason for the health department.

Enjoy camping this week at the Gastmolen campsite (May holiday 2022). Got pizza today at Bellissima in Vaals. Our daughter has celiac disease (gluten allergy) so we went looking for a gluten-free pizza for her... and found it! What a treat she had again. The pizza baker certainly knew what he was talking about and prepared all pizzas with fresh ingredients. The base comes from Schar and is baked on an aluminum base plate, so that no cross-contamination occurs. In fact, (almost) all types could be ordered gluten-free... what do you do with that? The non-gluten-free pizza was also fantastic, so highly recommended for the whole family (or company).

There was actually only certain fish for me, the rest was gone even though it was asked in advance and there would be soup and everything. The fruit tasted like nothing but the salmon was very tasty. According to fellow diners the sushi belonged straight in the bin and was not worth the name sushi.

We had dinner at Restaurant Cuba Libre last Saturday. Our daughter has a gluten allergy and the owner was very helpful in this. Very helpful and thoughtful. The food was superbly arranged. A young owner with a lot of passion for the food, but also for the people in the restaurant. That is why Restaurant Cuba Libre is 100% recommended.

At Tasty Thai, gluten-free dishes are clearly indicated on the menu. The service also knew exactly what was and was not possible. For example, they immediately warned about the fish being breaded. The curries were really spicy and that's why we wanted an ice cream, but Tasty Thai doesn't serve desserts.

What we were experiencing now. First we played mini golf together at Pannenkoekenrestaurant De Bosrand in Arcen. And then my son and I, who has a gluten allergy, went to eat pancakes at restaurant De Bosrand in Arcen Limburg. There we wanted to order two gluten-free pancakes with apple, bacon and raisins. No, that wasn't possible. We could only order 2 ingredients! How so? Then we will pay extra for the 3rd ingredient. No, those are the rules! Called in chef. Argument: Everyone abuses gluten-free pancakes! The kitchen capacity cannot handle more than 2 ingredients on a gluten-free pancake and this means that other people have to wait longer for their regular pancake. That's why we made this appointment with the kitchen. And we will not deviate from this POINT! And this rule also applies to fellow restaurants! This is not that strange, madam. Uhhh, I can't follow this logic... Discrimination? What's the problem? People with a "normal" pancake can put more than 2 ingredients on their pancake... And not us with allergies? And also react very arrogantly instead of customer friendly. Fine, we'll look for another pancake restaurant. Never go to the Bosrand in Arcen again! Tip of the Day: Drive a few kilometers to Pannenkoekenhuis - restaurant Jagerrust in Velden. Delicious food with multiple ingredients on our Pancake. Very friendly staff in a nice environment. Highly recommended!

Our favorite restaurant. We come here regularly. Why? The menu to share is our favorite! Something new every time, everything freshly made and always surprising flavors and dishes. I recently had dinner here with someone who had to eat gluten-free. That menu was also very good. She had never eaten such a varied meal in a restaurant. Very nice concept and especially great if you have to eat gluten-free. There is a special section on the ordering tablet with gluten-free dishes, so that they are immediately entered into the kitchen as gluten-free. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Been coming here for years and am a regular and satisfied customer. There is something for everyone on the menu, I have tasted all the dishes and I like everything. Savings system is what they have is great! Also plenty of gluten-free options. The only pity is that payment can only be made by PIN and I personally think that is a shame and absolutely not possible.
