A hyped up place on lots of GF/DF Edinburgh blogs. The staff were friendly and accommodating, Coffe was good, but sadly not a great review from me. Party of 4, prebooked. We arrived hoping for some yummy or interesting breakfasts as the menu seemed to promise. Their gluten free options were limited and the bread served was horrendous quality, not even toasted or buttered?! We paid between £11 and £17 a head. The food was mediocre at best. Would've liked to try the french toast as that looked and smelt amazing!...but it is only available with dairy. Poached eggs tasted of vinegar. I would not recommend the items we chose: za'atar spiced scrambled eggs on toast with spicy hollandaise, fresh coriander & jalapeno salsa - very meh and surprisingly flavourless. poached eggs on toast, + mushrooms + gf bread - tiny mushrooms grilled into oblivion, possibly the worst gf bread ever, untoasted and unbuttered. hummus on sourdough toast with cherry tomatoes, pickled shallots, za'atar, salda verde, capers & crispy chickpeas - the most interesting of all that we ordered, but really needed more salt! Anyone else of hummus being the go-to for vegans?

We were in the neighborhood doing some shopping and one of the shoppes mentioned Côte. It was nearby and we walked in during a busy lunch time. The accommodated us very nicely considering we didn’t have a reservation. I adore French food but never get to go when dining with my daughter who is gluten and dairy free. However, they had so many items to choose from for her. The food was outstanding!!! Cannot wait to go back.

Very nice food! I apprechiate that the menu is marked with what is gluten free. Had the chicken skewers, very big portion and everything was tasty. I am a sensitive celiac, had no ill effects after the meal.

Had a great experience with hen party of 12 at this restaurant this weekend, food and drinks lovely and there was something for everyone, they had no problems advising on gluten free substitution last minute, 3 course group menu value for money and atmosphere was lovely, buzzing and we could chat freely. Easy to book and deposit was taken off bill as advised. Thank you very much

Amazing service from the minute we arrived and even a joke with one of the servers as we were leaving 😊 The food options are varied and I did have slight food envy of the table beside me. However my food was amazing, perfect flavour and good quantities. One of friends is a coaliac and there is a separate gluten free menu and they have separate cooking utensils etc in the kitchen to make sure there is no contamination. My other friend is a vegetarian and she liked that there are vegetarian options and vegan options. All in, this is one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh

Very nice dining atmosphere at this venue and there was an acoustic music gig as well on Halloween. There's a gluten free menu too which is great. Overall, the service was very friendly, especially from Mallory the waitress who served me. The shop could be stocked with a wider variety of souvenir items though.

What a lovely experience, great service, lovely wine and cocktails and the food was amazing. I am celiac and am often limited on what's on offer, but the staff were knowledgeable and there were so many great options. We will definitely return on our next trip to Edinburgh

Recommended place to eat excellent sweet and savory pancakes. They offer different types of dough, including low fat and gluten free (very careful about contamination). Cute place!

Myself and my family dined here for a birthday meal . 2 of our party had food allergies ( 1 coeliac, 1 tomato allergy) staff couldn't do enough for us to accommodate food allergies. Great service, delicious food and great location in centre of town. We will definitely be back

Just loved it, again! Came in as a party of 12 and found a table fairly quickly that we could all sit at together 🎉 Food was lovely, service was good if a tad slow at times-drinks arriving pretty spread apart even when ordered at the same time from the same vendor. Music was a little loud to enable us all to talk to each other from one end of the group to another but everyone had something they really enjoyed, including veggies, dedicated meat eaters and gluten-free. Can't wait til our next visit!

I went for the unlimited tapas last night and I explicitly said multiple times that I’m allergic to gluten and they fed me 3 gluten tacos. In which I had to go hospital after the dinner. - they still charged me for the meal.

