I had a fantastic dining experience at Peg Leg Pete's on Pensacola Beach. The service was exceptional—our waitress was not only attentive but also incredibly helpful, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. My wife has food allergies, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her needs, ensuring a completely gluten-free meal without any issues.
The food itself was wonderful. Portions were generous, and the presentation was appealing, adding to the overall experience. It's clear that the restaurant values both quality and customer satisfaction. I left feeling very pleased and would highly recommend Peg Leg Pete's to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service!
Lively spot with great vibes, stunning views, and a lot of promise for future visits, just might need to tweak table reservations!

We dropped in at 5 pm. They said they did not have any water view tables, because they were reserved. Well we left at 6 after having great meals, 50% of the water view tables were still empty. Suggestion, at least leave a couple of tables for walkins or let the walks in know its for a limited time. I see loss of revenue when people don't show up or leave because of no water view.
The food was awesome and service was good.
We had a Shrimp and grits, Salmon dinner and a delicious gluten free brownie with vanilla ice cream and dash of rum. We will return and call ahead of time.
My dad is celiac and IT IS NOT A GLUTEN FREE SAFE PLACE! The server wasn't sure about any meal, she said" maybe it is gluten free" so... If you are celiac you know that " maybe" it's not safe , btw the fans didn't work and no a/c

Fun, rustic atomphere. Covered outdoor seating on the bay. The St Louis ribs were delicious. Fast, friendly service. Server is knowledgeable of gluten free options. Most of the menu is gluten free. Would go back again.
Expect a warm vibe with attentive service and creative presentations that make dining here feel like a special occasion.

Samantha was our hostess and she noticed we were wearing Celiac awareness shirts and offered us gluten free menus immediately. She made us feel welcomed. Our waiter was Tim and he was on point, knowledgeable, funny and personable without being intrusive.
Chill spot with beach vibes, great pizza options, and a prime location near hotels; a bit pricier but worth it for the experience!

We ate here twice during our stay in Pensacola Beach, I had peperoni pizza which was good, it was light on sauce which is the way I like it. My wife had the gluten friendly crust with pepperoni and mushroom both times. She said it was in the top three of all pizzas she has had, mine was good but nothing special. They did leave off the mushrooms the second time, when we did carry out so it would have been too much trouble to go back and get it corrected. The pizza is a bit more expensive than most places, but that is kind of the norm for most restaurants on the beach. And drinks are a bootle or can, so no refills.
Experience a fun beach vibe with great food, lively atmosphere, and fantastic service, making it a go-to spot for many visitors.

I have been here quite a few times and each time has been pleasant. The service is always good and the food as well. Each time I come I make sure to let our server know I have a gluten allergy and also an oyster allergy. They have GF marked next to their Gluten Free items which I love and, in my experience, the servers are knowledgeable. Yesterday, our server was Bethany and she took extra precaution for me and noted all allergies to the kitchen and took very good care of us. I feel very confident when I come in here. I had the ribs, (jr size,) and they fell off the bone, I ate them with a fork they were so tender. My daughter just wanted a side caesar salad and said it was delicious. The restaurants along Pensacola Beach are some of the best but Whiskey Joes is my FAVE!
Enjoy a delightful breakfast experience with accommodating service that keeps patrons coming back for more.

Had almost the whole restaurant to ourselves. But, I don't know why because it was so good! We started with the octopus tentacle which was perfectly cooked. Then I got the seafood rice dish which had shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels. All the gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu. Everything was great and service was impeccable.

I love coming here when in Pensacola. It's my special night for great food and wine. The staff is always wonderful and helped me to navigate my gluten free needs. I have to get the wagyu beef no matter what, it melts on the tongue with a delightful salty feel. I love the new crab dish with delicate radishes. And always find the sashimi to be top notch!

Hands down the best smoothie bowls we have ever had! Plus the granola is gluten free!!! I wish we would have found this earlier in our trip, we would have gotten it every day!!! Adding almond butter and almond slivers gave it some substance and made it more of a complete meal and super filling, but sweet like a dessert! I can't wait until we come back next year!
Meredith was extremely helpful in helping with gluten-sensitive and gluten-free choices!
It seems that MOST of the fried seafood is dipped in a corn flour base. Not all, so check.
Our group had a variety of things including creamy Oysters Rockefeller and yummy fried green tomatoes. Excellent! Hot food was hot! Ordered at counter and food brought to table.
Rumor has it that an elevator is in the future for physically-challenged people. The steps are steep and a little uneven.
Great view of the Bay! Tall tables and chairs outside. Short tables and chairs inside. Full bar. Louisiana and craft beers as well.
Richie was our server and he was awesome! I have a gluten allergy and Richie did a great job helping me find safe items to order. The party atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed our food!

First time there and wow, what a neat little place! Just a super easy going, nice, beachy vibe/décor with both indoor and outdoor covered seating where you can chill in the breeze, which we did. We were immediately sold when the super nice bartender (Krista, who we later learned was actually the GM) said that yep, while they weren’t celiac-friendly due to same fryers, they could totally do cornmeal seafood for GF folks like my wife.
PROS:
• Service (5.0 stars) – Wendy was incredible, crazy friendly and super helpful, got answers to our questions with a smile, super friendly and took great care of us from start to finish!
• Fried Shrimp (4.5) – Loved my regular battered shrimp, and the wife loved her cornmeal shrimp – win-win for both of us!
• French Fries (4.5) – Very fresh, with just the right amount of seasoning, and just the cuts I like too – regular cut, with just a hint of crisp on the outside while being nicely soft on the inside.
• Fried Okra (4.0) – Yummy, and always nice to find a seafood spot who serves it so well : )
• GF Options (5.0) – Not many restaurants in PNSB offer cornmeal seafood so this place is a real gem of a find. Note that they’re not celiac friendly as they don’t have separate fryers, but if you’re like my wife who’s just simply GF and won’t double over from a hint of it, it’s totally fine!
CONS:
• Oh yeah, there were none : )
And like Ahnold said, I’ll be back! (Er, make that “we’ll” be back : ) )
