I have a hard time finding gluten-free, dairy-free food. Ima Noodles checked all the boxes for me! Not only was it delicious but it was healthy and pleasing to the eye. One of my new favorite places!š

Born out of her parentsā kitchen in Milford late-2012 Lisa Ludwinski has earned national recognition at Sister Pie, the story of hard-work and triumph as āblue collarā as Detroit itself though the corner lot on Kercheval Avenue remains humble even now.
Built on loans, grants and friendship, plus a 24-hour dance marathon in 2015, guests entering Sister Pie will quickly note a sizable workspace filled with women, many taking time to greet patrons or offer suggestions of items tucked away on a table behind glass.
Willing to take a stance on environmental issues and workersā rights, a no-tipping policy utilized to assure equality in pay plus biodegradable packaging and composting a priority, choices change daily but always include Cookies such as the Wheat-free Buckwheat Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Golden Raisin and smoky-smooth Peanut Butter Paprika.
Not forgetting a āSandwich Cookieā that looks like two bite-sized Biscuits around Buttercream, a favorite recommended by friends whoāve taken one of Lisaās baking classes, suffice it to say Sister Pieās āFrom Another Galaxy Brownieā lives up to its name while being both gluten-free and vegan while the Strawberry Cornmeal Scone was an edible snapshot of late-Summer.
Obviously not forgetting some eponymous slices, two of four available this day, Salted Maple spins Canadaās classic beautifully on an all-Butter Crust while The Banana Pete puts a mountain of Meringue and crumbled Cookies on a Banana Custard base.

The food is so good!! I went with a friend and we got the peanut stew, bean stew and rice, akasa, and the fufu. It was my first time having fufu I loved it!! Tastes similar to mashed potatoes, next time I go Iāll get that with the peanut stew, they went together so well. My friend is vegan and gluten free and hates having to be the picky one asking questions, but the server was super polite and answered all the questions we had about the ingredients. They have enough vegan and gluten free options to satisfy that crowd, even though they donāt advertise it. My only suggestion would be to add vegan/gluten free symbols to the menu so people donāt have to ask, or worse, not order yāallās delicious food bc they arenāt sure and donāt want to ask! Already craving another peanut stew and fufu!!! Thank you!!

Not great for people with serious gluten intolerance due to cross-contamination risks. There was some effort made to bake the pizza in a separate tray but it was still contaminated and I got really sick

This established brunch place was unusually not busy early one winter weekend at the original downtown Detroit location. My vegetarian omelet was a decent but my friend raved about her gluten free eggs benedict. Service was good and fast. It was quite a bit busier when we left.
I was lucky enough to find a street space but there are plenty of lots and garages within 5 minutes walking

An incredible dining experience. Super high quality food and great atmosphere. We sat at the chefs counter and our server, Ryan, was fantastic - both attentive and kind. Incredibly accommodating to food allergies, we had a lot of options and a great gluten free meal.

Came in to order takeout for lunch yesterdayā Molly killed it! She had to balance the floor (which had a 40+ party in one room alone), the bar, AND takeout. Food was well worth the wait; as a plus, the gluten-free substitutes were high quality.

Chartreuse was an excellent dining experience. I ate with a large work group, and everything was spectacular. From the entrees to the salads and desserts, everything was delicious with unique options and good flavors. It was also able to accommodate celiac gluten free and vegan options for our groups. I highly recommend their Mocktails and homemade cola.

Came here with a friend on Saturday. I had one mocktail called a āSpa Waterā and one cocktail called āBuddy Buddy.ā Both were excellent. A friend and I shared brussel sprouts and a half chicken. Food was good. The flavors were subtle, but the food was well-made. They were patient with me and accommodated my gluten allergy. We were served at the bar and the bartender gave great service. Will likely come back š

Cozy restaurant in the city with great energy and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
They serve good coffee, also decaf too and teas. Thoughtfully curated menu with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Great for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
The space is bright and filled with natural light, thanks to its corner location and large windows.
The ambiance is enhanced by good music, and everything is kept clean, tidy, and spotless.
Thereās also a charming little shop inside, offering unique finds like books, oils, coffee, artisanal foods and curious articles.
Laptops are welcome, making it a perfect spot to work, read, write, or simply catch up with friends over a meal or a cup of coffee.
The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the overall warmth and positive vibe of the place.
I would definitely come back!
The staff is amazing, the bar is good. The food selection includes gluten free and is well rounded. However, the food can be hit or miss depending on who is working the kitchen. Tonight was a miss. Other nights are great!

This place offers gluten free options that are not gluten free :) I have celiac disease and had told the cashier that. He told me he didnāt know what that was (concerning, but can understand not everyone knows), so i explained. He said it shouldnāt be a problem and that he would tell the cooks in the back. After eating all my food i immediately felt sick and threw up everything i had eaten.

