Everything at brunch can be gluten free! Few places in town have GF pancakes or waffles, and they not only have them but they are good. The brunch menu rotates but everything we've had there for brunch and dinner has been awesome. Highly recommend if you have celiac or just want to avoid gluten and be a little gluttonous.

It's a Mecca for vegetarians. Quality and atmosphere is quite good, though the prices have significantly risen and portions decreased lately. It's a must try if you are vegetarian, also one of the few places in Ithaca where you are guaranteed to get gluten free dishes if you are allergic. Also most of their famous cookbooks are available for sale at the entrance. For most people it's a good but somewhat overpriced choice.

As someone who is very sensitive to gluten and dairy, I appreciate that this food truck is 100% gluten free and easily able to accommodate dairy free dietary needs. What's better, though, is how amazingly good the food tastes. The staff are always friendly, and on good weather days, it's wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the peaceful food court next to the inlet.

My husband, mom, and I came to brunch this past Saturday. I'm gluten free, told my waitress I was and asked for some exchanges like gluten free toast. This was the only thing I ate on Saturday because later in the day, I had a massive gluten allergy reaction. I'm not sure if the waitress didn't tell the chef or the chef didn't read the ticket correctly, but there was gluten. I just want you to know because it's important that customers with allergies feel safe to eat here, especially when your menu states gluten free alternatives. It's a lovely, delicious restaurant that I'd like to come back to. Please on behalf of us non-gluten tolerating folks, watch out for our modifications. I just wanted to bring this to your attention. Daughter has Celiac disease. Specifically asked cashier about gluten free cones. Was told all you had was the regular type gf cone. She was very excited and literally only ordered a child's portion just to get the cone. The ice cream (which she really didn't want) was then served in a cup with a statement of "we don't have anymore cones." I told attendant we'd just take refund for hers. Was informed they don't do refunds on card purchases and they'd have to wait until they could contact "corporate". We are from out of state! Traveling! Obviously, we won't be waiting around! 59 years old and I've NEVER heard of such a thing. Specifically ask for a certain product (for serious health reasons). Told it was available. Paid for it. Told it wasn't available and denied a refund. That's some pretty cheesy service. FYI. The actual ice cream was phenomenal.

Went there for gluten free options. I will not go back because of the price (10 dollar for a taco) but the tastes are very good. Their music is good too but can be hard to hear over other loud customers. They charge you an extra 18% automatically but the server will tell you to tip because that 18% extra charge is not for the tip.

Love their Sangria. Nice to get your drink at the bar while you are waiting for your table. They are able to serve Gluten Free entries. Too bad, the tortilla chips aren't fried in a dedicated GF fryer. Had to skip the chips and salsa.

Military & Healthcare Discount! Great food and lots of options for adults and kids. We went on Father's Day and was there 10 minutes before they opened, but the owner still let us come in and get started. Kids age 11 & 14 both easily found something. Great fruit cobbler for dessert. All food had a good presentation and taste. Gluten-free buns available as up charge. The mushroom sandwich was good. Did not know what to expect of it, but good. Chicken nuggets are like chicken bites, but very soft. Lots of options besides fries, including tots and sweet potato fries. Like much of this area, parking is in a paid garage. Walk about a block.

My scallop dinner had only 3 scallops served on rice and bean sprouts for $36. The flavor was very good, but in what world does a restaurant think it’s appropriate to serve a pricey scallop dinner with barely any scallops? The rice was not very good (taste like dish water to me) and the flavors were not Michelin star quality, but the price sure was! It was disappointing that they gave such a small portion of actual scallops. Also not thrilled they charged $2 extra for a gluten free bun on an already overpriced meal. The view and ambience was nice but I wouldn’t go back here after being served an insulting shrinkflation scallop dish.

Good food! They offer vegan options as well. They mention gluten free options, but it is mostly turning the sub into a loaded salad. Most of the tables are set up outside, but there are a few spots inside to eat. Eating outside allows you to enjoy Ithaca’s unique downtown area. If you enjoy subs, soup, and salad then this is a good place to try out.

Lovely, quiet cafe perfect for meeting friends, family, or just hanging out doing work. The menu is small but has a good variety of drinks and treats, options for gluten and dairy free as well. Everything seems sourced very well and handmade. I hope they eventually will have more lunch available soon, as they seem to only do it for a short period of time with only a few specials every day. Love the savory and sweet hand pies! Blueberry with lemon glaze is my favorite.

I love CTB and always go whenever I'm in town. Please be careful packing your food, though -- we ordered a vegetarian bagel on sesame and another on a gluten free bagel and they were packed so that each box had half of each bagel.