Ah Dishoom! We had a business brunch meeting, not our first, we love this place in the mornings. Bottomless chai and chocolate chai just keep appearing at your elbow, staff are so good. Other coffees and teas also excellent. I'm gluten free so the granola bowl is perfect - granola, vanilla yogurt and colourful fresh fruit always make me so happy. Everyone else went for wraps or the omelette or the bottomless porridge - something for everyone including the dairy-free folk too. We'll be back. Set over three floors, but very popular so do book

The food here is really good. Excellent gluten free selection and a great atmosphere. One thing to watch out for is that the place is cash-free so you have to pay by card, and if you don't specifically ask the waiter you might not get the chance to tip. Would absolutely come here again

A cute small restaurant serving superb and delicious vegan food with an abundance of gluten free options. Their GF dough is one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Everything is fresh and made from scratch, and they have delicious wines too. Staff is wonderfully hospitable and make you feel like you’re at home.

This is a bar focused restaurant, so it's quite casual. Gluten-free churros, with delicious dip- highly recommended. Yum! The roasted beets ranged from cold to hot but mostly luke warm. Beets tasted good, but I was bothed by the temperature inconsistency. I was told this was normal.

Came to tortilla for a bite to eat after shopping all day, the food was amazing and the service was even better!! Lucy was fantastic, she provided explanations to allergens for all ingredients (I have a gluten allergy) and had a smile whilst doing so! If in Edinburgh I would definitely recommend!!

I’m traveling solo and this was an experience that just made me smile and feel comfortable on Easter Sunday! Highly recommend the Duck and “gluten-free” waffles! Also had a great Bloody Mary! Wow, this place was just amazing. We spent 2.5 weeks in Scotland and this was probably our favorite restaurant/meal of the trip. Food and cocktails were amazing. I can’t have gluten and even their meals with no gluten ingredients were fantastic. Wish we had time to go back a second time.

Very nice environment. The pub has live music and decent food at a reasonable price. We were very thankful to be served by Alex who assessed us for gluten free options. There are plenty available plus the possibility to change bun bread in burgers.

Great food... Great atmosphere.... It amazing service! We went here for our first restaurant in Edinburgh and it didn't disappoint! First of all my wife is gluten free and they had a really good GF pizza crust, GF bread for hummus and many many other options. Second, the atmosphere was electric and seemed for of energy! Third, the service was amazing!!! Alexandra deserves a raise! She was awesome! We asked her a question not related to the restaurant (a good bar to go to) and she spent time to ask others about their recommendations! Just great service!!! But seriously if you own this establishment, make sure people like her stay here!

The food was divine but and my gluten free food was so delicious. However, the service was poor. The young girl serving us was not v competent therefore did not justify a 12% service charge included in the bill. Told it was discretionary but you feel obliged to pay. Therefore bill was a bit of a shock. Also felt pressured to leave after we finished our meal. Also don't think that the accompanying wines are worth £30.

They’re as good as the reviews say. Lavender lattes, lots of vegan and gluten free options, and the owner really worked with me to create something actually off the menu so I could eat stuff with my dietary restrictions. Just a note: have signs everywhere no laptops when busy, which is highly volatile/could change always

The food and experience are so delicious! Did the smaller tasting menu and it was the perfect amount of food. They presented each dish and were very pleasant with answering questions and clarifying ingredients. Gluten free and they were great with offering alternate bread and dishes. The space choice is a bit odd, it’s in the middle of the hotel right below a skylight. Felt like a food court but the food and service give a great fine dining experience.

They were able to adapt any pizza or pasta to gluten free which is fantastic. My husband loved their mussels and their rigatoni was lovely. I also got a gluten free blueberry tart that was out of this world.

Food here is just brilliant. I had the Thai red curry. As a coeliac, their gluten free food options are excellent. I was also served by Adarsh who would extremely accommodating and pleasant mannered. I visited the wee Buddha last night and loved it. The restaurant itself has a nice interior and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was great, we shared a variety of starters then had the udon noodles and the ka pow chicken. It was all lovely but I would especially recommend the garlic and chilli squid and the chippy sauce chicken wings. The prices were all very reasonable especially for the large portion sizes. The service was really good and there was also a large range of gluten free options. Would highly recommend.