Gluten Free & Handicap Accessible Review:
I've been to Leila multiple times & have always been very satisfied.
Food: The food quality and preparation is exceptional. The menu is marked with gluten free indicators, making it easy for myself (and the kitchen) to order. I have not ordered one item I haven't been happy with- definitely recommend sampling multiple dishes off the mezze menu.
Service: The service has been consistently good during my multiple visits. This last visit, I ate with a friend who utilizes a wheelchair for their mobility. I notified the restaurant when booking my reservation that we would need a handicap accessible table. Upon being taken to our table close to the doors, we noticed they already had the fourth chair of our table removed to make room for the wheelchair. We eat out all over metro Detroit and this is the first time the table has been properly prepared with the chair removed to make room for the wheelchair. Huge thank you to the team there for thinking ahead & making the seating experience seamless just by providing one simple accommodation. It may have seemed liked a small measure to the staff, but it was huge to our group. We will definitely be back!

Atmosphere was amazing, such a cool place. Unfortunately my filet was WAY overcooked, shells in the lobster bisque, and cocktails were all sickly sweet. Still a good experience but for such an amazing location I would hope for a better dining experience. Also some confusion about gluten free options which left me nervous as someone with Celiac but luckily I ate the filet, bisque, and Panna Cotta and was fine after.

Sicilyās Pizzeria & Subs exudes a charming, nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of classic pizzerias. As my Uber driver noted, āThat place has been here forever. I remember coming here as a kid. Great pizza!ā His sentiment held true.
While it may not be the absolute best pizza Iāve ever had, I genuinely enjoyed it. I opted for the Meat Lovers pizza on a gluten-free crust, and it was both satisfying and flavorful.
The establishment operates on a self-service model: orders are placed at the counter, and food is delivered to your table when ready. This setup complements the relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Wonderful little gem for those who need gluten free or other allergy accommodations on the go at the airport. All the prepared items have little signs indicating what allergies they accommodate, including gluten free. They have a really nice sized yummy gluten free breakfast sandwich that Cole helped me make sure was celiac safe. Went above and beyond to check with the manager, chat about it, and do a couple extra steps to make sure I felt safe with it. (And for a *gluten free* sandwich, it was a good price, too!)

This experience was awesome! We made it to the restaurant just before the kitchen closed. We were on a deadline ourselves because our daughter has Type 1 diabetes and a gluten allergy, which makes dining out very complicated. Our server, Brandon, was on top of it. He was able to get out food order in before the cutoff time, with crazy dietary restrictions to contend with. Did I mention that it was also my daughter's birthday? He made sure my daughter got her birthday (gluten free) desert, and he even sang happy birthday to her. It was the perfect ending to such a special day for a special little girl!
Added bonuses... live music, a birthday dance, GREAT food, and the most beautiful views of the Detroit River and Windsor, Ontario!

Their menu highlights fresh & in season items that are locally sourced (huge win in my book), and they have something for all of my friends with various dietary considerations. Gluten free? Lactose intolerant? Vegan? Halal? They'll feed you something awesome. I have brought friends here again and again simply because 1) I know they're not going to get this same experience anywhere else 2) I know they'll love the food 3) it gives me an excuse to come back
The chef & staff really makes you feel like you're at their home and you're an esteemed guest! Learn about Moroccan tea service with a tall pour, try a fun new seasonal drink or a non-alcoholic wine, or attend one of the many celebratory nights hosted at Saffron.
As a long time guest, I will continue to frequent this place for the incredible flavors & the welcoming service. This restaurant has truly changed my perspective on learning about cuisine, experiencing new flavors, & being part of a community.
A vibrant spot with delicious offerings and a buzz of excitement, though the service could use a bit more attention at the start.

Very safe for celiacs needing to eat gluten free. Great food we will be back. A mix of Cuban/Latin American. If you go before a 7pm Redwings game, go at 5pm to get a seat. We loved the chicken and beef Fritas. GF eater had chicken verde bowl. Next time, weāll order the mayo on the side for the sandwiches, they add a lot and it gets messy. Also, we loved the plantains, but not the loaded ones, because the beans are really spicy. Large groups consider getting the bucket of beers or the fishbowl cocktails because it packs up before games or events and it is hard to get the second drink.

The food was absolutely excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The view was absolutely excellent. The only reason Iām not giving it five stars in every single category is that I did mention I have a gluten allergy, and there was one small gluten item that was missed in the dessert that I ordered. Otherwise, the staff was very proactive and swapped out gluten-free options without my direction throughout the meal. And once again, all the food was wonderful.

This is a main stay for my husband and I! Michael Ransom and his team continually deliver amazing hospitality and INCREDIBLE food.
The staff is always so attentive-whether it's the hostess, bartenders or servers. The staff is a HUGE part of why we come back on an almost weekly basis.
This is the go to spot when we have guests in town as the menu has something for everyone-meat eaters, vegans, and gluten free dinners alike. The drink menu is always on point with a great selection of sake, beers, wine, and cocktails.
And the weekly happy hour is one of the best in the city. $5 pints of Sapporo and carafes of sake, and awesome shareable for only $5 a pop.
If you're looking for a warm, unpretentious dining environment that always has great music playing, lovely hospitality and a menu that will satisfy any appetite, this is your spot!
Really neat place. Trendy and comfy atmosphere. Really appreciate the variety of food and the ability to accommodate all allergies and diets, from vegan to gluten-free.