Collegetown Bagel got us hooked! We visited three times in just 24 hours! It's a breakfast (and lunch) champion, offering tons of choices beyond just their delicious bagels. From refreshing smoothies and thick milkshakes (and a surprising selection of beers), there's something for everyone. We also loved the salads and the variety of prepared meals and snacks you can grab and go for a picnic lunch. Plus, shoutout to Collegetown Bagel for offering gluten-free bread and bagels! The only thing missing was a bit more friendly service. The staff were efficient, but a touch of warmth would have made our visits even better. Overall, Collegetown Bagel is a fantastic choice for a delicious and convenient breakfast or lunch. The extensive menu, grab-and-go options, and gluten-free selections are a huge perk. With a little extra friendliness from the staff, Collegetown Bagel would be an absolute delight!

Great experience and food was delicious. Very accommodating to my gluten allergy. If you want the gluten free bread, you must call ahead. They do use the same equipment to cook the gluten free injera with the normal one, but they clean it in between. I opted out of the injera to be safe, but the food is delicious. The avocado salad was spicy and a great starter. The meats were flavorful and juicy. The lentils were spiced to perfection. The food doesn’t really match the dated/sparse interior, but it’s delicious and makes up for the space.

Love the concept and love the food! Everyone was amazing and the food even moreso, the blueberry coconut lemonade was the best! Also the portions are huge! My sister had the chicken and waffles and it was fantastic. The menus are labeled so you can see what's vegan and gluten-free and what's locally sourced. Definitely appreciate being able to support the local farmers. Also, all ordering was done via an iPad at the table to limit contact. Every table was sanitized and they observed the social distancing rules. I highly recommend it and next time I'm in Ithaca I'm stopping by.

WOW! I mean. These are so good. If you haven't tried these yet, absolutely do yourself and your loved ones a huge favor and scoot on down to Press Bay Alley to get some! At this point, I've tried quite a few. They are ALL incredibly tasty. I'm a fan of more savory flavors and the potato Cheddar one, the poblano one and the mushrooms one are simply amazing. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about the rich delicious cheesy goodness...the flaky crust..and there's veggies in them so ya know, they're healthy! They have vegan options and gluten free ones too!! All yummy!! For sweet pies, I've had one with apples and a cherry one. Eeee! They are fantastic of course. Everyone I have shared Mama Said with has instantly been converted into a fan. They're the perfect food. Enjoy!

First time here- meal was lovely. All the courses were excellent, service was great, wine list is simultaneously serious *and* affordable. Bravo. Bonus points for being so accommodating to my gluten-free situation. Not always an easy thing with French cuisine, but was no trouble at all here. Much appreciated, and we'll surely be back.

Top quality Japanese food. Service and food preparation is super fast! Restaurant interior is very homely and simplistic with beautiful wall decor. Food was extremely flavorful and succulent. Plenty of options for vegetarian/gluten-free folks. Only issue is that it seems understaffed; our waitress was running around and seemingly overworked, with her kids helping out a bit. She forgot one of our entrees, but we did have a large group with a complex order, so it was understandable. With more waiters, more patrons can be served faster. Overall highly recommended, and if I were around the area, I would come much more frequently.

So excited about this place! Amazing gluten free pizza! My friend got a large veggie calzone and was surprised by how huge it was! I can't wait to go back and have more of their pizza, I've missed hot, delicious takeout pizza so much. I have a mild wheat allergy, not celiac, so I can't speak to low-level cross contamination, but they answered my allergy questions and had great service!

Quick Work Lunch 8" pizza takeout review! Thank you Papa John's Pizza Family Run owners! You made my day by reassuring me that I can order a mini pizza with no cheese and tons of tasty veggies without being overcharged or being given a hard time. It is also very appreciate that our family members with gluten free allergies can eat at your place because you make your own pizzas and do not cross contaminate. This is great customer service! And I was greeted the moment I walked in the door. What a treat! Thank all of you.

In comparison to other locations that have appropriately addressed preparations for someone with celiac, the staff here seemed very uneducated in what that means. When asked to wipe down the counter they didn’t, another employee carried a wheat tortilla directly over my order, and everyone was touching the utensil handles and refrigerator handles with no glove changes. This is a major concern anywhere, where food service staff don’t adhere to allergens/illnesses, and also address gluten-free as a diet fad and not an actual health concern. Please educate your staff on celiac and cross contamination.

I'm gluten free and dairy free which limits options at most places. The fries are supposed to be gluten free in a dedicated fryer. I ate them once with no issue but got glutened the second time. I tried the vegan gf curry option the third time, and it was just weird. Raw spinach with cashews on top of it with rice next to it and a pickle and raw carrot relish. Curry sauce to dump on top. It wasn't really a curry of any Asian variety. It was edible, just not tasty. I won't be ordering again though I'm at Liquid State at least once a month with groups that meet there.

This is REAL FOOD people. Super good and hearty food. Very cheap prices. True diner feel from the get go. No fancy vegan, vegetarian, no calorie, gluten free here. Good old fashion American were "town folk" go.
